I hope that's the case - it was annoying nothing could ever happen with the casino in GTA. I'm saving my GBs in case they introduce something good to use them for later (I got burned in GTAO buying everything that was available at the start that was ultimately useless then couldn't afford the good stuff when it eventually dropped).

What major items do you see coming?

Mexico. I don't see it happening but I live in hope. -
Newer guys, need some great looting spots?

Hanging Dog Ranch. The jewellery is in the cupboard by the stairs on the ground floor. -
Breaking/stopping skinning animation
CosmoKramer replied to James Hickok_1837's question in Questions & Answers
Yep, used to do this loads in RDR, especially when hunting bears or cougars as they would spawn again as soon as you killed one. Don't do it in this game because of the danger of your horse trampling the animal and reducing it to 1*. Sometimes get no skinning animation if lucky enough to kill the animal in bushes or on a steep slope. Could also do with animation speed-up on putting away fishing rod and stowing animals on the horse. -
A buckle. For buying just 1,000 consumable items in the shop/catalogue. 🙄 I feed my horse on bought carrots to help attain this award rather than the free ones I can pick up in the wild. Also buy all the cheap produce periodically but it still takes an eternity (and wasted $). Buy from catalogue and combine this award with the one for collecting items from delivery box.

Appears to be fixed for me today.

This is the second time the Gator Hat has been in the rotation I believe so maybe limited stock items come around every 4 or 5 weeks.

9 times out of 10 I can't pitch camp in the Bayou as there are no spots available. I did finally get the coveted spot SW of St Denis last night however - first time ever! 😮

I'd be inclined to wait and see what the spring update brings before throwing in the towel if I'd put as much time into the game as you obviously have but I respect and understand your decision. I got similarly disenchanted with GTAO waiting on the heists update and then even after it arrived I never played the game to the same extent again. R* don't seem to be learning from their mistakes but I guess with the success they achieve with this approach they aren't going to change.

And a few minutes into the game, the message comes up that Cripps has packed up your camp completely!!

When you're not getting any payout for the challenges you get all the luck in the world! After about 5 minutes playing the game I ran across 2 skunks together on the mudflats out in alligator country N of St Denis. Bang, bang, challenge done but nothing to show for it.
-
Did they fix daily challenge payouts?
-
I can't see that it would be, as it seems like too much work, but I hope they don't compensate based on challenges you completed but didn't get rewarded for as I haven't bothered doing them since Saturday except to check if its fixed. I'll be surprised if there is any compensation at all to be honest, just hoping it gets fixed asap.

Thanks but clearing the cache doesn’t work for any game issue I’ve ever seen. I do often do it though just so first line support can’t palm me off with that ‘solution’ from the off.
-
Not sure what you mean by the challenges not starting but they’re not paying out any reward for me the past few days.
-
In between all the disconnects today I noticed this has started being an issue for me. Definitely no gold payouts, not sure about xp. Who the hell did they have work on that last update, some work experience kid? Roll back please R*, couldn’t give a crap about losing that latest bag snatch event.
-
I enjoy the hunting and fishing in the game but if that was all it was (or all I treated it as) I really don’t think I’d play it much - there isn’t much challenge to those aspects and there are games that do it better out there.
-
Locking weapons behind money is pretty much the same as locking them behind rank. How do you get money? By playing the game. But how do you do that in your world when the playing field again is not level? So your argument has to be that everything is just given away and then people just play shooting everyone else because that’s the only point to the game anymore. The kid in the football league analogy is ridiculous and nothing like what I’m suggesting or what the game situation currently is. I’m not advocating a Wild West game with no hostile players at all - another exaggeration - there is a difference between hostile tendencies and just being out to ruin everyone else’s game.
-
No chance but you can still enjoy the game at low level and work your way up as dying has no consequence and there are only so many griefers out there. Its what I did, having picked the game up several months after it became available. In your world a level 1 still has little chance against other players since you place such value on game experience and there are more people out there with OP weaponry. My point was there will be more griefers when it doesn't take any commitment to the game to have access to all the good stuff. While you can never eradicate those people who 'just want to watch the world burn' you at least reduce their number by making them have to put some time and effort in.
-
I guess I just tend to have the outlook that people who put the time and effort into something deserve to get more in return than those that can't be arsed. If R* wanted to make the PvP elements a level playing field by giving everybody access to everything regardless of rank I couldn't really care less but having rank 1 players in free roam running around with the best horses and weaponry is just throwing the doors open to mass griefing. You say the game is mostly PvP but from what I see on this forum there's a lot of people out there playing the game primarily as a co-operative PvE with odd bits of PvP thrown in.

Enemy should be NPC, I have always found it to be so. For instance, yesterday I did the lasso 5 enemies from horseback by making random passers-by angry with me and then lassoing them. Just lassoing them directly doesn't work. Trampling can be a tricky one as often enemies are merely knocked down not killed directly from being run down by the horse - best to soften them up with gunfire first. I'm not saying the challenge wasn't glitched for you the other day (that's entirely possible and I didn't complete that challenge either) but generally speaking NPCs are enemies.
-
R* appear to believe there is no problem and that when the count reaches zero you will level up as normal. And apparently that has been the case for some people. But it wasn't the case for me or others so it will depend on your luck. I'm now 2 levels short of where I should be with this and my broken award they don't have a clue how to fix. Not a massive deal in the grand scheme, just annoying like dumping rank requirements for the best items in the game.
-
Same here, not played much this week but finally checked my xp earlier and sure enough it was negative. And sure enough when the count reached zero my rank stayed the same and the xp started to count up as normal. Screwed over twice this week by R* already now - great update!

I thought there was probably a faster drain rate associated but like you say, the damage reduction has got to be worth it. I'll keep chowing down those big game delights...

This thread made me conscious about my own weight so I had to check it in the stats - sure enough after all those big game burgers I was classified overweight. 😧But hang on a minute, as a fatty I appear to have a slight health boost - why would I not want that? Now, where's Cartman with that Weight Gain 4000?
