White Hat or Black Hat? Arthur is going to be a bad guy. But your play style is your own and so you'll be making a lot of his choices for him. How will you play? I typically am a White Hat player. Mostly noble, honorable, avoid hitting pedestrians, don't shoot people or animals just for the sake of doing so. However, in GTAV, I played Trevor as a psychopath . Arthur will be kind of a bad dude, but maybe on the path of righteousness and so I'll play him as such. How will you play?1 point

R* haven't been sitting around since we saw the first trailers! The graphics seem to have been improved and refined since the first trailers we saw. I am surprised at how much the general store has been altered since the first trailers we saw.1 point

I think they will do fine with this. They learned a lot with GTA V and keeping it fresh. Doing some work on and offline is ideal. Like I would personally like to see some offline story DLC that extends that part of the game. Maybe give us one where we play as John, another where we play as Sadie Adler. Give us a nice mix of different characters. Hell, do one for each of the main gang members.1 point

I would like to add Rihanna to this. Both of them are vastly overrated. Thier songs are repetitive and mostly trashy. Maybe it is just me but hip hop and r&b just isn't the same anymore, especially when it comes to the women. Give me No Scrubs any day over this current garbage.1 point

The really did add a lot to GTA and I am sure RDR2 will get the same treatment. Even though I lost quite a lot of interest in GTA V, I still hopped on to see what was new every few months so it does keep people interested.1 point

It's designed maliciously to make you give up and buy a Shark Card but having said that, I personally didn't have much of a problem with the CEO/MC Work Alerts when it was cargo that could be stolen as I'm all for killing others for personal gain savage utopia style. My problem was that all CEO/MC Work apart from Hanger Cargo and Vehicle Cargo couldn't be stolen by other players, it only gave players the option to destroy Cargo so that's what everyone did and destroying Cargo was a lot easier than stealing it especially with all the military style vehicles Rockstar kept adding.1 point

R$ even actively encourage griefing by highlighting you on the map when you're doing missions. They say in RDR2 you won't appear on everyone's map unless they are nearby, but judging by the "LOOK EVERYONE, SOMEONE IS TRYING TO EARN $20,000 SO THEY CAN SAVE UP FOR A RESKINNED $3m SUPERCAR THAT GOES 120kmph" way they do things now I can't see them being anything BUT that in this game. I stand to be corrected.1 point

I totally understand where your coming from, if I had to describe GTA Online in one word that word would be "Toxic". It's ironic to me because when you look back at GTA IV and RDR Multiplayer and how players on there behaved compared to GTA Online there's a significant difference, players on those games weren't always friendly but it was rare to see someone play with the sole purpose of trolling or griefing other players. You'd think GTA Online would have less griefers, trolls and tryhards with all the anti griefer features Rockstar included as a precaution such as Passive Mode but instead a lot of the features they included just ended up being abused by the very players they were designed to protect against. The main problem in my opinion was that they forced all players regardless of their play style to play together in the same lobbies, if they'd kept the Friendly Freeroams from their previous titles, scrapped Passive Mode, the Kill Yourself option and the KD ratio as well as layed off the incorporation of more and more military style vehicles and weapons we might of had far better online experience.1 point

They should have two types of sessions. One that is balls to the wall, zombies, pegasus', aliens and an assortment of ridiculous sh*t. And one that is grounded and realistic. You'll find me in the latter.1 point

Some brilliant ideas here but I don't think Arthur will survive cos Ross just wouldn't allow it so I think shits ganna go down and alot of your gang is ganna get killed on the job where John gets shot and what is left of the gang being Bill, Javier, Arthur and dutch make a run for it leaving john to think they abandoned him thn after they make it to safety Arthur tells dutch he wants out or something like that and takes Arthur's lady friend and they settle down and have a child together thn skip forward a few years and john finds him and in the reunion cutscene your given a button prompt to pull the trigger and you think your pulling the trigger as Arthur but when you do john fires and kills Arthur the a cut scene following john he gets on a ferry to backwater and lead into RDR11 point

The way he's sauntering around, it looks as though he has a real score to settle with Mr. Unfortunate here. (aka, "Man from Blackwater.") Easy answer: If the guy's a stranger and I know nothing about him (or I know he's a good guy) - Help. If the guy's a child murderer or a rapist or tried to kill me - probably a Kill. Granted, I too like to play honorably, but there are certain things that would make me want to step on those fingers. It's all up to the storyline.1 point

Knowing me I'll do 2 run-throughs of the story to try both. First time will be help.1 point

I play both PvE and PvP, better when I can do both in a game. I don't need an endless supply of DLCs just for PvP, I would like some PvE stuff as well. Like I said on other topics, when online play is all about griefing others or being griefed by others, I lose interest. That isn't fun for me, we live in a world where we tell kids not to bully one another cause it can be life altering for one of them even enough to have them hurt themselves. Yet our entertainment we enjoy most, seems to be bully one another to see how bad we can affect another's life and not care. Think about it, online games now days. Online games are no longer about who is better. In GTA, it's about a new player facing a player in a fighter jet or a tank or some other super high tech killing machine. The Division, players with optimized gear in groups of 4+ attacking solo players. Now games are adding taunts for when you down somebody. When anyone ask how is this acceptable, the response is "git gud" or "GET OUT!" I get the idea of competition, but why do players have to be sore winners as well as sore losers. In competition I would prefer my opponents to earn my respect and visa versa by competing.1 point

I was thinking about it the other day and I know we have talked about it on here at some point, but what are the chances of an online server crashing when the online end is available? Knowing that the hype for this one is a lot bigger than the last one makes me think we will see similar issues like with GTA V.1 point

That would be a bad ass costume if he was like 10 years younger...1 point

I'll just play to the tune of Arthur. If he is a heartless hitman, which is what I gather from the trailers, then I will play just like that. I don't tend to be creative or thinking outside the box with my gaming style.1 point

Forgive me if I over think this, I have a tendency to think deeper the question sometimes. In life being a good or a bad person really depends on one's perspective, for example Robin Hood, according to the tales he was a good guy. Robbed from the rich and gave to the poor. Now one version I have read. Truthfully, him and his merry men were bad guys. They broke the law, they stole from the rich and they had no qualms of killing to get what they wanted. Now some would say they did that to protect the people and that they gave all their loot to the people. Some believe that they actually shared their bounty for 2 reasons. 1st, to buy peoples' silence. You give a starving person food and eventually the will follow you like a puppy begging for scraps. 2nd, they had to be constantly on the move. Too much bounty is hard to move, so they only kept what they could carry. Now GTA 5, Michael and Franklin, I treated as they two people that just made bad choices. I never took a life when playing them that I didn't have to. Now Trevor, I really didn't like playing and yes I treated him like he was psycho all the time. Normally being a white hat kind of guy if I can be I imagine I will play him the same way I did Michael and Franklin, but Rockstar has a tendency to put characters in bad situations.1 point

I am the same way. I like to play games out as I would in real life. Not just running around shooting aimlessly for laughs. I will submerge myself into him and play it with my own intentions.1 point

This is just to say random thoughts about the game, yeah? I found the forum on Reddit and since that site seems to be getting too toxic I joined here. I am new to Red Dead Redemption but this looks so good!1 point
