Oh I can do yours, too, if you want: "I crafted my username in part (obviously) as a Sly nod to the structure of Apollo Creed, as a character in the Rocky series. Apollo has earned every accreditation he has through hard work and skill, but by the time we meet him in the Rocky series, his dedication has begun to slip somewhat. Where he should make short work of a street thug that he dragged up to a pedestal, he opts not to dedicate the proper time and energy to training, expecting his skill to carry him through the fight, and shifts his focus to putting on a show. Only narrowly defeating Rocky in their first fight, Apollo takes the lesson to heart when we see him again in Rocky II, and he fully devotes himself to proper training, determined to prove that Rocky's surprising challenge in the previous fight was a fluke. However, he forgets this lesson in time for Rocky IV and again leans on his skill and showmanship to the detriment of proper training and respect for his opponent. In making this mistake again, it proves to be fatal, and Apollo dies as a result of his arrogance (ancient spoiler alert). That portion of the name choice stands as a reminder to me not to take myself too seriously, to learn from my mistakes, and to ensure that I apply the proper attention to the things that need it. The 'Bro' part acknowledges that though I have worked hard to get where I am, I can't pretend that I don't at least benefit somewhat from the Bro culture I find myself in. This helps keep me humble and ensures that unlike Apollo, I don't overlook the value of my advantages, at the expense of hard work. Also beer is nice." And now the trite version of mine: I like hair metal and having fun. The first time I used "Nothin But A Good Time" as a username, it was two letters too long, so I chopped off the vowels in "Nothin" figuring that word would be the easiest to decipher without vowels. Occasionally hearing someone call me Nathan over a game microphone reminds me that I was wrong. My name is not Nathan...or anything close to it.3 points

Sounds like you're misinterpreting people's indifference to sexual content in games as some sort of moral high ground. If you read most of these replies I believe you will see that there is a common tone of simple disinterest in the topic in this sense. It seems you're trying to create an argument where there is none. Personally, all of those other activities in RDR2 sound interesting to me as I'm sure R* also thought they would be. To be frank, I don't get the desire to have sexually explicit content in the game but okay, that's your thing. I'm just saying that folks like me don't need it or necessarily feel it adds value. I also don't believe you can't have one without the other as you seem to be suggesting. .....as if you're saying it's not okay to have graphic violence in a game unless you have sex too. I wasn't offended by the sex scenes in the Witcher but I also didn't think they were necessary either. I wouldn't have felt the game was lacking without them but that's just me.2 points

I struggle with this question every time a new game comes out. This one is special too because of the love I had for the original. But, my philosophy is, give it an hour or so at launch, get some sleep, then hit it relatively fresh the next day. I'm retired but I do have to get up at 6 to put the daughter on the bus every morning. I'll probably end up going longer and then regret it the next day when I can't keep my eyes open!!2 points

Side quests and mini games add to the game though... Sorry if that came across as me being angry, I really wouldn't care at all. I just don't think it's important. But to be fair, I also don't care for cosmetics in games (for the most part). Just fluff content that serves no real purpose. Some customization is fine, but I don't care to spend hours creating my character. I want to play the game, so I often use the defaults. That was one of my first clips on xbox. I was just driving around trying to find a place to bring her and parked on the train tracks. That forced the train to stop and the conductor watched us the whole time. I thought it was hilarious!2 points

I don't know. Probably? Small groups of people like to ruin things for everyone else. This is true for everything from video games to politics. People suck. I hope there is an option to be on a private server where you can invite like up to 10 friends or something.1 point

I don't believe in them. I can't believe in something without proof. Maybe that is just me? I like facts, not theories or feelings. I have a friend who believes in aliens and I can talk about the topic rationally but no one has ever been able to change my mind on it.1 point

I would have preferred to see your name be "TlkDirtyToMe". A bit more visual poetry in that gem of a song. As for me, it all comes down to this: Captain Chaos, and every derivative thereof, was taken on PSN. I've always been "Captain Chaos," and was heartbroken I couldn't be for my gamertag. I tried other names for upwards of ten minutes. Finally, I remembered something my wife had recently said: We were driving home one night, and I had a large fountain drink of Coca-Cola. I took a sip and was surprised at how good it was. I told my wife she needed to try it because it was so good. The instant she took a sip, we drove into the most noxious cloud of skunk stink you've ever smelt. Honestly, it was putrid. My wife, mouth full of soda, reacted: "Eeehhwww! It tastes like cokey skunk!" So, I tried that on the PSN. It worked. (shocking) Now I have to deal with people calling me "Cokey," which I detest. . . . and I still wish I were Captain Chaos. 😔1 point

One of my favorite memories from my kids' early childhood is jamming out to the radio with them and then, when the song ended, hearing a little voice from the back ask, "What aren't they going to take anymore, Daddy?" Somewhere in my attic, there is a Polaroid of me in 3rd or 4th grade with my best friend at the time wearing our Karate Kid pajamas and posing in mid-fight stances. To maximize product placement, you can see my GI Joe underwear through the cheap pajama pants. Yeah. I'll karate you.1 point

God, I miss the '80's. My kids know all the words to that one (and Here I Go Again by Whitesnake, and many MANY others) and I'm not the least bit sorry. Also: Time to bust out my Karate pajamas.1 point

I read the title and thought this for an adult film title. lol Yeah we really don't need any aspects of sex aside from general passing ones that don't show much. Thing bj's in a car like GTA. That is more a less there for humor than anything and I am okay with that but if we get to a point where this is like the Sims is now and everyone can hook up with everything and be on full display... It would ruin it for me.1 point

With every major game release that doesn't have some kind of mandatory online date verification, it is inevitable that a couple of copies get out early. However, none have gotten out quite as early as Red Dead Redemption 2 - as some new "rumors" would have you believe. A couple of photos circulating online suggest that one or more lucky fans are already playing the game. But are these images legitimate? The news was first reported by Gearnuke, and no publication has offered a first-hand account of this since - everyone is quoting them. The fact that this rumor only has the one source is an immediate red flag. Secondly, the photos aren't even in-game, but PlayStation menu shots showing previous play sessions for the game. Such images are, of course, infinitely easier to fake than something like an in-game menu, or a screenshot of gameplay that Rockstar hasn't released yet. If you actually have a leaked copy of this hugely anticipated game and you're willing to post images of it, wouldn't you be more flashy about it? Other things don't add up either - it can't be from a review copy, since Rockstar doesn't send out copies of their games, but instead holds review events. It almost certainly isn't a developer, since they'd be playing with their jobs with nothing to gain. Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't have any early access schemes, unlike some other games that offer certain pre-orders access to the game sooner. If this is a copy that got out from a retailer before the street date, that retailer will be looking at a lot of flak. We're almost a month away from launch making this one of the most brazen violations of street date if it is that at all. Additionally, Red Dead Redemption 2 almost certainly has a date-lock as many retailers ship physical pre-orders a day or two before street date. The images shared indicate that the system used is in online mode, which would lock out the game. However, on the very slight off-chance that this is legit and someone who isn't a dev or a journalist has already played the game, you should be very careful here on out with information related to Red Dead Redemption 2, since spoilers might begin to circulate. As highly anticipated a game as this is, people in possession of such spoilers will be keen to share. If you want strictly spoiler-free coverage of Red Dead Redemption 2 news leading upto and following release on the 26th of October, stick to our site, as we won't be publishing any such spoilers. Yes, they have various names. Arthur and John can be seen using one in the most recent gameplay trailer.1 point

Yeah there's a fast travel thing in the camp via other characters I think. Can't remember but it's in one of LKHD's vids.1 point

Jesus. Now mine looks trite: I needed a fun name with "Bro" in it somewhere from an online gaming group I was part of. I had about six ideas, and this one was the best option. It also looks good framed against one of the funniest scenes from HIMYM: And for people who don't understand why that is so funny: Hopefully my end will be far less tragic than Apollo's.1 point

Mine is lifted from the refrain of a piece by a poetry collective formed in the waning years of the prior century which was comprised of Dall, Deville, Michaels, Rockett, Bombilla, and Carretero. The verses depict both the lament and joy of the working class man as he devotes the entirety of his days to grinding labor whilst he dreams of the release of celebration upon his work's end. While not explicit in the wording, one can draw the implication that the desired recreation achieved as a result of the intensity of his toil is only sweetened by the stark contrast between the dueling yet collaborative tasks. My choice to select from this composition reflects my own elation upon the arrival of the time where I can lay down my burdens and responsibilities, and can bask in the abandon of my choice of diversionistic pursuits. Additionally, I desired to illustrate my intent to focus on joviality and ribaldry, when employing the selected username, and shy away from more sobering points of focus. The choice to remove the vowels from the first word, both the O and the I, was my cheeky attempt to separate my use of the verse as a name from the British influences on the culture preceding and proceeding from the era from which it was derived, by having the chant of "oi" excised from the conversation. Though I can appreciate the value of and enjoy those Anglo-centric artists, I chose to celebrate the distinctly American brashness that accompanied the artists at that time.1 point

They should have at least let us hog time them lol Then again, people would just take that the wrong way. Either way, glad they won't be being used as target practice.1 point
