  1. I know things. a) Damn, my horse has good brakes. b) Herta47 just might be a retired circus worker because of the way he flies through the air with the greatest of ease. Who else could somersault off of a horse, tumbling over the edge of a cliff and grab the edge of the cliff with his fingertips!??? πŸ‘πŸ˜²πŸ‘πŸ˜²πŸ‘πŸ˜²πŸ‘πŸ˜²πŸ‘πŸ˜²πŸ‘

  2. Even if hair growth in Red Dead Online isn't possible Rockstar could at least give us the ability to layer facial hairstyles on top of eachother, sideburns with a goatee, a moustache with stubble etc.

  4. For me, it's all about the co-op. .....playing with friends and experiencing the game together. There are story missions, side missions and all the various activities you can do.

  5. Black powder i think would be more fun, there's nothing like shooting at a target and waiting for the cloud of smoke to clear to see where you hit. Not to mention the smell Bottle that up and sell it lol. I've always wanted a black powder and a burnt gunpowder cologne. Plus the slower shooting would weed out the GTA style players You could do button combos to reload, upgrades to reload faster with pre-measured powder pouch and such. Put native americans in to play, maybe even an option to play a warrior as they were pretty fired up still after the Trail of Tears fiasco.

  6. Hi Friends, I am half way through Chapter 4 and only just discovered how to Take Cover. A lot of the time, especially in major battles, I am totally confused and quickly killed. I am wondering whether I am too old at 75. Any other senior citizens enjoying RDR2 as much as I am? Sapper.

  8. No. It's not a feature at least at this point. However, in the campaign if you stop to pet dogs they will be friendlier toward you the next time you come in to town from what I recall.

  9. Thanks for posting this Moosh. I'll add it to the stickied list of news and updates. I shortened the title a bit (hope you don't mind).

  10. never said it was, there's a lot of people that still don't know a lot of things and I'm just trying to let the masses know. just because you and a fe friends know doesn't mean everyone else does. I'm just trying to help those that don't know so they don't waste their time on you tube click baiters like "outlaw Gary". my bad for trying to help. to those that don't know and there are many, this is a new revelation. you think im expecting some reward or trophy, you're too funny, cheers to your 150.

  11. White Russians are delightful concoction of Vodka, Kahlua and cream. (For a more healthy version I use 2% milk to replace the cream.) They were made popular by the American film icon, Jeffery Lebowski, in the classic film, The Big Lebowski. In real life, they help boost my stamina core and refill my dead eye bar. Yep. Back in the day we were relegated to a 15" monitor, a steel folding chair and stuck in the corner of a cold basement. Two hours of that meant numb ass cheeks and a trip upstairs to take a 10 minute whiz. You either took a break or faced some nasty consequences.

  12. The fact that this video does not frustrate you and you say " Its part of red dead" , makes me wonder if you are one of these players. In other news. Tell me why after the defensive mode patch people stopped killing mindlessly each other. Cause of the blips? yeah right.. and again you post a video of a subzero player as a proof for defensive mode being trash. Know that i searched this player and is a guy with many problems. He shoots people, calling them t*ats and why they can't take a joke and when someone kills him he screams in the video. Also i searched his twitter and he's a antifeminist, misogynist. and you are coming here posting his video for proof. Well that's all from me and i will never discuss anything with you again. have fun with the game.

  13. Its not about him, its just a video showing how pointless defensive mode is. And I don't consider killing people in red dead so personal. Its part of red dead. Actually its yes. That video proves defensive mode does nothing. So why are you claiming defensive mode has anything to do with you seeing less players like that? Seeing less players in more of a result of blip changes not defensive mode.

  14. Now that's a whole lotta good looking hats!!! @WhiskeySour Thanks @Herta47 !!! I'm glad you enjoyed me less professional brand of posse leadership! XD I already saw your majestic dive off the cliff, Herta. Very good form I must say. πŸ‘Œ

  16. This is no bug, he did it on purpose! - Haha On a more serious note, they did the same exact thing with Grand Theft Auto Online. Every time you are driving super fast in a car, the NPC purposely get in your way, I'm not sure why R* always does this to us!

  17. JUNK IN THE TRUNK: umm, one could select first person or 2nd and avoid fixating on the bouncing balls and.or purchase a long tail. I'm empathetic that the swinging orbs hypnotized and detoured you from the solution. YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I have just made the same mistake twice, my second character purchasing an MFT (but don't tell @N7Creed). There's nothing on YouTube or anywhere more helpful out there than the spreadsheet at rankedboost dot com that ranks every horse for health, stamina, speed and acceleration. You can pick your own trade-offs. I had forgotten the MFT--for my tastes--is more gun shy and skittish near predators. The 'correct' war horse equipped with superior stirrups and saddle may well become my new addition proving very costly for the 24 karat gold braincramp, filed under "WTF was I thinking."

  19. 80's female performers... that's my jam. Pat Benatar, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Knicks... countless others. AC/DC will always be my "go-to", and I have quite the affinity for those power bands from the 70's and 80's (evertything from Queen to Motley Crue and GnR), bit hose 80's chicks could wail with the best of them. God, the lineup you could make with the guys who were gone too soon... Randy Rhoades, Cliff Burton, Bonham, Bon Scott...

  22. I think this game is directly pointed at us seniors. I certainly didn't trade in my controller to get my medicare card and I am pretty sure Rockstar understands we are still a viable market and they will do what they can to keep us around. Boomers are still 25% of the population and have the disposable income. I have been gaming since Pong and I am not going to suddenly change my lifestyle because of a calendar glitch. Besides toddlers, who has more recreational time to burn than us? Red Dead westerns hits us right in our youthful sweetspot. Movies, radio and television were dominated by westerns, war themes and gangsters. Our parents handed us plastic cap guns and chased us outside to create our own 1st person shooters with our friends. Who didnt want to be the Lone Ranger or Cisco Kid? I have some of the same problems as you, Pebbledash, My memory is fine but my recall is terrible. I keep a cheat sheet near for most controller moves. I am quite capable of forgetting how to mount my horse if I havent played in a week. I've punched him more than I care to admit and he always forgives me. I was a factory rat or a mechanic for 50 years and my hands are full of arthritis and bone spurs. I get by, but its good to see that manufactures are producing controllers for people with disabilities. The game is also quite good at letting you play at your own pace. I would avoid going to camp for days just so I could avoid missions. I spent a lot of time exploring the map and avoiding confrontations until I had pretty good grasp of how the game played. I would deadeye chipmunks and rabbits just for practice. This game also has some pretty reasonable enemies. No 50 foot tall acid spitting monsters that take an hour to kill. The game is interesting enough so that I never felt a need to rush thru it. As far as being to old to play games? I was 40 when I started and people would ask,"Arent you a bit to old to be playing a kids video game?" I always considered it as my hobby and just as reasonable as collecting stamps. Enjoy the rest of your game!

  23. Yeah, I’d say immediately post war, around 1865 to around 1880. Different weapons, less law, less government interference, more gunsmoke (Black powder)... and less β€˜Wild Bunch’ feeling

  24. That time period would be great!

  25. RDR3 could take everything the game mechanics and graphics have to offer now and progress with a wagon train headed west. Become a rancher, farmer, gold miner, lawman, fur trader, outlaw, or any combination.

  26. Cowboy action shooting. KC's Corral annual club championship entitled Thunder in the Brush, which was just last month. About 50 people total, 3 posses over a 2 day period. Top picture is my posse and that is me shooting pistols gunfighter category. The Lady in the purple shirt is picking up my rifle casings and shotgun hulls. She was Virginia State Lady's Champion couple years ago, very fast shooter (I can't beat her). She also tutored me in black powder reloading. Her alias is Sassy Shooting Sours, guess where I got my characters last name from. That is her husband behind me holding the timer in his hand. Have got the SASS Virginia State Black Powder Shootout coming up in a couple of weeks. Will try to get more pictures. Most everyone will have the best cowpoke looking outfit they have on.

  27. Don't know why you keep acting like this is some new revelation that only you thought of. Players have been doing this since online first came out. I myself have gone into St. Denis killed an NPC, climbed up a nearby ladder to the rooftops and picked off the lawmen as they funneled up the ladder to get to me. I did this a few times when I was low level when needed to gain a quick level or two to unlock something I wanted, but I didn't do it often. Didn't want to. For the most part, I worked for my xp and I'm almost level 150 now. There's many players who don't want to speed level. They just want to sit back and enjoy the ride.

  28. Many thanks for the responses to my query about the age of players. I have only played Resident Evil 4 and 5 before, starting after age 70. The difference between those games and RDR2 is the moral element of the latter - it is definitely different killing zombies or multi-headed monsters. I am so emersed in RDR2 that all my emotions are engaged - guilt, shame, (collecting debts from the likes of the Downes family) embarrassment (at my incompetence) and joy and wonder at the wilderness and wildlife. I am an atheist but it seems to me that the AI acts as a kind of Creator with an ethical agenda non-existent in the non-gaming world. The minor key music that swells up after particularly emotional moments swallows me up at times. And always after I have committed some atrocity accidentally - punching my beloved horse, shooting a woman I meant to help home, arresting a man who pleaded for forgiveness and redemption because I didn't know what else to do to progress, and because the function of some buttons mysteriously changes. There are many lessons for life in this 'game' that is not a game at all but a very real part of my life and search for my own redemption.

  30. I find I usually need to mute general chat to avoid: the mouth breathers; the idiots playing their bad music; and the people having a dull conversation with someone else in the background. I do regret that this means that I am probably missing out on people who actually want to interact as part of the game.

  31. it could be done in a way that is all in good fun... but yeah. People these days will always find ways to turn it into a big racist conspiracy because everyone takes everything too seriously and has to find a way to find he worst in everything.

  32. Yeah, I had like 50 gold bars yesterday and blew it all last night because I wanted my guns black. I knew it was going to be expensive, but it had to be done. I'm just kind of angry that it costs so much in gold for the metals. I mean, it's nice to change the gun, but we are talking straight up gold bars for these little parts which is ridiculous.

  33. This is another one of those components of the game you may not hear but might actually have a bearing on game play. I really wish R* was more open about these things. I like discovering some neat animations or features, but with others it would really help in my decisions and how I play.
