  1. Arthur Morgan's Song While riding up near Valentine a rider robbed me blind He hid his mule behind a tree and stuck me in my side He took my horse and saddle and rode off to the East I shouted out to him “I'll Kill Ya like a Beast” I ran on into Valentine and come across a man That I'd helped out on the trail, put a tonic in his hands He said “go on in the gunsmiths and have a gun on me” Picked up a Springfield ~Rifle and set off to the East I saw a campfire lighting up the woods A single man was standing there in a canvas hood I recognised my steed, Schwifty was his name I gave out a whistle and out the rifle came The man took off his sack and was held in disbelief He recognised my eyes saw the anger in my teeth As I was runnin' gunnin' he turned around to flee I let off a shot got him there hit him in his knee I mounted good ol' Schwifty to catch up to him quick But that damn bastard pulled out another trick Right before my eyes Fire was all I see Threw a volatile bottle just in front of me He made it to his mule and shot off through the shrub I turned and rode around the flames looking for his blood I tracked him through the night rode through Twin Stack Pass Got just past Flatneck Station, there was blood all on the grass Judging by the scene, his mule had thrown him off I saw him in the distance running like a sloth Now it was time for me to have some fun I pulled out my lasso and I started to run “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run there's a bounty on your head” “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run or you'll get one in the head” He pulled out his revolver But his shooting was no good I covered closely by a rock And then he understood He couldn't win a gunfight he was shot and all beat up I ran to him lasso in hand hogtied the bastard up Whistled over Schwifty and stowed him on the back I said “Now listen here my boy, You're going on the tracks!” Took him to Bard's Crossing and laid him down right there He said “I'm sorry Mister” and I said “I don't care” I heard a train a' comin' Roaring round the bend I took off on ol' Schwifty and the bastard met his end! “Don't mess with Arthur Morgan Boy or you'll have a price to pay” “I'll take you down Lemoyne make you Alligator prey” “I ride with Van Der Linde, Retribution in my Hands” “Mess with me and you could die in Ambarino lands!” “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run there's a bounty on your head” “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run or you'll get one in the head”

  2. Hey all, New joiner to the forums....been gaming for many a year but been mainly focusing on offline between RDR games. Now getting back into a bit of online roaming and pvp on RDR2. Couple of things about me.... I never shoot other players (first)...but I may wave or nod! (Please don't get itchy on the trigger if you see me approach to say 'Howdy') I am occasionally useless on a horse so apologies in advance for the many times I may crash into you on co-op missions should we undertake one...it's obviously the fault of the horse! I'm not a glory hound or showboater....I'm a steady gun so if you want a Doc Holiday to your Wyatt Earp, a Doc Scurlock to your Billy the Kid, a Tucker to your Dale, a Garth to your Wayne.....then I'm your man! Always happy to Posse up and do some Co-Op or stranger missions. I'm probably on the more senior side of gamers (first machine was an Atari 2600) so I tend to enjoy my gaming with a nice glass of oak aged red in the evening or a nice home brewed coffee in the AM. Unfortunately this style of gaming plays havoc with the ol 'bladder so if you see my (much younger looking) character standing about looking confused....it's probably because I'm off draining the dragon.....so don't shoot me! I never cheat, use bad language or rage quit....frankly because I don't know how to cheat, I have a 5 month old baby (my own by the way just in case you lot suddenly think...'Child Snatcher') generally sitting on my lap, and I don't know how to switch off my PS4 in a snappy spontaneous manner! I actually remember watching classic westerns when they first came out.....and I play like it so you may see me sitting on my horse looking whimsically over the valley just like John Wayne in Chisum.....you may also hear the dulcet tones of Willie Nelson coming over your headset when I approach (nothing like a bit of mood music) As points 1-6 have hopefully demonstrated, I don't take too much seriously in life...especially gaming so I'm looking forward to spending some time chatting and playing online with you all. Oh and I'm Scottish.....not exactly traditional cowboy material.....but I do wear the boots! Cheers SpeedyBeagle (named after my old dog who in true western fashion is long gone)

  3. Hey all, been on RDR2 online for a couple weeks now. Decided to join the forums here after reading what you all posted, seems like you all are pretty chill fellers. As for me, I’m looking to meet some new folks on RDR2 and possibly posse up with some like-minded individuals to run missions or hunt with. My gamertag’s ATOQB on Xbox Live, maybe I’ll see ya around.

  4. I just read the forum rules and it said an introduction is "expected" D'Oh! I am retired on the Mississippi coast, a fogey, a gamer since black and white Pong lined people up in bars to spend their quarters. I like shooters and love RDR. On an Xbox One.

  5. So, it seems there's more griefing and glitching and lag than normal. Guess the kids have broken up from school

  8. To the anti ability card folks- I'm a fight club guy and that's what my load out is built for. It wouldn't do any good with a gun in my hand. I think they are great I'm a firm believer in diversity of player builds. If I'm smart enough to come up with a legit way of making my character superior in certain situations, why shouldn't I be able to capitalize on that. I'm not doing anything that you can't do. It's just that you don't or can't figure it out

  9. That's the only time i've seen them also. I hunt in the swamps day and night and haven't seen them otherwise. and that hanging person is on the road into Lakay

  10. So what builds do people prefer? I can't really tell which cards are worth it.

  12. I got a posse invite and accepted. I rode to join the posse in the first thing that happened? I got roped and dragged. Maybe it was an initiation I don't know. So I initiated some music from my pump shotgun. 🤣

  13. So it goes. Hopefully, they'll all be on GTA with the snow, and leave us with RDO and our horse balls..

  14. Well the reasons someone would grief are 1000's : The main one will be : I get XP and enjoy pissing other people off and it is within the game's confounds. I get really sick of people defending griefing with this is the wild west and I am an outlaw. If people actually behaved like that back then the USA would have 1/4th the population it has nowadays and would most likely be without any cities... Outlaws didn't run around just shooting people, they were in it for the money or property.

  15. You definitely need to be using it, it does feel underwhelming compared to the single player's version of it, but there types of ability cards that augment your dead eye. For example one ability allows your friends to deal more damage while your dead eye is active, some allow you to absorb a headshot without dying - so, it is very useful but not in quite the same way as single player. I found that the 'paint it black' ability in online is good for long range fire fights where your lock doesnt reach your target, if you pop dead eye you can 'tag' your enemy and hit them from greater ranges - id say if you're not using dead eye, your missing out

  16. Schofield without a doubt. It is superior to the other revolvers especially when paired with a second for dual wielding.

  17. I fully agree with you. I have completed story mode twice and I am now completing all challenges and finding all little secrete on the map the the protagonist can scribble down in to his journal. I am very close to 100% and I can not find any secret online anymore that I have not already done or found. Still, I love the story mode so freaking much that I will play it a third time before even trying online again. Online is really not for me but I hole all that do like it, to have as much fun as possible while I stick to the story mode and the endless post epilogue as it give me much more enjoyment. A sincere greeting from Sweden and Japan as me and my wife plays together, I am a Swede and she is Japanese and I have had the influence on here so she now enjoys the old west stories 🙂

  18. Last night talking with another player and he asked if I beat the game yet. I said no, I am trying to do as much as I can in one experience. He then tells me that he beat it in under 48 hours. He then wants to brag about how he finished it before me. I personally don't care I am enjoying the game. So other then being rude. Why is it players feel a need to rush through the game? By the way, he did no side missions, hunting, fishing, or anything else that was not part of a mission.

  19. I thought as much, I've contacted Rockstar Support and as you can see, they are unable to assist me. That was a very painful lesson in making damn sure I manually save the game each time.

  22. I'm the opposite, i have more fun playing single player than online. I get too frustrated my old reflexes can't match the kids playing online 24/7 lol makes it less fun for me. Of course i'll have to check it all out when it goes online, gta5 was fun for a while.

  23. Having fun isn't the question? Just curious why players rush through a game?

  24. If you had actually looked closer. When you click on the horse you want to buy. It actually tells you the rank you have to be, to buy that horse. You made a mistake and it is RS fault? It says nothing about asking players if they want to buy any horse early. Stop lying! It says you want to use gold to buy this horse. That is assuming you are at the correct rank to purchase.
