Dots. Blue ( blueberry) low hostility player, pink: medium hostility player, Red: high hostility player( can be seen a lot farther away on map). Cross is a posse leader. Translucent: player in defensive mode. Gold: complete daily challenges, the more you get done the higher your gold bonus is. Other than that, yeah, just grind it out. When doing stranger missions, wait till last 30 seconds in the safe zone before turning in for max gold. When you buy a hunting wagon your pelts are safe in the event of disconnects. Disconnects are kind of a way of life with this game. Defensive mode can help with your "random player kills" question. 80% damage reduction, people can't auto aim you, nor you them. Just make sure they cause damage to you first and turn red, then, you can auto aim and they can't. There is no guaranteed way of reliably having a private server, except when you start a legendary bounty. You will have no camp, but can go hunting. Lots of tips and tricks, but nothing really 100% Horse: yeah, seems bugged. Shouldn't do that. No, nothing wrong you can do to cause a half health drop every time you mount up.2 points

Howdy thanks for the reply, I am 17 turning 18 next year. I usually get on rdr around evenings, I'm not really a morning person but apart from that I could get online mostly at anytime and play for like 5hrs or so π. Hopefully the age isnt a problem I'll check out the page!1 point

I was level 25 when I bought it and I automatically got all the awards prior to that level. So in your case you would be spending 40 gold and getting it all back at the same time as access to all the awards.1 point

Time to put this game on the shelfes for now.. I cant cope with a game so broken as it is.. It was actually pretty fun before the moonshiner update, but now.. its borring, and unplayable.. because of massive bugs, no life, and what not.. Will be looking in again in some months, and see if its fun again!1 point

Yeah, the carcasses themselves aren't useful for anything except selling. I even took one to Pearson's wagon once to see if it had any particular effect on his stew, but it didn't.1 point

This is the funny thing about today's society. Favoritism is what saves you from past mistakes. We have all made mistakes in the past be it as individuals, groups, or companies. We also have to consider how different it is today compared to when these "mistakes" were made. So many things way back when were normal and everyday things that were acceptable at large and most of this stuff would not be acceptable today.1 point

You are not required to spend any of the gold gifted through the outlaw pass. You have full control over where you spend your gold. Edit: Forgot to mention, the gold doesn't automatically show up in your account. You have to claim the voucher on the rewards screen. Your outlaw pass rank is completely independent of your character rank. So , as you're progressing through your outlaw pass rank, it doesn't affect leveling of your character rank.1 point

Or at least be able to take the dog out hunting within a certain distance of the camp - using the whistle you could send it out to retrieve birds you shoot down or hunt small animals. Obviously it would require a level of training to bring back 3 star varmint1 point

Nice! Grief the cheaters by making them all get stuck on the Island. No way off. I like the way you think.1 point
-
Then let the cheaters get on the island..............Just dont give them the boat to get back.π1 point

Give the highest earning players, in terms of money, a boat pass to Guarma. Make free aim mandatory and get rid of any the assist cards that are in the game. If you die, you get kicked off the island. Form cartels or go it alone. Allow bribes, private bounties or anything else that goes on in a banana republic. Let's see who the biggest badass in the kingdom really is.1 point

Yeah that is what I was thinking. I mean a lot of people, I would estimate most people in the US, have grown up on Disney films or even TV shows. You know how people get about things they grew up with and general nostalgia.1 point

......and that's the only reason I can look past the over simplified gunplay / combat mechanics in R* games.1 point

I played WoW for a few years. I did a lot of "grinding" on there to level up characters. Do you know what happened? I leveled them up and got completely burned out on the game to the point where I never played it again. I have no desire to go back either. I play RDR2 online a lot different. I take my time, I do only things I enjoy, and if I get some extras along the way, cool. Nothing wrong with putting in the work to hit a high level but just basic grinding isn't for me anymore.1 point

It isn't anymore complicated than this. I play games for the enjoyment. I could really care less about levels and such as I would rather they should simply come naturally through the gameplay. Personally, I've never been one to "grind" a particular mission over and over again, etc. Even if it's not the most efficient way, I prefer to mix it up by doing different activities and such to gain cash or levels. That's exactly why I only reached around lvl 65 before I took a break. I began to find the game too monotonous for my taste. Not much more to unlock or buy (at least those items I wanted) and most of all, I' had already done all of the activities many times over. ....except most of the PvP events which I'm just not in to. I don't mind the grind but when it stops becoming fun, that's when I either call it quits or move on to other games for a while. This has absolutely nothing to do with wanting a way to shortcut the game because that also defeats the purpose IMO. It's the incentives for advancing in the game like this that helps keep me going but again, only so far if the content / gameplay begins to feel stale. "Grinding" in a game can feel rewarding and enjoyable or quite literally like a grind. .....it's when it begins to feel like the latter that I consider taking a break for a while.1 point

I too miss that. Now we are sadly in the Age of Nerf and Tears. This game isn't Dark Souls for crying out loud. If you put time in , you get everything in RDR. Problem is people don't manage their in game time properly it seems. I only had 2.5 hrs last night to game and went from 200 to 201 (11,100 xp).1 point

Us old school gamers know about grind. This game isn't that much of a grind but this is what you get when every kid gets a trophy! I wan't it now or I quit. Waaaa!1 point

Some people in this thread are the prime example of pay to win because they can't fathom putting in the work that everyone else has to get what they have. The main thing about MMOs is the grind. What's the point of just buying all the high end stuff. You're going to get bored faster, have nothing to work for and accomplish. It felt so good when I finally got to 58 to get my Foxtrotter. Then went on to the 80s to get fire rounds, then explosive rounds. Then all the special saddles. That satisfaction that I busted my ass to get to that point is what does it for me. I'm rank 178 now. I don't actively try to rank but I still get 1 per full day of play. (Takes about 9-10k exp for me to rank right now) Log in, make my money back upgrading cards. Play around with different set ups. I either hunt or do showdowns depending on how tired I am, with the occasional shenanigans with friends.1 point

I play because I enjoy it. Maybe too much. I set goals and try to make them. Let me see if I can get to lvl x by certain date, so much gold by x date etc. how many animals can I find to kill today. So much to explore can I see every inch of the map?1 point

I do like the fact that levelling up rank unlocks better equipment and facets of the game but thats not my primary purpose for putting time into a game. If you enjoy the game, play it. If not then don't. Simple.1 point

It's been said before, but... a chair. When I'm having a fight in Valentine saloon, I want to be able to hit someone with a chair. Is that too much to ask?0 points
