I'm lvl 237. Nowadays mostly running collectables/hunting as single player. Bit boring, but I still love the landscape. Incidently joining a Persistent Posse, but it's very difficult to find one with more experienced players with not just killers in the team the time your on.3 points

Yeah.....animals......god f*****damn. I really really dont understand how such a big company cant fix the god damn spawn issues. Its been weeks now with no change to this. I like the swamps. I have my camp in Bayou Nwa all the time (if i can set it up xD) and my moonshine shack as well (its the most natural location for moonshiners) so i run around them a lot. It pains me when i literally cruise all the swamps and find 0, ZERO, null, nada aligators.... Not a single one - even submerged in the water. This really sux - its not only about the hunter role but the feeling of the world. Its empty, dead, it lost it's magic. Sure you can pop a legendary bounty and fill the wagon up fast to keep crips producing but as i said it is painfull to see that desert in free roam. So i had a lot of free time during the christmas/new year period so played a lot and decided to go back to Story Mode to continue to finish "Best in the West" acheivement. I was positively shocked. The story mode world is so much more alive compared to Online in its current state. There are animals everywhere ! And they dont just w8 for you to shoot them - they live, hunt eachother, fight etc. It gives the game sooo much climate !! Birds hunting fish in lakes and rivers, bears fishing for salmon, cougars hunting, deer fights and more. The dynamic events are so much better and there is soo much of them ! NPC's in towns dont just walk like zombies -they argue with eachother, fight, work. The towns seem like so much more alive. You can stick up shops and steal money from train passangers... We all (well at least most of us) played story mode and remember more or less how alive the world was. Why oh why this isnt the case in online mode as well? I really dont understand. When i finished my session in story mode i poped back to online and immediately i felt that the world is dead. No animal interactions... hell no animals at all only some birds. NPC only say hello or get the hell out of my way, no way to rob trains ........ What went wrong here R*?? Its not that You have to develop new things... just implement them from story mode...3 points

I appear to be in the minority but I really appreciated the 30% off a new Norfolk Roadster. Had scrimped to buy one, was going to last night, then the discount dropped so I effectively got a free saddle to go with her. So I'm a happy customer. Also had some fun PvP stuff around Valentine, a bunch of new players having a shootout which went on a while, was great. The game was also stable for me last night (perhaps because I didn't do any moonshining?), but either way I'm loving my new horse and feeling positive about the game. I'd love it to be all free aim, too, but we won't get that and as it stands it's still my favourite game in 30-something years of gaming.3 points

I agree. I think they made it too easy to level up in roles because even as a very casual RDO player, I still find it's easy to gain a lot of ground in this regard during a session. Now, if content releases were more frequent, then I might see the progression as being more appropriate but as it is, folks are simply completing these roles and are left with a lul between releases. The pacing should be adjusted in either case IMO.2 points

Lag + Auto aim Auto aim should not exist.. Especially in pvp. But R* thinks auto aim is 'cool'. So everyones stuck with it. Lag is also another issue. You may have the best internet speed possible. The other guy might be on some shitty WIFI. What you described about instant head shots while not aiming at you is lag. Also.. shooting from cover allows for instant tight aim. So factor in all those things. And you get your answer.2 points

I feel you @James Hickok_1837 nothing will match that story mode ever !! We can dream they make online even close to that feeling. We are in it for the long haul and have exercised extreme patients. If they fix camp spawns and triple the animal spawns this game will be second to none. All we can do is make our own fun untill they fix these shine bugs and critter spawns. We aren't going anywhere and will be here to see rdr2o rise to glory ! 😀2 points

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I hope somebody can help. For quite a while it has become almost impossible to win a PvP or Takeover or Shootout on PS4. I am rank 141 and my sets of cards are on level 3, yet all sorts of players kill me instantly with just one shot. No matter full health, strong tonics and the necessary cards, it is most of the time just one shot. Not even always a headshot but simple bodyshots with an Evans or Varmint, Bolt Action or any other general weapon. Even players with a rank 2 or 10 or 27 kill me as if I was a beginner. In brawls when somebody pulls me to the ground I can't defend myself and I am killed by low ranks (recently it was a rank 5 player wrestling me to the ground and killing me). Then there are the headshots. Obviously, everybody can do headshots now, even the rank 1 players. But it's not just a headshot but they jump from behind a corner and give you an instant kill/headshot while not even aiming at you. It all happens within a millisecond, so fast that it's impossible to even blink. Who in the world can react so fast, lift the weapon, aim and shoot while coming around the corner? On the other hand, I can shoot whatever I want, it's almost impossible to kill an opponent. Bolt Action or two pistols (Navy and Volcanic), Pump guns, even explosive ammo, it doesn't matter. Yesterday I unloaded two full magazins of my pistols plus 6 shots from Double-Barreled-Shotgun and the player had lost only half of her health. What in the world...? I am not shooting cotton swabs, so how can others kill so easily and I have to shoot all I have? My internet connection is perfect. Fast and steady, so it can't be lag. I am really fed up with this. Most of the time I can be happy when I get 3 kills in a PvP. Has anyone any idea?1 point

It shouldn't take me 6 months to top the role out but at the same time I shouldn't be able to top it out with a power push over a grindy couple days over the weekend either.1 point

Well, speaking as a very casual player of RDO, I even find the pacing too quick in that regard too.1 point

Yes i agree and i stated this before also its a shame the progressing in the roles is soo easy and fast. I mean we dont want a Korean grind here but the roles could be streched and the prices for rewards/horses/upgrades should be a lot expensive to buy. It would give incentive to play and level and at the same time would be more rewarding for your time/effort. I guess they aim casual but still hope to have fun playing in this fun western world.1 point

@MKay tank builds bro ! I run in to this all the time. Dynamite always works though ! 😀 they said they put a lid on tonic use and leveled all cards but the tank builds still exists. Slow and steady , iron lung , peak condition and a fourth card I won't mention as I don't condone this type of game play. It's all to real and all R* did was put a small cooldown on tonic use. If you couple that card setup with chugging 3 star tonics only dynamite will kill em first try. Also I know a lot of low life cheaters are using aim bot for those head shots. Look it up bro it's real. They will get banned in due time.1 point

I think the owl signifies how much hot air kean is catching about these issues that he can do nothing about. 😀 just guessing here !1 point

.......btw, if no one else responds with a potential solution or answer as to why you are not receiving XP for these actions, my suggestion would be to submit a trouble ticket with R* Support: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.45966445.858930266.1578507210-1990348937.1578507210 ....and please, turn off the caps lock.1 point

R* is the biggest game dev on the damn planet, raking in billions. Are they paying a few drunk monkeys to fix the games issues? How long do people have to wait? Most of the game issues are solved in solo lobbies. Hence private lobbies would do perfectly till they fix the issues. There's smaller game devs out there that put out more update and fixes to their games than R* does. And my point about clothing is. Clothing is the least important thing about Red Dead.1 point

I think the levels are too easy to obtain. Now with the Outlaw Pass they are even easier. Also the Role levels are a joke. Grind for a day and your done.1 point

Ugh i hate statues but seriously it would be nice to get something for levels 300,400,500 etc. How about you friend ? How are the levels going?1 point

Buy the Nacogdoches saddle (with hooded stirrups). You get 3 extra bars on speed/accelaration🐎 Yours horse flies😂1 point

Even if this is their way of throwing new stuff at us instead of fixing the game, isn't that better than doing nothing at all? I know it is just some outfits and what not but they can just as easily not give us anything new while trying to fix bugs and issues and I think most people would agree, it would be a lot worse.1 point

You should have seen Valentine 12 months ago... lol1 point

Just to be fair, it's not the gaming community so much as it is a few bad apples that can spoil the experience for most.1 point

I think it is pretty shitty that we have to worry about playing online games because of people like this. I shouldn't have to mute other players to avoid them. I shouldn't have to worry about a girlfriend or spouse playing the game with me. This kind of stuff makes me sick and honestly disappoints me when it comes to the gaming community as a whole.1 point

Just to add to this: you'd have to get to Trader level 4 first to be invited to the Trade Route events though, but yes, that'd be a way to play it. And the Trade Route events are quite fun.1 point

Funny that I predicted in the other topic, that instead of fixing issues and improving anything. They would just add more clothing and a new pvp mode. The ****ING ANIMALS!!!! WTF This is getting tiresome. Whats the point of these damn 'Free Aim' pvp modes, treating them like special pvp modes. There needs to be a FLAT OUT FREE AIM mode for everything, especially FREE ROAM. And if R* wants players to even remotely care about pvp modes, they need HOSTED lobbies with options.. with private lobby options. PVP in RD O could be extremely popular, if they stopped treating it like they do. And the role playing players need private lobbies. And at this point, theres enough clothing in this game to last for years. *Hudawg still beating the dead horse? Nope, im still waiting for the horse to wake up..:D1 point

Random pelts do appear on your horse's randomly. I have a horse I have never put a pelt on, and it routinely has a pelt show up. It's not in inventory, and can't get rid of it. It will go away soon. Just one of those things.1 point

Sorry to hear this partner ! You definitely don't want to be in open proximity chat on most online games. Children will be children , I highly recommend getting in a posse that loves these interactions. There are many posses on this sight with morals. You'll need support against some of the villain posses running in this game. Don't back down and get y'all some Honorable gunslingers that live for these fights. Hope your Mrs doesn't quit the game over this as it's not the norm. Anyway I hope things level out for y'all and give em hell !1 point

The pause screen has a 100% completion checklist - it would really help to know what section of that checklist isn't showing as completed.1 point

I was trying to make my character resemble the photo in my avatar... I ended up looking more like Doc Brown from Back to the Future... I just don’t have the artistic flair/patience to work those sliders like that myself.1 point

I want to start off by saying how wrong they were for doing this to both of you. These are the kinds of players who do not deserve the option to play online games. I think it is important that you have all their usernames on hand and report them directly to Rockstar and go into detail with everything that has happened. I would also look into reporting them on a higher level and going through whatever you were playing on be it PC, PS, or XB.1 point

I wonder why that is. Do think it is simply the fact the cell phones are so popular these's day's?1 point

Yeah I only play Red Dead Online on the weekends currently. I already own the Double Barrel Shotgun.1 point

I don’t know about that... Where I come from people with free time and extra money specifically spend most of the winter in the desert just to get away from the snow....1 point
