10/8/19 New Legendary Bounty, Bonuses and More
Vaderspupil replied to Kean_1's topic in Red Dead Online
Yeah, I took a headshot from a Rolling Block one time trying to bring in Cousin Owlhoot from Fort Mercer in a 5* last week because I was careless. At 5*, enemies become deadly accurate with their aim. -
I got griefed the other day by my ISP when my internet crashed during a fully loaded long distance delivery. $625 worth of goods flushed down the toilet. I was pissed! I didn't need the money or the xp, but Comcast couldn't pick a worse time to crap out on me!🤬

It's super easy to level up as a collector. Just keep your eyes and ears open while roaming around doing other activities. Spam eagle eye to look for gold sparkles eminating from collectibles off in the distance and listen for what sounds like a wind chime when you are close to a collectible. Sell any duplicate collectibles to Madam Nazar keeping 1 to go towards completing the set.

So I bought a map off a guy in the woods
Vaderspupil replied to Dissention's topic in Red Dead Online
Killing one NPC once in a awhile is going to have virtually no effect on your honor. It's only when you kill a bunch in a row that it really starts to drop your honor. You don't even really have to kill the guy. All you have to do is point your gun at him and he'll give it to you and run off. On the other hand $5 isn't much at all, so whatever floats your boat.😁 -

Why buy the map when you can shoot the guy and take it. LOL!😉 -
https://www.richardwestenra.com/rdr2-free-roam-event-schedule/ I don't know if is legit or not, but I found this site which is tracking the free roam event release schedule in real time.
-
Sorry, those don't count. You know those event invitations that pop up on your screen from time to time like "Lake Fishing Challenge" or "Fool's Gold" that you can accept or ignore? To get the poncho you have to accept and complete one of the role specific ones. The collector has the new condor egg hunt one and salvage, bounty hunter has "Day of Reckoning" and one other that I can't think of the name of right now and trader has one that I also can't think of the name of. You have to be at least level 4 in a role to receive the free roam event invitations related to it. Edit: the other bounty hunter event is called Manhunt and the trader event is called trade route

Is It Just Me, Or Is Lvling BH Just A Real Grind?
Vaderspupil replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
It was a grind until they fixed the bug causing you to sometimes not get money and xp for completing the bounty. Now it's pretty easy to level up quick doing $$ and $$$ bounties and legendary bounties. -
Just for playing. It's just a promotion to entice people to play. To get the poncho, you have to participate in a role based free roam event.

Does Bounty Hunting have the lowest avg payout
Vaderspupil replied to Paxterra's question in Questions & Answers
The Barbarella Alcazar one paid well and the Owl Hoot family pays extremely well. The payout for the Wolfman was crap. -
Treasure maps every 5 levels past level 100?
Vaderspupil replied to BeggarBarnaby's topic in Red Dead Online
I'm well over level 200 and still getting them. It's the only reason to still level up.😁 -
How does one switch Frontier Roles
Vaderspupil replied to Paxterra's question in Questions & Answers
You can take part in all three roles at the same time. To become a trader, all you have to do is go to the post office and pick up th he letter from Cripps. Then locate him on you map and go meet with him. It will cost you 15 gold to start it up unless you're a PS4 player. To become a collector you have to find and talk to Madam Nazar. She can be hard to find since she's in a different location every day. When you do find her, buy a collector's bag for 15 gold unless you play GTA online and collected those playing cards. I would also recommend buying a shovel from her asap so you can dig up the collectibles buried in the ground. It is $350 for the shovel. -
You can kill another player's Cripps if they have the white flag of their camp lowered. But like killing another player's horse, you're charged for his revival.
-
Yes, the first time you attempt it at 4 or 5*, it's a raging blizzard and viability is practically zero without using eagle eye. If you fail, the game with then make it a little easier on your next attempt by having the weather clear up.
-
It's a small step forward but at least this week's Legendary Bounty takes place during a blizzard.

Hold R1 on the PS4.

How do you get collectables out of a tree?
Vaderspupil replied to Dissention's question in Questions & Answers
Where do you get your hawk egg? That's the only one I'm missing. -
How do you get collectables out of a tree?
Vaderspupil replied to Dissention's question in Questions & Answers
To add to what @C20Dragon said, use ONLY the varmint rifle. Any other weapon will destroy the eggs. -
I was very disappointed with the hunting wagon. I was only able to haul 4 deer carcasses, a rabbit carcass and a goose carcass before it told me that the wagon was full.🙄
-
Yeah. At first I didn't know what was going on. I thought it was one of those new dynamic events where a random dog shows up and points you to a collectible. It wasn't until zi got the prompt that my camp was under attack that I realized it was my dog. I don't remember what happened on the way back to camp. I think he followed me. It wasn't that far.
-
NPCs have attempted to raid my camp once. I was hunting birds and gators along the coast north of St. Denis when my dog came running up to me to warn me of the raid at my camp near the Kamassa. I was able to get back over there and stop it in time. I think was using a medium wagon at the time.

Fronteir Pursuits Poll II (What's your favorite one?)
Vaderspupil replied to Senator Goob's topic in Red Dead Online
In the map she's invisible. She won't show up there until you come across her in your journeys. -
The best thing about it is not the materials you gain from it, but the xp. You get like 300+ xp from it. I'm now a level 13 trader, so it certainly helps getting you up there faster. The salvage one was confusing as hell to me. I did it once and I had now idea what I was supposed to be doing. I managed to stumble across one dig spot, to find one collectible. It might be easier now that I'm a higher level as a collector and can spot collectible locations a lit easier now.
-
I've participated in it a few times now. I've had no issues. I love this event because for once we're working together to fend off an onslaught of attackers rather than killing each other mindlessly.

Collector role, cant find the Gypsy lady Madam $#%&$
Vaderspupil replied to lumper's question in Questions & Answers
Yeah, for me she was up around O'Creigh's Run. I hope that trick works because she's missing from my map now.
