Thanks man. Gears looks great. Gears 4 gives you a prologue to play through that summarizes the previous chapters and the graphics enhance as you move through them, that was pretty cool. I did add the Ultimate version which I read is gears 1 enhanced basically, I really dont want to go back to 360 graphics, the story isnt that important to me in these games. Same with Wolfenstien, I did play I think the original, but the one I loaded the other day looks fantastic, so I am definitely going to try to get through that one. I will look at the hunter too. Right now Ive got Far cry 3, and 5 Ultimate edition with all the add ons and dlc's, and the others I mentioned. I think with those I am set, I just need a distraction from rdr2 until we get some more content and with this list I think I have it. I was thinking about Tomb Raider as I remember one of the earlier versions looking great, but I also want to see the latest Fall out I think, I saw a video and the graphics looked great, not sure about the play or story, but it looked good enough to give it a try. Anyway thanks for the input I do hate talking to myself, so Im glad you decided to jump in.

^^ exactly. I am part of a group, and sometimes they will send invites to have a discussion or join a battle etc.. unexpected, if I am on doing daily challenges, I dont have a uniform on, I am not equipped for a battle necessarily etc.. so just another reason I play offline, so when I am grinding and working on specific things I am not distracted by others looking to do something else, once I am done, I will switch it back, sometimes.

I dont need to watch the clip I remember this movie well and this part, which is legendary and supposedly true, I have seen it depicted in several films. Def seems Troll like however. Look, nobody was trolled and griefed harder than me when I Started this game, I made a few posts about it as it was happening, plus I was part of a group that has organized battles with other groups and we have ranks and uniforms and different sections within our group, etc.. and so I was hunted, But I still never resorted to shooting first, no matter what. Only very recently after getting sick of it have I adopted a new policy, one I am not even a fan of but it is how it has to be, if you approach me, for any reason, and we dont know eachother, I give you ample warning, I make it clear I am busy, not looking for friends and you probably need to go back to where you came from, and if you continue to approach then that is on you, I will kill you for coming too close, period, this was decided after maybe a dozen times I gave people the benefit of the doubt and it ended with me being killed. I dont mind being killed, I dont lose anything, it is just mildly inconvenient but at this point, it is just human nature, the very worst of human nature, I can see the stupid grins on the faces of the would be troll as he approaches lasso in hand, and I decided, nope, not today, not anymore, I dont mind going red for 5 minutes, it always reverts back to low hostility quickly as I dont continue to kill other players so if you have that look in your eye, if you see me skinning an animal and think, hmm I see a new target, fresh meat, then ok, bring it, if that is what you want, but it isnt as much fun as you might think, you wont get a shot off, even after the third or fourth time, I roll stacked with ammo, dyna arrows etc.. and I love using it.

This has been my least received post ever, lol. Im thinking people here like me, really dont care about other games, they want to talk about rdr2 and that is it, and I get that. At this point I am at level 147 I think, and I'm just sooo bored. I am angry about the ability cards being nerfed after I did all that work to get them and paid all that $$ for R* to neutralize them really irritates me to no end. I believe it is to balance the game, I think they looked and saw what percentage of players are above level 25, level 50 and level 100 and decided the most of the players are not over level 100 therefore their largest audience is not well equipped yet, so to keep them from getting discouraged and feeling like they cant keep up or stay alive they reduce the affects of some of our abilities until more players are higher levels, in theory a decent idea especially if you are a new player, BUT to those of us who did all the grinding to get here, not cool man, not cool at all.

^^^ Def agree you cant generalize and decide that everyone who does this or does that is a griefer or you end up being the griefer because you then attack people who fit that description it is profiling and we all know that doesnt work. ^^^ That is hilarious!! I love it when a griefer complains about using items from in the game, Hey dopey, it is the game dude, this game has dead eye, if you arent using it, you are being silly, use it thats why it is there. It works if you jump servers, not on the same server. If you are on the same server I can find you in the players list no matter what, BUT if I jump servers to get away from you, all you have to do is go to my profile, see where I am and then hit "join" and there you are, but by going to "offline" when you go to my profile you can not see where I am or even if I am playing rdr2 so yes it def works.
-
Well, I keep my profile "offline" for the opposite reason, once a troll sets his sights on you they will actually follow you around the game, I had to switch to offline to keep this one guy from tracking me down and hunting me. I was up in Colter hunting by myself one day and he and his posse showed up, killed me and rode off, lol. I had enough of that so I went to "offline" mode to prevent it. So it isnt the only indication of a Troll as I dont troll anyone.

Well Halo was a bust, I guess you needed to play the other games to know what to do, I was pretty lost so...next. Wolfenstien II looked really good, a little linear so far but I am very early in the game still so Ill reserve judgement but the graphics are great on the xbox and it runs super smooth. I am thinking Ill try gears when it is done and depending on how that goes maybe try the Ultimate edition a remastered version of the original from what I read. Im just trying to stay busy while RDR2O get's its stuff together and the summer update hits. There is also Star Wars Battlefield 2 to re-learn if all else fails. I was just hoping to find a new franchise to keep me busy for a while so the Red Dead boredom doesnt get to me. The only other thing I see is this Ark Survival, its 66 gigs though, so I dunno, maybe if Gears doesnt work out and I uninstall it.
-
I downloaded gears 4 and halo 5 I guess Ill check those out.
-
I have the game pass, I've never played Halo, Gears, Wolfenstien, Ark, just cause, or any others, really etc.. I loaded Wolfenstien II started playing it, it looks good to me, Im going to give it a go. But what else should I look at? I like fps style games with good graphics, not cartoony, over colorful type graphics like doom , although DOOM is fun, Im not looking for that right now, I like more like games that look like RDR2, Star Wars Battlefront, far cry 5, Call of Duty ww2, etc.. more realistic type graphics. So out of the games I mentioned what do you recommend? Is Halo or Gears any good? if so, which one, they have a bunch of and remastered original on Halo I think plus one has like the masters collection, etc.. so which one specifically would you recommend if you were going to say Gears or Halo? Thanks for any advice.

Yeah I think lately they are tweaking and nerfing aspects of the game to help out the low level newer players including this situation as it is clear that the higher pecentage of people shooting defensive mode players are newer players, and R* wants new players and doesnt want them to get discouraged right away and leave the game, so they nerf our ability cards that I worked so hard for and spent so much money on to level the field a little, they tweak the hostility system to not be as smart as it was supposed to be, and several other little things and it is getting irritating to be honest. We worked long and hard to get here, why should we lose our advantages so that newer players feel they have a fighting chance? Newer players dont need to be out attacking, they need to get busy grinding like I did to get to a point where they can actually win a fight, instead of making their whole game experience just hanging around the butcher taking cheap shots at passerbyes. I dunno but lately I am getting really bored with the game as a result the pvp is unplayable like this, the free roam is good but boring once you have done everything 10x, and without my cards working correctly it is frustrating, Like I would take to griefer hunting full time if my cards worked correctly, it woudl be fun, but I mean if Never without one was actually working and Slow and steady did what it said, etc.. A level 7 player with a carbine that hasnt been upgraded should not be able to one shot kill me when I am running those two cards, its just off. Then it would be fun, ok you think your goign to attack people? Well here is the sad truth buddy, your not, you cant kill a high level payer with maxed out ability cards with what you have, it just isnt gonna happen, this alone would shift those players from griefing to grinding to get better so they can grief. Oh yeah, sorry IMO.

I dont do races at all, I do extended sessions though, like 4 and 8 hour sessions of grrindign and in those I can see the difference. Also I have had both the Chestnut Arabian, and the thoroughbred, the Shire, and the trotters and turks so I have ridden them all, and I have had several saddles so it is my experience they do make a difference. If you havent tried them or havent owned them how can you decide if they make a difference? Anyway who really cares right? DO what you like and what makes you happy, if you dont see a reason to upgrade your saddles then dont do it. I just wanted to give that info to anyone who did want to know or try it or was thinking about buying the better saddles. If you are happy with your horse and saddle set up then more power to you, I agree, not worth it for you to make a change. I like to upgrade everything I can as I move through this game so as time goes by and more stuff becomes available and they tweak stuff, I am up to date, I have the best stuff I can get my hands on and hopefully have an advantage in ways that add up. To each his own and I respect your decision to do whatever you want to do in this game, not judging anyone or telling people what to do The main reason I got rid of my Arabians are people would smash into me killing my horse and I look silly on such a small horse. Try a shire lol they are massive, the Trotters and Turks and thoroughbreds I think are just right for my guy

I loot everybody I can, whether they are from an ambush, a stranger encounter or hideout, like, if I save a stranger for her sister then have to ride her home, and on the way more bandits appear and attack, ill kill them, stop and loot them on the way, usually 2 more come, and I repeat, there is no time limit on those so as many bodies as they will send Ill loot. I dont run straight to the pawn guy so by the time I do I actually have quite a few items to sell, and often I find maps. Ive noticed depending on where and how you clear a hideout can really help the bodies not de-spawn and since Ive been paying attention to this I have been getting more maps. I wonder if it is any different from xbox to ps4? I doubt it, but I wonder.
-
Well not true, I spend a lot of time grinding, and trust me you notice a difference when your drain rates are so stacked, I dont have to feed my horse anywhere near as often as I woudl with almost all the other saddles, there are about 4 or 5 saddles that are kind of similar then it drops off steeply and yes, there is a huge difference, it isnt just speed and quickness, it is the stamina and health but really mostly the stamina, without that saddle I have to feed my horse about 4x as often and it adds up and you have to pick carrots everywhere you find them, with the panther, ratttlesnake or beaver saddles it is cut way way down. When you get to a level where you can get one of them and you have the $$ so you dont mind buying something give it a try, there is a big difference I noticed it immediately There is a reason there are stats, level requirements and higher prices. You pay more and have to earn by xp but then the pay off is savings and less headaches

LOL, Ill wait for GTA 6 to come out, start fresh with everyone else.
-
The embarrassing thing is I only figured this out about 2 weeks ago. I posted that back in March!! I was surprised when nobody commented after I figured it out, I Was like, wait no one realized what I was missing? IT took me a while but one day it just clicked, and I realized, DOH! Im so stupid, how can I miss that? But lol I did figure it out, and when I was able to use it it was oh so satisfying. Thanks for being the one person to actually read my comment, realize what I was doing wrong and then comment to help me, thanks man.

Well, for me, I woudl be starting from scratch, ive never played it at all or any GTa game so I woudl think I would play the game then merge to the online and try to do what I did here and grind my way to a high level or status etc.. but from all the videos I see about trolls and people bored messing with anyone trying to complete missions it just seems like an invitation to get stressed out over a game. I am thinking when gta 6 comes out maybe Ill jump in then, I am hoping they wait for the next gen consoles in Xmas 2020 so it will be a fresh new start all around. I was very tempted as the price is right, $15 to get the game and $40 to get it with all the perks and $8,000,000.00 seems really good to me, it was normally $159.00 marked 75% off for $39.99
-
Ahh I see. Ya know, I saw an E3 sale and GTAV is on sale, base game 15$ and the super delux version that comes with all sorts of things and 8,000,000.00 in gta bucks to spend for $40 but with all I have seen online and heard, I decided I woudl just wait for GTA VI. IT looks like a nightmare to me lol.

*Camps* (Discussions of Issues Since Summer Update)
lumper replied to zosma2000's topic in Troubleshooting
LOl sorry that sucks man. -
Thanks for that. My feeling is if you have to go into network settings to try and manipulate the game that isnt for me. I mean I Want to avoid griefers but I already do that for the most part just by fast travelling to the other side of the map, when I do run into people it isnt that bad and honestly when you never run into anyone it does get kind of boring, even running into passive players who dont bother you can be fun at times. That seems a little extreme to me.
-
Ive gone as far as I am going to go I am 100% satisfied that these three saddles are the best over all, I prefer the beaver and panther saddles myself, my horse is very quick, very fast and doesnt suffer from any stamina or health drains worthy of any further changes. I dont know if things work as they should or not, what I do know, is that for a low level player that Nochadog...saddle is pretty darn good if you like those terrible colors, But once you exceed level 90 you can move up to one of the three mentioned, as those are going to offer the best stats for you and your horse. I only clarified because of someone contradicting my posts, I wanted to make it clear and obvious for anyone who actually does care what the stats are and let them make their own decisions. Beyond that I really dont care. When you show someone the facts and then cant say, oh ok, I didnt know that, but rather have to say, I Saw a video once,... I just throw my hands in the air and give up, lol. To each their own, do what you want, if you like to know what the stats are, then there ya go. So, To everyone reading this, what saddle are you using ?

Im glad someone finally posted this. This happened to me in Braithaite manor a few times, I was pitched in an apple orchard, and some woman was in my camp, ok no big deal, BUT she was blocking my access to the beer, that is a crime, I mean cmon, help yourself but F:n move after. Well she wouldnt move so I lassoed her, tied her up and threw her over the fence, back to her side of the fields, well this started all kinds of trouble so I shot her, then her husband or some dude came over to "witness" and well homey dont play that, so I shot him too, This went on one night for quite a while. It has only happened twice and both times at that location only, but I never mentioned it as I never heard anyone else talk about it.

Meh we all have ideas, some better than others. I think if they offered up a bounty on griefers, and the more charges against a griefer the bigger the bounty and the more notorious you are if you are the one who brings him in, then the law can levy charges, and if deemed guilty can be fined, inprisoned or hanged, and in all cases he woudl be fined a % of his over all cash and gold, like 5% for first offense, 10% for a second and 25% for a third. This way you reward those who stop him, you deter griefing by making it expensive, and you open up a new part of the game, courts, prisons, and hangings.

Also, shoot gators til you can get a fish pole, then get any lure, they all work in any body of water. Fish for bass, trout, salmon as you can hold 10 of each and they sell for $2 to $2.50 and you can very quickly make several hundred bucks. From there, going to areas plentiful with deer, boars, turkey etc.. BUT spawn into the opposite side of the game and ride over there or fast travel if you have the $$ so you wont be bothered by players while you hunt. just keep that up. It is easy to get away from players and as long as you have ammo and a fish pole making money is fast and easy. I forgot to mention as soon as you can get a lancaster and shotgun, finish all the land of opportunity missions, the first time you do them you get paid well, after that it isnt as much but still pretty good. You will learn that stretching missions out to the end will often pay you more so try to finish the objective on a stranger mission but then go hunt until the timer is near the end. I just saw a video that suggested the highest pay isnt at the final 30 seconds but rather take the time alotted and divide it by 2 and then subtract 10 seconds, and this supposedly is the optimal payout for xp anyway, I dont know how true it is, I only started experimenting with this yesterday, but it is worth a try. So if the time says 12:20 then split that to 6 mins 10 seconds, drop the 10 seconds and you have 6 minutes, finish the mission at exactly 6 minutes for optimal payout. We will see, in the past it was the last 30 seconds tended to pay out the most, I have gotten 250 xp one time and 780 xp another time on the same missions just by extending the time. But anyway story missions are pretty good and you can replay them as many times as you want. SO add that to your day and you should do well, hunting, fishing, running story missions over and over and stranger missions, plus encounters. Loot every body and you will find some treasure maps too. I like to take on a hunting missions, then get the wolf or bear, then continue to hunt until the timer runs nearly out then bring the pelt to the missions giver so you get the xp and $$ from pelts that you hunted while on the missions plus the missions payout as well.

Whats an MTU? I havent heard of this before, please explain what it is and why adjusting it puts you in a limited or private server please?
-
I heard there was a massive Playstation network crash in Europe that affected US servers as well, if you are on PS4 you probably experienced some issues yesterday and today, if not you are lucky. I am xbox so.. not related, but I wanted to ad that for those players who have experienced disconnects lately.
