jadams19871
Been seeing ppl say they use a different horse for hunting than anything else what kind of horse do y’all use for hunting? I personally use a draft horse to be more Specific a red chestnut Suffolk Punch
xsugarskull
The reason some people use a specific horse for hunting is because it likely scares the least of their stable. I find the Arabian to be the best overall. If you are lucky enough to find a white one in the wild, that should be your main horse.
Foxtrot
I used the same horse for everything. I didn't really notice much different between the different kinds apart from looking a bit different to each other.

The stats are pretty different but as you level them up and all that, they kind of just blend together and become the same horse with only slight differences. I just went based on looks for most of the ones I have.

Has a solid build and when you level em up, they seem to get the best stats overall. Some think the horse is kind of basic but I always had a soft spot for plain/basic transport in games. Blend you in better online and offline.
harry747
i wasn't looking for the arabian, but i was on the west side of lake isabella, going after something else, and there it was, right in front of me. so i thought "hey, why not?" and i went for it. a few minutes later that white horse was mine 🙂 and no, i don't plan to "train" it the way shawn hufford did... an unrelated bit of advice: don't park your horse on the train tracks. the critters aren't even smart enough to get out of the way of an approaching train.
Seanoftheshredz
I've ridden most of the horses in the game and the best is probably the Turkoman. The Arabians are fast and extremely agile but are very skittish. Actually, my favorite horse is the Brindle Thoroughbred you can buy for $450. 7 speed, 5 acceleration and is not a total coward. Instead of buying the horse, however, I stole it from the female NPC who will challenge you to a race in Lemoyne. I actually have stolen the horse from her twice and keep one of them stabled. I accidently experimented with this once and I can confirm, they just stand there like a frog on a log. My horse took the smack of a lifetime to his rear end and didn't make it lol
liquidfire
I don't know, I always noticed a difference with handling and speed with my horses. Maybe some are just a lot closer in stats than others. My one horse is slow as balls and his stamina seems to suck.

They have some bad horses in the game in comparison to the better ones but if you stick to the upper or lower end with all your horses, the stats will be very close and you will struggle to notice a difference.
