  1. Actually pretty close I think. With out knowing exactly how they got it programmed. I would think that server side is able to access it's data before the consoles do and are able to respond. Could just be the delay in communication between the different machines and how fast they process that data.
  2. Been a bit since I studied the cards, but I believe Slippery Bastard keeps players from locking on with Dead Eye, which makes me think that it wouldn't work. Paint it Black requires Dead Eye. I remember someone saying online once that Free Aim was the best option, but someone else suggested a different set of cards. I don't remember what that was, but I remember the players saying how the right set of cards made you almost invincible.
  3. I think what Homicidal is trying to say is, those who have found success have done so by using free aim. If you take some time and practice you may find you like free aim better then auto-aim. Some do, some don't. You asked how to deal. That is an option, it may work and it may not for you. If you give it a try you may be surprised a how good you can be. I'm not great at free aim on here, got became dependent on auto-aim from the story and need more practice. Now talking with some of the Born Clan, they are all Free Aim players, so if you need tips. I would pick their brains for advice.
  4. Only seen that once. Had a player shoot at me and he decided to run when I didn't die. So I chased him towards Tumbleweed, well big light show, then he was gone. I stopped trying to see which direction he went. Turned out him and his horse got hit. Horse went one way and he went the other. It killed his horse and he survived at least till I rode up and shot him. It was too bad I didn't actually see him fly though.
  5. It is currently part of the game design. I have had it happen to the point where I was loading in, dead, loading in, dead, loading in, dead. That one particular time players was just in the right place so that they could kill before I could react. I was never given a chance to parley, only choice was just to leave the game. I known others that have claimed to have the same issue, where they load in and be dead before they got a chance to fight back.
  6. Separate lobbies don't work if players are punished for using them. Rockstar's track record, they will punish them. Maybe Rockstar will change how they handle it, but if they want us in the same server. I just don't see them changing how they do things in the past, especially when they feel it worked.
  7. I hope they do listen, but have heard others state they have contacted Rockstar and basically get FU and out the door you go. I don't know wan't there, 2 sides to every coin. So I don't know the whole story. All I am saying is pass it on and hope for the best.
  8. What you got is them playing the numbers. If they feel that a percent of their player base unable to play the game is acceptable loss. They going on the they can't make everyone happy, why try. Most corporations have a acceptable loss rate. For arguments sake let's say that magic number is 10%, so if 90% + is happy then they have done well and no concerns. If it gets to be 11%, then they will put down their cup of coffee and hit the fix button, which takes time and resources. Sad to say you fall into the happy casualty category. Now if you really wanted it fixed and this is just my personal experience over the years. When you contact them about a complaint, make it sound as if you are benefiting from it. They will code red that crap and have a hot fix in minutes. They here complaints all day long, call up being happy and they have no clue how to deal with it. Their little how to suggestion handbook, it doesn't cover happy customer and you will send their heads a spinning. Just saying.
  9. Oh, great you ruined the surprise. You know how they enjoy the anything can happen. Now they know it's coming there is no surprise. Party pooper.
  10. If you got ideas that you think will improve the game. Contact Rockstar. Kean1 is constantly putting up their link. Cause on here you have those will just disagree for the sake to disagree. Regardless of what happens we will all adjust our playstyles and keep playing. The thing is this isn't a Rockstar controlled forum, even if it was we wouldn't know if they would listen or not anyway. The CMs would nod their heads, say that is a good suggestion, I will pass that up to the higher ups, and then hit the delete button. We would never know if anyone heard it or cared to hear it.
  11. I am adamant against griefing in PvEvP. I don't have issues with those who PvP. I don't think I ever said I was on a server of 31. Most players I have seen in one combat, was where a guy invited me and it was 14v2. Which is 16 players. The speculation of it nullifying griefers was a joke. Cause most of the old GTA folks will remember that every time they did something to fix griefing they would add something to make it actually easier. Edit: Though I got called in cause he felt like he was being griefed. When we started shooting back and we did. It was no longer griefing, we participated in PvP, even though the odds was stacked against us.
  12. Don't we already have trigger happy and paranoid players. What happened to anything can happen and it's a nice surprise when PvP happens. I personally think this is to balance out any actions taken to nullify greifing. Now those who grief have the element of surprise, knowing that they will have to pay for it later. It's just like a credit card. Do stupid things 1st and pay for it later. To me as much as I hate this, to me it could be better then the whole map knowing where I am. So I only have to deal with x amount of knuckleheads, not all of the knuckleheads.
  13. Why not get rid of it rather than "discourage" it if they find it wrong? Confusing. I bought into a game Rockstar touted as "a fun and fair environment for everyone" where I could "Explore the world solo or with friends" and I believe some others did too. To take a quote from Star Wars, "From a certain point of view." If you are a die hard PvP player, all that still holds true. If you are a die hard PvE player not so much. Yet that is where the balance has to come into play at and how they execute there plans. As some have stated in GTAO they did things to stop or prevent griefing, yet then turned around and allowed griefers to abuse it. If their plans are anything like what we have seen before. Then Rockstar is best to keep secrets hoping we stick around a bit and maybe spend some real money to try and keep up.
  14. It's only been 9 years since they started on this project. Don't rush them now. I know a big part of that time was just putting ideas to paper, but one would have thought they would have had more done then they did. Considering that they had to release the game a year later then planned.
  15. I know they have been speaking about coming up with a fix for griefing. I had not heard what exactly said fixes was going to be. It does concern me on the execution as well. Cause if they just do bounties, expecting players to step up and everyone still wants to be bad guys. They bounties could go unanswered or have players let their friends kill them to collect the bounty and then continue that trend to allow players abuse the system.
  16. That is exactly how I feel. Waiting for their actions, which seems to be slow process.
  17. Sounds very much like what I was hoping to see. Can't wait to see the execution of this.
  18. That is another reason why I am against separate lobbies. Having players taken out of PvEvP, limits PvP options. In many cases those who leave won't come back. I personally don't expect a personal uptopia. I would prefer balance. Not expecting all players to be happy, but want enough there for players to be happy enough to want to play. Instead of quitting or running. Just because I don't want griefing doesn't mean I don't want us to PvP. I never said players can't attack one another. Good for you, that you didn't let anyone keep you away and you are at a happy place in the game. Are you everyone? Others paid just as much for the game as you. Don't they deserve to play the game as well. If griefing is an issue for them and it has been noted by Rockstar, to the point that they have said they want to fix it. Does that mean you will quit playing or adapt and continue playing.
  19. Why is it so tough to stop griefing to you folks. It can be done and if the idea to stop it offends you. Then you must be griefing. I agree, fighting back is an option. What if it isn't. If a player has the right card set up that a level 10 player doesn't got the guns or the cards to be able to hurt him. It is a waste of time. So then you say if you can't win, run, change servers, or quit playing the game altogether. There are options that I feel unexplored cause players assume it can't be done or scared it can be. I just think it's stupid that instead of coming up with new and fresh ideas that everyone wants to assume it can't be done. If you are smart enough to come up with new ideas on how to grief. You are smart enough to find ways to stop it. Options, fighting back, running, quitting(down right stupid option), creating separate lobbies could work (if they don't punish the players for using them, which Rockstar has done in the past. For the sake of PvP not getting the bums hurt over PvE players having other options.) At this point I feel players are assuming I want to attack all PvP. My target is Griefing, it isn't just in PvP enviroments alone. It can be done in PvE modes as well. I do point out the worst case scenarios, because that is when the griefing is a bigger issue.
  20. See to me this attacks griefers and yet doesn't affect PvP at all. Yet you said you couldn't stop griefing. You have given PvE players options and given them reasons to continue playing. You didn't alienate them or try to push them from the game. It didn't require a separate lobby, so Rockstar has no reason to block content to the either side.
  21. Participate in the PvP only game modes? It isn't really magic perse, just programming.
  22. Technically, it isn't FFA if all you have in it is PvP. It would be battle royale. You would be playing a different type of Fortnite. PvE elements are only there to draw in PvE players in PvEvP game. For players who don't feel PvE players should be involved, then shouldn't require a PvE elements. Which leaves PvP only.
  23. I'm not hanging on and I not saying ignore it and it all goes away. I'm not asking for heavy handed solutions. I personally feel there can be a solution that could bring balance. Not going to say everyone will be happy, but it could make the game playable for all. I don't understand the mentality to say FU to the PvE players, just because my PvP isn't affected. I not into blaming them for their bad experiences by things I may be doing to cause them. Rockstar says they want to fix griefing, some players just can't handle a fix. They're scared their griefing will be ruined. It should and it shouldn't affect PvP. Pushing players away from the game is stupid on any PvP players part that supports pushing potential PvP players away. I think we need them to want to PvP not push them away. You are wrong. Plain and simple. If it was just FFA. There wouldn't be any PvE in the game. You wouldn't have need for fishing, hunting, NPC interactions. All you need is a great big PvP Battle Royale. They put PvE stuff into the game, therefore PvEvP exists. It makes to a 2 sided debate, not a closed minded one.
  24. Why exactly can't there be true balance? Why is it ok as is, as long as it is the PvE side that get shafted? I am not making the assumption that all PvP players are bad. I am not making the assumption that all PvP won't engage in actual PvP. I have witnessed personally, players that will go out of their way to attack players that are hunting or fishing solo to the point those players will quit. Why do you assume that is ok to run players out of the game? You act as if batting an eyelash and a few kind words and all players are going to be friends skipping through the tulips. Not every PvP player is a stand up person. Some players are just asses, whether PvP or PvE.
  25. As of right now, rumors are they will use similar plans as used with GTAO. They seem to feel that dealt the worst of the griefing. Yet then they added tools to improve griefing, so take it with a grain of salt.
