  1. Unfortunately this happens often. Idk why our horses don't kick like they do in story mode of you try to loot saddle bags (got to the point that I stopped trying cuz 8/10 I would get kicked despite calming the horse or even riding it). It's stupid and I wish they would factor in theft like they do with vandalism and antagonizing. But ya know, Rockstar wants to punish all forms of free roam killing. Welcome to what the people crying griefer every time they die have partially caused.
  2. I feel like if they made it so that ranks 1-10 then 11-30 are matched together in sessions so the big kids don't try to pick on the little ones. Even playing grounds then so you at least have a chance. And/or have an option at start to match into sessions with certain ranks like 31--60, 61-90, 91-100, etc. Would help when those high ranks come looking for a fight with me just because I'm on their level. And would help in getting people less pvp oriented interested in the PVP aspect. I mean that's what they do in normal MMOs to give new people a chance so they aren't blown away/scared off. May not stop griefing, but it'd help to an extent. In every game there's always gonna be shitty people. Can't completely eliminate it, only try to keep it in check.
  3. This discussion is as old as pvp/pve and will continue foreverrrrrrr. Sometimes feel it aint no point in arguing/discussing it if you aren't the game developer or someone that they would literally take your idea and implement it into the game.
  4. Yeah, you gotta go to the butchers. Which makes hunting in the north eastern part of the map (my personal favorite area) really annoying as the closest is St Denis. And even though you can now fast travel with pelts, there's a chance of it losing quality (I've not seen it happen on pelts but on carcasses, so I'm just making a guestimate). And yeah, since the weather/days are seen and shared by the entire session. There's no actual sleeping. Just rest up and eat but be careful of eating too much as it's apparently very easy to gain weight now (before the recent update most people were malnourished). Damn, would be nice to get some more PS4 players around that actually are on when I am since I work the night shift and have to go to bed usually around 7pm. I have an anxiety disorder myself. Although I find that it helps in a game like this. I'm always alert and more often than not, me being anxious/paranoid has saved my butt from disaster (player and npc alike). Most people irritate me and I only can stand a select few. Honestly same, I bought Kingdom Hearts 3, The Last Guardian and Far Cry Primal and I haven't touched anything else since getting on red dead online. I work so much my time is valuable so I tend to spend it on what I enjoy the most.
  5. @lumper If you're on PS4 I and my posse would be happy to help you figure things out. If not, I'll try to help from here best I can. I know it can seem overwhelming as the game kinda throws you to the wolves very quickly. Personally what I did was run down deer with a lasso/knife. Only way to get perfect kills until you can get that Springfield (or in my case, bolt action). But once you have the rifle you're set for pve as far as hunting and even pvp (does a lot of damage to players fully upgraded). Pick herbs, sell them. Kill all owls, Hawks, condors, vultures, eagles as they still give more than 1 feather unlike the exotic birds in the swamps of St Denis. Kill gators, sell the big game meat you don't use. Also if you want to remake you're character, go to start menu then player and I believe it gives you the option of deleting your character. You'll still keep your cash and gold but nothing else. I can't cover all the points of your post right now as I'm at work. But I'll get back to you in a couple hours. -edit- No you can't sleep, only rest. You can't pass the day. No there's not a trapper, yet... maybe. Yes it sucks. Yes, a good portion of players will kill you, not all are "griefers" as sometimes the daily challenges want you to kill other players with a certain weapon in a certain way. Stay far away from dark red dots/players on the map. No they aren't all red because of killing others, they could have been defending themselves. But still to be cautious, just make sure you are aware of their general vicinity. Purple dots too, but you can't see them as easily. Also for $250 you can get a red Arabian horse. It's not as good as the normal one, but better than the Tennessee walkers, Kentucky saddlers and Morgans. Unless you have the ultimate edition of the game then you get a free Thoroughbred and saddle, along with free volcanic pistol and varmint rifle, think a pump action shotgun too.
  6. You're welcome to join me/my friends some time if you're ever bored. I too like to pick flowers and stab things with arrows and go horse fishing. We range from rank 64-185. Shoot me a message some time aye.
  7. *tips hat to fellow moral code user* I do the same. That's why I don't have much problem finding someone to shoot lol. There's always some asshat wanting to gun you or some poor sop down just for existing.
  8. Yeah I've noticed that. Or I would come around the corner and there was about 11 wagons just sitting there in a mess, some without drivers. Was funny to see imo. Or I've had a wagon just run me over while sitting still when he could have kept on the road, but chose to swerve and go around me while I'm on the side of the road. Did these drivers not take their Xanax this week?
  9. I wouldn't call it the worst, but not the best. I do personally like the changes to the blip/radar, although it's still possible to give someone if you've recently shot at or killed them if you're gonna be persistent in being a douche. I do feel like I have a but more privacy and the colors do give someone an indication of whether they will kill you or not. Even though, yes even dark blue people can still shoot you in the back. But also dark red people can be your friend. Had a 116 lurk behind my friend, told her cuz I noticed the dot near he's and checked the map real quick. He ended up being friendly and just wanted to fish. On the other hand, don't a treasure map and some dark blue starts something with me when I'm picking flowers. I've noticed people are less antsy than before. I also like not being targeted for my rank. I've had people come all the way from tumbleweed to Rhodes because I was the only other high rank in the session, before the blip update. (they ended up being friendly, but the rest that have done that weren't).
  10. I used to be part of the pve crowd when I first started that mmo I mentioned. It's an acquired taste for me. I kept getting my ass handed to me so I got better because I wanted to dish out some ass whoopins too. And it was hella fun. I've said before in another thread or probably this one. If I wanted only structured pvp then I'd play overwatch or fortnite. The allure of free roam is part of what keeps me around in RDO. I've had so many good pvp moments, even when I got wrecked. Hell I logged in yesterday, some low rank bolted towards me while I was trying to set my camp up and tried to kill me. Griefer? Nah. Even when another one did manage to kill me, I wasn't upset. I came back and popped him a couple times before he thought better of trying again. People don't want to try and just want to be a stick in the mud. They take getting shot very personally and cry about not 'consenting' to pvp. I'm not saying the guy who targets people fishing or the asshat snipers by the butchers are okay though.
  11. I've personally heard the song and dance of oh people will leave cuz they are forced into pvp many times. And yeah sure they will but others will replace them. Long standing free pvp game I used to play still running as well as ever despite the fact you can't pve without going through pvp first. Y'all complain but still play, some will leave but most of you still play. I still see lobbies of 24+ everyday despite everyone crying griefer when they get shot.
  12. Couple more here, she looks tired and like I said sometimes looks like a very feminine boy. I'm still fine with how she looks tho, not enough to restart, especially now lol.
  13. Never seen a company reward you for securing your account, weird sh*t man.
  14. Ya know I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this. They have this.... empty dead look to them. Like I wish I could have changed her eye color. Sometimes she looks fine but other times it's just unsettling. I think the expression also plays a part of it. Also women can't change the size of the boobs. They look like feminine boys with longer hair. First pic, my character to the left my friend's to the right.
  15. Rank doesn't mean much after 93 to be honest. And even ranks 31+ put up a hella good fight sometimes. It's not all about what ammo and guns you use. My friend is rank 64 and I'm 151 and she kicks my ass. All she ever uses is shotguns and sniper rifles too. All about the speed, tactics and whatnot and whether you're able to get those headshots. And before you say anything about auto aim, more often than not I'm usually too far away from people to auto so I've learned to free aim even though aiming is kinda clunky in rdr2 compared to other games.
  16. Free roam pvp and missions. Working together with friends/posse whether for missions or in pvp. Being ready to sit a mofo down if they try to mess with any of my people. Hunting, with a bow and knife. Running everywhere as fast as possible on my baby girl Lucy (foxtrotter). Play fighting within the posse, honing our "skills" and staying sharp (we're almost constantly hog-tying or killing each other).
  17. Damnb. Idk why some get fat easily while others don't. I've heard some get it from eating seasoned meat. Try that plus candy. Does it say average or you going by looks?
  18. That's how I feel. I'm not terribly good at headshots either, about 50/50. But you'll die to a headshot from any weapon really. And yeah, if I miss the head I want it to hurt at least.
  19. Yeah one of my friends ran from emerald ranch to van horn the other day. He's still upset that after I shot and killed him and respawned that he was suddenly overweight. And one of my other friends said he looked like Uncle Phil from fresh prince and we died laughing. I'm amused that the weight isn't terribly noticeable on women tho.
  20. I know for a fact that not all red dots are red because they were being douches. Sometimes they are red because they were defending themselves. I've ridden by and with other dark red people and they were cool. My posse and theirs were doing missions in the same area, some other posse comes in hot shooting, we kinda band together to run them out of the area then go about our way. We're both dark red now. Are we bad? Nah.
  21. I switched back to the Litchfield, the 26 rounds ain't worth it. Only thing I liked was how it sounded and looked. Maybe I'll give it another try later. I use double revolvers or the bolt even for pve. Double Schofield in deadeye sounds like a machine gun going off. Or when I'm trying to imitate Charles, I use my bow lol.
  22. Personally was not impressed with its pvp capability. Sticking to my bolt action for pvp.
  23. Oh then I can't remember all the people we went after, some red some blue for sure but not exclusively red/purple.
  24. Yeah I was testing it with a gun fight just earlier and I still say repeaters are for pve content. I'll stick with my bow, bolt action and Schofield/sawed off combo. Not sure if I'll even use the Evans for pve, stick with the Litchfield. I do like how the Evans sounds when firing tho, big umph to it.
  25. I would like some more people who tried to fight back, and reds are those people usually. Was it with this update today or upcoming? If today I'll see if it works like intended.
