  1. If it's any consolation, I almost turned around and left the second time I was there too, but this game is of full of esoteric detail that I go over everything possible. Sure it slows down the gameplay, but I love doing it.
  2. Had you recently left the scene of a crime and left a body or evidence behind? I get that from time to time, and all I have to do is basically run away from the crime scene as fast as I can. Unless there's a "WITNESS" notification, a "Crime Reported" is nothing to worry about--most of the time you can outrun the investigation.
  3. Holy Aragorn, Batman! Edit: This is my new favorite thread on this forum.
  4. I did. I was hunting the legendary buck over there, and remembered the cave from when I did the bounty in Strawberry. If you've been over to Strawberry, you can unlock the mission to find the cave by doing the bounty at the sherrif's office. Just remember to mark your map afterwards so you can find it again after completing the bounty.
  5. That horse is always pulling that cart with those hillbillies. I ran into them myself northwest of Annesburg, right after I freed the horse and have her stabled for now as my backup to my main horse. At some point, once I max out "Arnold", I'll start on her.
  6. On this mission, you can rob the room as many times as you'd like, even after the mission ends. Grab the gun, then run out the door and turn to the left to the sherrif's office to turn yourself in. If you ONLY KILL O'DRISCOLLS, your bounty will be less than $10, and you can pay that off easily. You can then repeat the theft and keep taking the money on the table ($50.00) and killing O'Driscolls. I did it about ten times and made $400.00+ easily. You can also keep looting scholfields and dual wield them once you get the off-hand holster.
  7. Pro tip to make Lanterns unnecessary:
  8. I am getting sick of this nonsense. Can we get a dedicated subforum for this crap so it stops polluting general chat? I report them as soon as I see them, but maybe if we had a "Solicitation" or "Social Sharing" sub, this would stop popping up like a bad case of herpes. Edit: @Cokeyskunk, @Benjo, and any other mod...
  9. Finding the perfect pelt to craft items with Pearson and the Trapper. The free meat to replenish cores is pretty nice, too.
  10. Whoa, there, Scarface! You may want to dial back on the murdery-ness. Or better yet, use a melee attack ON a horse and get kicked by it. Hilarious. This was one of my favorites that I found out by mistake gaming while drunk on cheap rye. It's also helpful to locate plants and herbs in the wild. Also useful when looting a camp to point out consumables and lockboxes.
  11. I absolutely love how diverse Arthur looks based on facial hair and haircuts alone.
  12. You're further along than I am.... I'm still in Chapter 2, but nearing 40% completion from all the side quests.
  13. Ive had better luck with my Dutch Drafthorse (Arnold) who handles "heavy" than I have with smaller, faster horses. He's a beast! Slow, but a BEAST!!!
  14. When Uncle Bropollo pulls the trigger on a whitetail deer IRL, that deer goes down and stays down. To be fair, I only hunt deer, so I can see your point on a smaller animal if you're hunting with open sights, but I'm not a senseless butcher--that venison goes in my freezer.
  15. If RDR3 ever becomes a thing on the next generation of console
  16. I need them to announce the beta dates for RDR2 Online so I can force myself to finish the story mode. I'm just aimlessly meandering all over the map with no urgency whatsoever, and I need something to force me to buckle down.
  17. No. I'm over 40 hours in..... and I'm still in Chapter 2. I've uncovered a LOT of the map, done as many side quests as possible (and haven't resorted to using the internet for clues/tips--straight up old school exploring), and just spent HOURS doing stupid stuff like trying to murder most of Valentine, "feeding the pigs", trophy hunting, collecting, and slaying O'Driscolls with extreme prejudice... I'll spend an hour exploring the middle of nowhere, or roping deer from horseback and killing them with a knife; It really depends on what I"m in the mood for. I don't know how much further I have to go in Chapter 2, because I haven't spoiled it for myself yet, but right now, the only two main quests on my docket are: There's been plenty to do: I've located a lot of side businesses, and the hunting aspect of the game is a lot of fun for me, personally. Once I have a solid release date for RDR2 Online, I'll probably accelerate my pursuit of finishing the main story, but for now, I'm enjoying the pacing just fine.
  18. Working on it still. I cut everything off to make him look like Lemmy early on, and now I'm guzzling Hair Tonic like there's no tomorrow. Once I get him suitably past length 9 or so, I'll revisit, but right now, he's getting pretty unkempt/Hillbilly-ish. Regular baths seem to help, and so does pommade, but once that beard gets to where I want it to be, I'll probably look to get him a haircut. Edit: I'll get a pic up later.
  19. I HATE Micah, and would gladly if I could.
  20. As if I didn't need another perfectly valid reason to hate Micah. Thanks for reminding me how much I HATE Micah.✊
  21. I have a new rule for the forums: Every time someone brings up Micah, I am required to thank folks for reminding me how much I hate that gutless yellow turd. So, as required by my own rule, Thank you for reminding me how much I HATE Micah, and how much I wish I could have
  22. To be fair, I shoot A LOT of things in this game. To quote Ash Williams: "Shoot first, think never."
  23. I love that cap and vest combo. I use them too, along with the dark green trenchcoat and cavalry gloves. At least until I can rock some overalls.
  24. I didn't realize this until last night, but you can activate the "tracking" option when looking, and any plants in the area that are able to be picked/consumed will light up, similar to when tracking animals. It's been a lifesaver for me, personally. If you haven't done this yet, I'd recommend going back to the areas where they're known to grow, and trying that out. I always walk about ten or twenty feet (give or take) and activate it briefly while doing a quick spin if I"m looking for something specific.
