What didn't you like about RDR1?

Here's my shitlist from the original Red Dead Redemption:

  1. Skinning cut-scenes. I think everyone will agree with me on that one
  2. The camera
  3. Money was near useless once you had enough bullets.

What else you do guys want to see NOT make it to Red Dead Redemption 2?

The skinning scene for me as well. I made a thread similar to this one already.

Other than that I never really had too many complaints. Minor ones like the horse being glitchy and the online issues I suppose.

I don't recall anything bothering me enough to not like it. To me, the game was nearly perfect. If something ever annoyed me enough for me to announce it on the forum it would have to drop points from the entire game. I still give this one a 10 out of 10.

Red Dead Redemption was my favourite game of the PS3/Xbox 360 Generation and it's extremely hard to find fault in the game, I wasn't a big fan of the limited customization options we had in Single Player and Multiplayer so it would be nice if Rockstar rectified that in Red Dead Redemption 2. I also think Red Dead Online would benefit from not having a Fast Travel Transport system because although it helped you get around quicker in Red Dead Redemption's Multiplayer it made the map feel smaller and less vast when you could cross it in a few seconds.

I was going to mention this. The quick travel thing is not something I care for. I mean like in GTA, it was cool to just drive around and take everything in. So long as the story is done right, then a fast travel isn't needed and shouldn't be used online at all.

Camp grounds. I don't know why, but I could only watch them so many times. Was it really needed to set up a camp ever time you wanted to travel somewhere!?

I wasn't much a fan of these either. The fast travel was fin but to have to pitch a tend every time was annoying.

I would have been okay with this had he done something different now and then but I guess that is asking for too much back then. Now though... Come on! haha

Yeah it felt very taxing and repetitive. I am not sure what they will do for RDR2 but I hope they touched it up and made it more entertaining and less of a chore.

Can't agree more about the money thing. This seems to be something most open world action games suffer from. There's often times just too few things worth buying to ever have to worry about money.

I never had a problem with the skinning animations. The blood splatter on the "camera" was a bit silly but other than that I was fine with it. Beats the hell out of the Assassin's Creed games where they just sort hover their hands over the animal's corpse.

One thing that really bugs me though is how impatient the NPCs are. Mostly the side quest people. As soon as a cut scene was over they'd have some comment about you not leaving to start the quest soon enough. You literally can't get away fast enough to avoid it. It's a relatively small thing to complain about but it made the NPCs so much hard to like.

The cut-scenes you had to endure while skinning... PLEASE SAVE ME!

If you parked your horse right on top of the animal it wouldn't go to cut scene, it would just give you the items.
