Don't like any of the death match games. They are designed to appeal to the Fortnite crowd and I despise Fortnite.

I've had the same issue as well.

I seem to have had better luck with finding maps since the latest update. Not sure if it's a coincidence or if the update increased the drop rate.

At least you were able to get into a showdown. I tried to get in a few times with a friend to take care of those challenges and it kept getting hung up on the black loading screen with the rotating cylinder. Every time it did that I would have to close the application and start up the game again.

Yeah, I've rescued the same guy at the Saint Denis cemetery twice.

Or spend 3 gold at old man Jones to become dishonorable.

Update: It's a $5 buy in for a private game with 2 players with only a max pot of $2 per hand.

I'm pretty sure I only had a $5 buy in at Tumbleweed, but it was a private game with just one other player.

Some jerk stole a perfect elk pelt off the back of my horse and disappeared before I could switch to offensive mode and blast him. I was pissed, but in the end it didn't matter because I was immediately able to find a perfect deer to replace it.

I played poker last night with a posse member in Tumbleweed and it was only a $5 buy in. It's how much you have to play with. When it runs out you have buy in again. Max bet seemed to vary. Not sure what controlled it.

When the money isn't real though, you can afford to be a lot more aggressive.😀

Yeah, I hate that too. Sometimes I can successfully swim behind it and push it into shallower water, but more often than not it'll just sink on me in the deeper water.🤬

This is where R*'s system is currently flawed. Players showing up as red blips could have gotten that way by only killing NPCs and could be completely harmless to you. Meanwhile, players showing up as blue blips can just as easily ride up to you and blow your head off. They just haven't done it enough to other players yet for the game to consider them as hostile. The moral of the story is to keep your guard up regardless of the color of the other players blips.

L1+triangle(sorry don't know what the xbox equivalent is) brings up your ability card loadout.

In general I haven't had too much of an issue finding herons. It's usually one or two at a time and not large groups, but I do see them frequently. Spoonbills on the other hand, is a completely different story.

By being a selfish jackass and camping near the enemy's spawn location so you can easily pick them off as they spawn in. All those players care about is boosting their own personal kill count and not actively trying help their team complete game objectives.

I'm surprised they completely ignored cover scent lotion for online. If they're going to bother with bait, you'd think they'd have the cover scent lotion too.

Express bullets do more damage than high velocity. HV will increase your range a little bit.

Practice headshots. They are the key. You need to connect with a headshot on the majority of your shots to have a fighters chance. Utilize R3 often. Pressing R3 will angle the camera to look behind you. it makes it harder to sneak up on you because their blip will then show up on your mini map. Get those ability cards to tier 3. The 3 best deadeye ones(in no particular order) are slippery bastard, slow & steady and paint it black. For passive cards, damage boosting ones are great like winning streak and peak condition. Horsemanship is great for a free roam event involving horses like dispatch rider or horseback kills challenge. Healing cards like cold blooded, strange medicine and comeback stronger. If you are using a lot of deadeye, and eye for an eye and the unblinking eye are a must.

Unless you're excellent at free aiming through a scope, a carcano should only be used for hunting from a distance. It uses rifle ammo just like the bolt action or Springfield. Ditto for the Rolling Block.

Poison throwing knives are so useless. The poison is is like a snake bite to the player. They just chug a health cure and they're good as new.

I kept on going to level 100 and beyond because I wanted to have everything unlocked. I felt in my mind if I didn't do that, I'd fall behind everyone else. For me it's been about grinding for money to buy all the stuff I've now unlocked. I've bought all the best pamphlets, bought all the camp tent upgrades and camp fast travel, I currently have 14 ability cards to tier 3. I have all the weapons that I need, but there are weapons that I want. Finally at level 128, I'm just starting to slow myself down. I'm in a good place now.

I had an arrow whizz by my head the other day after I killed a cougar that I witnessed killing another player. I guess that player didn't want me to take "his" cougar, even though I succeeded and he failed. Whatever, I let him have it. I didn't need it anyway.
