When I'm going up against hordes of NPCs, I like to go with slow and steady, unblinking eye, eye for an eye and cold blooded. For pvp situations, I tend to go more with slow and steady, horsemanship(if my horse is available, come back stronger if not), peak condition and winning streak.

Don't know why you keep acting like this is some new revelation that only you thought of. Players have been doing this since online first came out. I myself have gone into St. Denis killed an NPC, climbed up a nearby ladder to the rooftops and picked off the lawmen as they funneled up the ladder to get to me. I did this a few times when I was low level when needed to gain a quick level or two to unlock something I wanted, but I didn't do it often. Didn't want to. For the most part, I worked for my xp and I'm almost level 150 now. There's many players who don't want to speed level. They just want to sit back and enjoy the ride.

I wish I could delete posts. I asked a question about the update and then reread the update and answered my own question. Best I could do was edit and blank out my previous post.ð

Yup, silence is golden. I'm near level 150 and I've almost never used game chat. I think I've done alright for myself. If you need to communicate, there are ways of doing so non verbally, such as emotes. If you want someone to back off, you can fire a warning shot. Aim, press up on the d-pad and fire will fire a shot straight up into the air and give any players in the immediate vacinity a textual warning that you have fired a warning shot and you had best stay away.

Sorry but for this game, I stick to party chat only, even when I'm by myself. I refuse to subject myself to the diarrhea that comes out of some players mouths!
-
Sorry, was being a little tongue in cheek myself. Wasn't trying to be antagonistic.

I hear you. Not getting to choose your game is one of my biggest PVP gripes. Another is often getting separated and placed on a different team than your posse mates thanks to the game doing some last second auto team balancing right before the match starts. That and the showdowns are rife with idiots and cheaters and I can only stomach so much of that.

Yet, we get bitched at if we start a new thread for a topic that already exists.ð
-
Yeah, rather than start a new thread about player assassination missions, I did a search for this one. I knew it existed. Sorry if I confused anyone.
-
OK thanks. Like I said, it didn't bother me and it was actually kind of fun making a stand. It just surprised me because it happens so rarely.

I thought they had changed these missions to that only players with low honor or high hostility could be targeted for these missions? Yesterday I was targeted even though I had high honor/low hostility. I easily survived since I hunkered down in my camp at Gaptooth Ridge, surrounded by rocky terrain so I couldn't be flanked and I was able to pick him off over and over with my explosive rifle rounds as soon as he got within range and it was only the one player and not a posse. It just surprised the hell out of me when I was cooking away at my campfire and was suddenly pulled out of it and notified that I was targeted for assassination. After it was over, the douche continued to try to kill me but couldn't because my camp protection reactivated. LOL! I just stood there and used my wave emote in his face, then left via fast travel when I got bored.

Looks like you need to be taken to obedience school and taught how to heel!

Can we choose which story mission we do online?
Vaderspupil replied to Freebird4Life's topic in Red Dead Online
This. Plus I'll add that when you replay a story mission, there's a bit bit of a cooldown before you can replay another one. Usually doing one stranger mission in between is enough time for the story mission cooldown to end. -
pvp mode, gold payouts, and the bonus gold multiplier
Vaderspupil replied to lumper's topic in Red Dead Online
I was really disappointed to find out that this week's payout bonuses for completing the story missions, Kill them all, each and every one and Destroyed by grief are only for new players.ðĨ -
You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine. For the most part, I just don't have fun with the PVP showdown series games. They're more of a chore, especially when you get stuck on a crappy team of do nothings, where players care more about padding their kill count stats than helping the team. I do have some favorites like Most Wanted and Spoils of War, but don't get to play them that much when they are stuck in a rotation along with all the games I hate, like Make it Count and Hostile Territory that come up far too often. Two things need to happen in order for me to really start enjoying PVP, we need to be able to select what game we want to play and when choosing teams, the game needs to stop breaking up posses in auto balancing. I want to play with my posse members, not against them.

Male vs female horse? What is the difference
Vaderspupil replied to Dissention's question in Questions & Answers
I don't know. Seems to me females are calmer and less temperamental in the game than the males -
Meh! Just seems like another pvp game where slippery bastard is going to be over used.

Are you a cowboy, fancy dresser, or costume party disaster?
Vaderspupil replied to Major Dammidge's topic in Red Dead Online
I'm more of a fancy dresser. I was going for the buttoned up lawman look for my main outfit which consists of black tuxedo pants & shoes, a white French dress, black paisley vest, black roller jacket and a black cutter hat. For fun though, I do have a "Crocodile Dundee" outfit which I use for hunting gators in the swamp.ð -
They mentioned the concept of professions like bounty hunter coming in the summer update. I'm curious to see what they'll have entailed for that. Will players who choose to be a bounty hunter go after NPC targets or player ones?
-
If you are close to a stable, then you can run in there and get your horse back.
-
If this were the case, then I'd be a master of the Springfield rifle. I've racked up thousands of kills with it, both man and beast.

I have all 24 cards with 16 of them at tier 3ð Buying 2 leMat revolvers fully tricked out is definitely a money sink which I found yesterday. Had over $1200 before purchase and a little under $400 after.ðĪ

I managed to do it jumping down from the tall rock formation in the middle of Tall Trees. Funny thing though is I failed to land on my horse and landed right next to him. The game still counted it though.ðĪŠ

Stranger missions jacked again after Adler/Black Belle Update
Vaderspupil replied to TheSkipinator's question in Questions & Answers
When the stranger missions aren't working for me, I'll back out of the game and restart it. That usually fixes it. -
For A Game That Likes To Trickle Out Content As It Is...
Vaderspupil replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
Serves you right for choosing such a crappy game system! j/k ð
