I've seen quite a few of these "mystery discovered" videos on YouTube and they've largely been little more than conjecture. It would be nice to see something concrete.

Is it worth it to buy the game right now during 2019-2020?
Foxtrot replied to AndrewChar98's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
There's few games that can match the value for money ratings of RDR2. There's nothing I've played or seen lately that approaches how much I've enjoyed RDR2. If you've enjoyed the videos, then you'll enjoy playing it much much more. Don't bother waiting for the new best thing. -
Interesting indeed. We'll probably never find out whether the mistake is intentional or not.

I don't beleive there are any unique craftable plants on the island.

Given that Rockstar are only making updates to the Online section of the game, it seems very unlikely that this behaviour will change (or indeed anything related to Story mode). You mention letting off steam, but didn't mention trains. You can easily take a train from Strawberry to St Denis, which is a form of fast travel. Personally, I prefer the ride....

Are you saying they're both on WiFi?

How is the PS4 connected to the router? By WiFi or by ethernet cable? Ethernet is recommended for a stable connection whereever possible.

Hmm. Not something that I recall reading about, but then again there's a few videos out there with "secrets". I still don't know what the deal is with that huge snake hanging out of the tree.

Is there a way to keep count of headshots?
Foxtrot replied to Samago's question in Questions & Answers
PS4 trophies (or Xbox acheivments), not trapper challenges. They're different things. The OP thought there might be an achievement, and I was pointing out that there isn't. Other people rightly thought it might be Sharpshooter 7, we never really got an answer. -
I don't think there's a way of doing this. You can track the progress of a few stranger missions in the 100% completion checklist, but not all stranger missions are required for full completion.
-
This isn't likely to happen, unfortunately. Rockstar is creating a lot of content for the Online environment as that's where the recurring revenue comes from. All you can really do in the main story part of the game is complete as many as the other quests as you can to get 100% game completion - this took me months and a couple of restarts to complete. If you've only completed the game once, I'd suggest starting over - you'll appreciate the game so much more on a second playthrough.

From what I read in the strategy guide, the higher quality saddles improve the horse's stamina. Your (Arthur/John) have different reasons for stamina drain. In both cases, food and rest helps.

Hunting Request Glitch (begging you to help)
Foxtrot replied to vsvp's question in Questions & Answers
Have you looked in your mission checklist to see whether the animal is mark as checked off? Sometimes you don't get the on-screen message for every animal you've collected. -
You should be able to complete chapter 2 after "A strange kindness", however, "An Americal Pastoral Scene" appears in Chapter 3 - the mission is, however, mandatory. There's YouTubes for this mission, but most of them concentrate on acheiving the gold medal. I'd recommend studying the IGN video that doesn't. The strategy guide has further hints here: Note the part that suggests that you gallop closer to make the job easier. Note that the video doesn't attempt headshots - the person making the video just uses the auto-aim feature to shoot the outriders. For the stagecoach drivers, you need to auto-aim and nudge the aiming thumbstick up a little to get the headshot you need to take them down. I'd shoot the outriders with auto-aim and the drivers with deadeye. For the last part, use the "Cover" button to hide behind a rock and the "Aim" trigger button to pop up and crack off shots as enemies come closer. If this doesn't help, let us know what part of the mission you're having problems with.

You don't see the ? appear (at least I don't recall it being anything more than a random encounter). All you do is get to near where the tailor is in Northwest St Denis and you should hear a lady asking for donations.

Interesting, I've never heard of this. I only ever caught fish to add them to the compendium.

(Need help) Donating and crafting with Pearson at camp in Lagras
Foxtrot replied to Tacitus's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Pearson doesn't have a stall at Lagras - you're right in saying the camp is just a temporary bolt-hole. I'm not sure what happened to your fish (may have rotted away), but I only donated the essentials to Pearson - mainly the ingredients for the satchels. Anything edible, I just cooked up for myself. -
red redemption mission American Pastorial scene
Foxtrot replied to JGrabek's question in Questions & Answers
You don't have to use deadeye to complete this, but it does help. Try not to stay in deadeye mode too long as you'll run out. Don't forget that you have health tonics to help you if you get shot up too many times (I pretty much always forgot to take health items). Toward the end of the mission when you're at the river, use the "Cover" button to hide behind a rock and then take your time to aim and shoot the enemies. It's a pretty intensive mission, but persevere with it as you'll need these combat skills in later missions and encounters. -
The hog-tie method should work. To get this one, I crafted a volatile dynamite stick and threw it into a bandit camp. There's a ton of YouTubes on the hunting challenges, they can be great for ideas.

Whats your honest opinion of the RDR games
Foxtrot replied to mickeyC's question in Questions & Answers
It's the richness of the free-roam environment. You can take time out from the main story missions and just explore, and the trapper missions encourages you to explore every aspect of what the world offers you. In a world that's full of CoD and Halo clones, RDR2 is a breath of fresh air. It's enjoying the wildness of the wilderness in a way that many of us can't. -
Dumb question here: Do you have the Special or Ultimate edition of the game? If not, this treasure map is not available. Please see https://www.rdr2.org/guides/le-tresor-des-morts-treasure-hunt-guide/

Best & fast ways to make quick bucks ? Help
Foxtrot replied to M0nsterSkillz's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Treasure hunts and looting abandoned houses. Story missons will also give you cash. There comes a point at which that gaining more cash becomes meaningless because you have all the weapons you want, you've upgraded the camp, and you have a horse. -
Plenty of horses and wildlife everywhere. Lots of horses in the Heartlands for example. Hunting depends on what you're hunting.

Not as far as I know, but a video of it happening would sure be fun.
