You hit V to cycle between like 4 views. 1st person, 3rd person, 3rd person further away, 3rd person furthest away.

.....and thats pretty much what it boils down to. I'm sorry but it sounds like some want the ability to reap the benefits of these missions without the risk. Long distance deliveries are meant to be more challenging by introducing rival players but they also encourage people to play as a team. Posse up if you want to even the odds. .....or use the option R* provided to soloists looking to avoid conflict and do local deliveries.

No penalty for target for jumping. But you'll spend more than 5 minutes loading in and (maybe) setting up a camp again. I just ride the RR tracks when targeted. Never been caught, and in 5 minutes I get their reward. Although now i hardly ever see it, when I do it's a level 12 or something. Seeing people doing stranger missions is rare since the roles update. I.M.E.

Yeah there are a lot of issues with the camps right now. I think Rockstar knows it is an issue and they are working on fixing it but it can't hurt contacting them about it and letting them know your issue.

This is down to the fact that they stopped running updates and just don't care to fix anything. Players find ways to exploit the game and cheat. I think this will happen with any popular game that stays active on servers.

No. It's not like GTAO where you lose the cash that's on you, etc. You retain those items you have on you although you could potentially lose other things, or have your horse killed so you have to recall it, etc. Other players are not able to loot your body. You will respawn away from the immediate area when killed.

If it is like it was on console, you should be able to just leave online and go back. See if you see new players and if you do, you will know you are on a different server. I don't think there is a way you can manually choose them.

You don't use dead eye looking for herbs. You use Eagle Eye or simply look for them without it. With Eagle Eye, they will appear in fields with columns of highlight firefly's if sort rising above them. ....sorry, don't know the functions on PC. EDIT: looks like @The_Liquor beatme to it.

...though i think it will be one of the future roles. Horse breeder, trader, whisperer etc.

Yeah and I don't blame you. Having had contact Rockstar in the past over some issues, it can turn into a migraine real fast.

Tabs are screwed up. They no longer open on the default like old times. Having a hard time pulling up a rifle and metal detector out of the wheel. Bullets don't seem to hit their mark even with perfectly clean guns. I got booted twice. All in all it was a good update....

The one in the picture is the few spot appaloosa and did not exist in the game before now. Below is a buttermilk buckskin. Buckskin is a colour and can occur in many different breeds where as an Appaloosa is a breed in itself and few spot is just a variation of coat pattern within that breed. Probably way more information than anybody really wants LOL .. but spent a good part of my life around and raising horses. I think Rockstar has done an amazing job with all of the horses in the game.
