  1. After considering all things and putting 2 and 2 together I came to the conclusion that I expect that RDR2 will probably be fixed for good on the PS5! They will probably make it one of the selling points for the new console. Remastered or at least graphicly improved and/or enhanced with a new form of anti aliasing and off course 4k and true hdr! So I won't expect a final solution myself anymore, but more of a alternative in the form of a PS5. Profit is a bitch when you know it is all and only about making money! Also (and this has nothing to do with the hdr/blur problems), after watching a certain YouTube video, I came to the conclusion that the RDR2 game design isn't that revolutionary as many think. Watch this video and make up your own mind: Rockstars game design is outdated! Also I noticed that the self proclaimed "employee of Rockstar" has been quiet, so that means that he doesn't know anymore what to say because of the lack of any true solution or he stopped trolling! 👎

  2. Do you really think they would do something like that intentionally and not expect lawsuits? Of course not. If it were intentional, legal recourse would be swift, and they're smart enough to know that. As was suggested before, try contacting customer support and see if they can help you before making angry decisions, like these jerky-jerkfaces are just trying to scam you out of your cashola.

  3. You definitely need to be using it, it does feel underwhelming compared to the single player's version of it, but there types of ability cards that augment your dead eye. For example one ability allows your friends to deal more damage while your dead eye is active, some allow you to absorb a headshot without dying - so, it is very useful but not in quite the same way as single player. I found that the 'paint it black' ability in online is good for long range fire fights where your lock doesnt reach your target, if you pop dead eye you can 'tag' your enemy and hit them from greater ranges - id say if you're not using dead eye, your missing out

  7. I watched a video yesterday where it discussed this very topic. Guy said it was left in unintentionally from an earlier build, and that Take2 were so adamant that they wanted gold in right away, that R* totally forgot to take it out.

  8. Its not a bug. Youtube has many clips of the same thing. It clearly shows buy for gold, then you are prompted to go to psn store to spend REAL money then when it brings you back the option to buy for gold is gone. Hourly there is more youtube clips of the same thing from different ppl. I think the scumbag business side of Red dead should expect a large law suit coming and all that money they made to disappear along with the player base.

  12. Honestly without "paint it black" set as active I cant even mark X's on targets so other than the buffs it can provide (later levels) I don't see much reason to use it. Tried a new loadout very recently to see how it would work and as far as offense goes and hated it. Untill I have the funds to upgrade some of these ability cards, ill be sticking with paint it black for sure.

  13. It's funny because I go by the name Vaderspupil because I'm a big Darth Vader fan, yet I prefer playing as the good guy in any roleplaying type games. For the most part, I treat others in game how I treat them in real life. I treat them how I want to be treated in return. However, if you're an asshole to me, I'll be an asshole right back.

  14. I use it online, but feel it's less effective as it is offline. I usually using it to get multiple headshots in a group, yet the others just seem to walk away without a scratch.

  15. OP doesn't like the game. The argument that it "sucks" is so powerful I'm going to go home and snap the disc and throw it in the river. For my money, this is the most satisfying gaming experience I've ever had. I am 36 years old and was like a kid watching his first movie for about 100 hours. I never really understand this kind of "criticism", but then i don't understand the point of a lot of internet interaction to be honest.

  16. Thanks for the translations. As for TD2, you got the exact idiots from Massive making it, being controlled by the same idiots from Ubisoft, who are asking for the same idiot YouTubers who screwed up the whole PvP situation. Yeah, it will be a train wreck and don't see any reason to buy the game. My son wants it and may convince me to buy it, but I don't see it being a better game in PvP or the DZ. I don't see anything changing. In fact had a friend who played the Alpha, supposedly he was told not to speak about it. He stated improvements was made, but not enough to endorse the game but he believes that if you liked the 1st, you will like the 2nd. Wouldn't tell me squat about it beyond that.

  18. Translation: I blew through the game so fast that I'm now bored and it's ruined for me, so I want to deprive others of any enjoyment so they're as dull and lifeless on the inside as I am. Translation: Anything that isn't explicitly banned is permitted. This is the same logic that allows sociopaths like myself to justify morally reprehensible actions with no fault or presumption of guilt. Unless said person IS a member of the development team, he or she has no idea what their intent is, and are projecting to justify their own actions. For almost 100 years, the United States allowed slavery because there was no law against it. I suppose that made it okay, too (sarcasm). Translation: I'm an emotionless monster incapable of genuine feelings, so I have to feed off the extremes of others to have any sort of satisfaction. There are a LOT of people like this in Corporate America who have nothing better to do than provoke people into a reaction. Translation: I'm so incredibly myopic and short sighted that I didn't even consider the fact that if I get people to quit, there's fewer people to abuse, limiting my opportunity to do so. I'm the sort of person who wins a year's supply of pizzas and eats them all in a week because I have no self control or awareness. Translation: Mommy and Daddy gave me everything I ever wanted in life. Ethan Crouch is my role model. Translation: I'm a walking contradiction: I have to ruin the game for others so that it isn't ruined for me. Your own enjoyment of the game means nothing as long as I'm happy. Rules for thee and not for me! Translation: My parents and teachers gave me participation ribbons and trophies for everything in life, so I have never learned the value of hard work or self-improvement. As a result, I claim to be emotionally damaged because I can't face the truth that my pain is caused by my own laziness and awareness of my own lack of self-worth as a human being. The despondency is why I lash out at others, because I want to, (as the always eloquent Mike Tyson once said) " stomp on their testicles so you could feel my pain." Pretty accurate analysis of the PvP DZ. I'd argue that playing PvE Survival gave you that same experience without the grief of the regular DZ. Sure, mobs didn't respawn, so it wasn't quite as farmable, but essentially, it's similar enough. It also provided (for me at least) the most fun version of the game. They also made a critical change to the way the DZ functions to give PvE players an opportunity to avoid "kill squads". Anyone that goes rogue is visible on both the minimap and large scale overlay, so it's simple enough to avoid them. And if a player in your vicinity decides to go Rogue, the days of them simply bushwacking you from behind and unloading an entire mag into your back are gone. They have to actively select it from their menu and there's a cooldown. You get a notification that someone near you is going Rogue, and have time to prepare. Griefers can't bait you into going Rogue by diving into your line of fire anymore to make you the aggressor. Sure, coordinated groups can camp spawns, but anyone going into the DZ has the ability to fast travel to any number of other spawn points away from those clowns and farm different landmarks. It's easy enough to avoid them with the smallest amount of planning and situational awareness--It's the DZ, and mobs will spawn right on top of you if you dither. I'm in a different place on The Division, having only come into it about a year after it was released. My perspective is VERY different from people who were hyped up by the E3 presentations and promises that never materialized on consoles--I came aboard right as the critical patches and content updates were being deployed that made it a MUCH different game (exotics, sets, incursions, Survival, the Underground, etc...). If I was a launch player, I probably wouldn't have been as forgiving of the initial experience. Looking more forward to the PvE online portions of TD2 more than I am RDO in it's current state, though, I can tell you that much.

  19. I am sorry to laughing or even smiling at such a serious thing, but I could not help myself. I guess it is true that humans way of handling tragedy is to do it with comedy. Anyway, I hope it will get better and that those affiliated with the irl violence will get caught and sentenced to life sentences.

  20. Exactly as Holyskin said above. Youd be missing out by not using it. If found that for it to be at all effective for shooting you really do need to get the "Paint it Black" ability card. (free at the start of game during a mission). And as he said above. You can really ensure those long distance headshots. I normally will activate during a shootout against a guy in cover and as long as the dot is anywhere in the path of his head as he pops out it will mark him.... then just pull the trigger. I especially like marking 6 or more tagets in the head and letting go a barrage of death with my dual wielded cattlemen.

  21. I didn't realize that Detroit had fallen so far on the leaderboard. Maybe a few weapons upgrades and a poverty card would put us up on top again. St. Louis might be tough to catch. They have a very strong PVP game and their griefers are second to none.

  22. I'd do that for free. If you think about it, that's next-level griefing, and smart, too. No gunshot means no noise, and he or she isn't wasting an arrow. They loot your saddlebags and abscond with XP AND loot. It's actually quite brilliant if you think about it. A candy-ass move, but no less impressive for the intent. Hell, he or she probably gets away with it more often than not, especially against players unaware of what's happening. Same. I played through the prologue and got right up to the free roam portion, and haven't touched it since. Of course, I'm still only on Chapter 3 of the story mode (50% completion) so I really haven't prioritized the online portion as of yet. But the horror stories are enough to give anyone not overly enthused with the PvP lifestyle pause. You know what we need? Traps and decoys. You set up a decoy, like a scarecrow that looks like it's fishing, then lie in wait for some griefer to approach while you hide off to the side waiting to ambush him. If they make the decoys life like enough to pass muster until someone is up close, then a whole new world is opened up for online play. Traps would be fantastic too. You tie off your horse to a hitching post and then place a bear trap near him that gets triggered if a tool tries to stab the horse or rob the saddlebags. OOOOOOH, or dynamite (I'd use the old nag for that, boobytrap a horse that blows up). Giving players the tools to bait griefers is a much better solution than relying on a broken parley system or any other solution short of private lobbies. I'd rather be proactive than reactive, relying on horse insurance and being a victim before I can fight back is for yellow-bellies and cowards; give me the ability to be cunning and ruthless without being the same kind of jabroni that I would have to act like under the current model.

  24. It all depends on what you consider to be the wisest way to level. Personally I am not highly skilled PVP wise so I haven't done a lot of the series and that will nett you the most XP if you are "decent" at it. If you get a good posse going with several frequent members that do not fool around all the time, but go from stranger mission to stranger mission and in between some hideouts you encounter, that wil be a nice way to level up. Just try to play efficiently xp wise as stated before. A kill is not a kill : - headshots give extra 5 xp - from horse extra 5 xp - special ammo extra 5 xp running up on enemies and tackling them then execute them gives another 10 xp. It can mount up to 25xp per kill and even more. Of course there are many other xp boosters around. Also remember to kill animals when travelling from point to point just to get another xp boost in the dead time... Personally I think hunting is the best way to a balanced level up. Specifically as the ability cards are very important assets and these cannot be acquired through gold, only ingame dollars and they cost 50, 350 and 500 USD per upgrade at I think over 20 cards. I have spent all my earned USD into the ability cards and used a fair amount of gold into getting a fast horse and the entire What I have done mainly basically from start of the beta is hunt at the swamp area above Saint Denis. Best weapons are the Varmint and a rifle of your choice (I got the rolling block with scope). When you start RDO up spawn in New Austin, go to a fast travel post and pay to travel to Saint Denis, ensuring that the area is as good as empty regarding online players. Depending on your personal needs you can adapt your hunting. I basically do a 24hour in game cycle of hunting where during the morning to noon session I shoot and skin birds netting 10 xp per kill (also the shooting 1k birds and 1k animals challenges are done). Alongside every alligator gets one in the head giving you 15 xp. pristine small ones skin and put on horse 10 usd) and lasso a 2nd and drag to butcher for another 10. During night shoot every toad and frog and look for boars, the occosianal buck and muskut rats. Perfect rat carcasses nett you 4usd and the pelt almost 2 bucks. In most runs I encounter 5 to 6 of those and regarding birds the spoonbill / pelican / crane and heron feathers stack up to 10 at about 1.5 usd each. in this cycle you can gather a few herbs as well and prep big game meat with thyme/oregano and mint in order to have golden cores and be ready for other gameplay later on. You can also sell most herbs to the doctor (herbpicking and sell herbs challenges as well in between). Stock up ammo/ clean guns get supplies and repeat. If bored you can do the earlier mentioned ladder in Saint Denis to gather xp (no money there though). The above is not the fastest way to level, but In a 24hour cycle in game (1hour or less of playtime) you can get half a level done and more importantly get around 100 to 150 USD. I have put all that into the ability cards and have all of them maxxed out in xp lvl 1 and 2 respectively 10k and 15k xp per card and around 7 of them levelled to the max. Now at a point that the playing field in terms of abilities in pvp either balance me out with better players and give me a small edge on lower levelled players. Also getting griefed is not happening that much anymore. TLDR : Hunting in Saint Denis (combine with ladder if USD not an issue), shoot everything and collect, and invest in abiltiy cards and level and upgrade asap to max xp collecting. At a certain point if comfortable go pvp.

  25. Last night on YouTube I saw a comment from a guy sick of being attacked by griefers ..... the first reply was "Awwww, who hurt you? It's just a game!!!!!' Now that is a griefer comment. There is it appears a certain level of deeply confused machismo attached to griefing, it is little boys wishing to be men . This why all the cat calling straight from the play ground... they think they are genuinely tough. They think this is how men act.... grown men do not act like that boys It reminds me something an acquaintance told me, he was an instructor for the new entry British Army Para Troopers "They haven't been let out for 3 months , they have just got their wings and are let out...... So they go down the local town and the local boys beat the crap out of them... These young para's mistake being fit the for the first time in their life, with being tough" Just because you have a digital gun in your hand does not mean you should inflict your presence onto someone else ... other people are NOT there to entertain you, infant. So be good little boys and keep to yourself or only attack people like yourself... you know, idiots

  30. If I had run in to you online, I'd have been dead. There is a skill level involved when some of the griefing solutions are mentioned. And I'm not that good a player. I'm so bad a player that along with accidentally punching my horse on occasion, once I tried to wave at a player and mistakenly pulled my pistol and shot at his feet. I immediately turned my back to him to try and show that I'm not hostile. This guy, whoever he was, was such a class act that even though he now had his gun drawn, he didn't shoot me. I finally figured got the wave figured out, but did it with my back to him. And I'm such a PvEer that I actually had the drop on someone coming all the way across a small river toward me but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Yeah, he popped me good.

  31. You are probably not the stellar marksman you thought you were. If you are tracking a 3-star deer, you will need to get a perfect headshot in order to preserve the pelt. If you are shooting it from too far away and not using the correct high velocity ammo for long distance shots, the bullet trajectory will result in an inaccurate hit. You can't skin decaying animals, so the poor pelt you are harvesting is a direct result of your poor shooting, not because the animal is decayed. There is nothing more to it.

  37. Exactly..... I have to wonder why some would even claim it's unfair to allow private / invite sessions. The only people it would be unfair to are those who are trolling as there would be fewer, vulnerable targets for them to take advantage of.

  38. The drop in visuals was totally unacceptable for me on the PRO, even with your settings. On XBO X though, I also had bad fps / stability issues that I was able to fix by calibrating my TV a specific way (I have an LG C8).
    1 point
  39. I own both a PRO and an XoneX and I prefer to play RDR2 on the PRO but it is just a personal preference. But make no mistakes about it, the XoneX no matter how great it is has been plagued by some issues in regards to the recent updates. So for picture quality go with the XoneX but if fps stability is your priority, go with the PRO 1080p with no ss or hdr. PC will exlipse them all of course and we all will have double or even tripple dipped when all versions have been released. I personally already own the game on the PRO and on the OneX and I will probably buy it on PC and even a possible remake for the next gen of consoles too. Hell, I even have a Nintendo Switch in my home as I just bought one for my kids. So many games and so little time.

  40. I do not understand what people who are not seeing problems with the blur of the game are doing here. If it seems that the answers to these people are ignorant, I think it is even more ignorant to go to the thread about something that does not exist for them only to troll, or try to become superior about another person. Usually those who do this are children or someone with some problem in real life. You do not have to be patient even for people who come into the thread just to tumultualize

  42. It looks bad now in all resolutions. The depth of field is much stronger now in singleplayer storymode. It is real unplayable in all resolutions on my 4k TV. This is a badass company. THe TAA is so strong now. The graphic is blurred on fullscreen. The picture is now blurry in motion and in stillness. Now it is totally unplayable. Only the motion blur is a little bit lesser. What can we do, that we become a better experience. I paid 70 Euro for this masterpeace of sh*t. Why no magazine see this big issues and write something about it. Ambient occlusion is lower now and the lighting looks total different to the release version. The quality is bad now. This is the poorest PS4 Pro optimized game that I ever played. This is really bad. I don´t know how it looks in multiplayer, but this is terrible. vaseline on my screen? Edit: With patch 1.05 it is playable and I really enjoy the game now, but technically the pro version is not really a pro version. Motion Blur is alittle bit lesser now.

  43. On this screenshot from youtube video comparing graphics on all consoles played on FHD display we can see that problem is probably not a checkerboard rendering technique implementation, but some kind of AA similar to FXAA which gives blur effect and is used on all consoles except XB1X, where they probably realised it is not needed because of its native 4k resolution.

  44. The main protagonist, Arthur Morgan starts out as an asshole. That can take some getting used to after the lovable rogue that John Marston was in the first RDR. Also the main plot was John Marston hunting down his old gang to find redemption. In RDR2 the gang is out robbing and killing for money. Because Dutch "HAS A PLAN!" The sand pit is bigger with more content. Better side stories and voice acting than the first game. This game is slow burning as the story unfolds. I loved the first game too. Yeah move on pilgrim. This game is not for you.
