  1. Sorry R*, I don’t give a **** about snow, pianos playing jingle bells, Xmas wreaths and a free hamper of shitty gifts while there are no animals in the game and I keep losing money hand over fist (and time) trying to play the moonshine content. Bah humbug.
  2. Got stuck on the loading screen for a delivery again tonight but my posse was able to successfully deliver the ‘shine without me. My game never recovered and I had to quit so no credit for me. Another $250 write-off. Not getting daily challenge credit for making Cripp’s special recipe stew either anymore, just another bug to add to the long list.

Pretty sure the whole Outlaw Pass concept is aimed squarely at casual players - relatively high gold buy in to encourage micro-transactions from said player base, and a bunch of rewards that encourage more engagement with the game - unlocking ability cards, discounts on cosmetic purchases etc. All these things are more useful to that type of player than everyday players. Although I have never used Old Man Jones in my whole time of playing RDO I did use an honour switching token the other day to unlock a story mission so I could play it with a friend. I could have gone on a rampage but that would have taken some time and if I want my honour high again, with no animals around, I can see me using another token for that. I still have a couple of stable stalls to unlock so I'll get use out of those tokens. I agree with you that you should have an option to discard them.
  5. Might have been an idea to disable posse versus daily challenges on the day of disabling posse versus activities...Or at least put out a splash screen in the game to save people keep going into the menu option and wasting time wondering why its not working.
  6. What platform are you on? I have no issue scrolling through the tickets on PS4 via the Benefits page. I had loads of them before I even realised you had to redeem some of them (gold & $ was just gifted to your account with the 1st Outlaw pass), and I'm already level 100 so have unlocked them all. I was surprised that this new mechanic didn't give the option to redeem certain vouchers like fast travel when you want - that was a bugbear I had from the 1st Outlaw pass - I want to choose when to use free travel not just use a ticket every time for as long as I have the vouchers. And I'd have chosen not to use the free mash supply token at all given that it seems to **** up the whole moonshine operation. I don't have a problem with the nature of any of the offers though - sure the ability card ones are no value to me and some of the clothing ones I'll never redeem but they were all gifted through just playing the game and different people will place different value on the rewards.
  7. I would be level 20 by now but for all the times my moonshine has up and vanished like a fart in the wind. I have a theory that Maggie & Marcel are screwing me over, selling it off on the side. Don't trust 'em! I must have lost more money than I've made from the role (not even counting the business expenditure) just on buying mash over and over. I now don't flavour until the batch is almost ready to go and don't change posse situation while Marcel is doing whatever the hell it is that he claims he does (form/disband/add members etc). I did think it only worked in the same session but I've changed sessions and found the batch still in production as often as not now and lost batches even without leaving a session. Seems completely random.

Pretty sure you can over-donate though, and lose materials - if you've gone into the donate materials option while its not grey and you keep adding from your satchel/horse/wagon it won't count them past 100% but will let you keep donating. It's only when you go back out to the trader summary screen that it will grey out the option if the bar is full. So if you're at 95% it will for instance let you donate a 3* cougar but you won't get full credit. When there were actual animals in this game I would stock up on all the things I could carry in my satchel to keep the bar topped off when I needed to.

I'm down to a single page in my satchel for materials to give to Cripps and my wagon is empty for the first time since I bought it as the only way to supply Cripps for the past week has been from my reserves. I couldn't even find small birds to kill for one of yesterday's challenges. I did somehow manage to find the single alligator the game spawned when I had a hunting resupply mission a few days ago. Hell, I even ruined one of the moonshiner story missions because I got so excited spotting a deer that I just had to shoot it when I was supposed to be being stealthy. Typical R* update - some shiny new stuff (tho buggy as hell), a few fixes that we should have had ages ago, and a whole host of new & old broken gameplay mechanics.
  10. Exactly - they had to replace the butcher somehow given nobody would be getting pissed off his inane comments anymore after the roles update!! I kind of miss his sea-shanty whistling in a way....
  11. Why have I never tried this? Fair enough then, as you were. I totally understand where you're coming from - more often than not my problems in the game (not had all that many) have come from playing defensively, waiting for the other player to act dishonourably.
  12. @Freakshow9191 Don't have a problem with what you say at all and if I'm going fishing I'll usually do it where I won't have my back to a road. Only thing I would say from the other side of the fence is that whenever I put my fishing rod away in the game it seems to take an absolute fricking age to do, like hanging stuff off the horse, so plenty of time for you to react if the fisherman so much as flinches as you pass.
  13. Thanks, I did think of trying via one of the physical points but was too lazy to seek one out and ride to it. 😂 When I've done it in the past and it would work I used the Online menu (rather than the quick join) but I didn't think it should matter what joining method you used.
  14. @SimonTemplar 😮I always thought you were put in "semi-transparent" mode when doing a local delivery so players couldn't mess with you even if they tried? That sucks. People pulling this sort of sh*t should be forced to stay on the server until you say you are done with any retribution you see fit!
  15. I think the trader role is adequately balanced earnings-wise by the time it takes Cripps to process the goods. They didn't need to reduce animal spawns (and I don't think they actively did) as you only need a few kills before materials bar is full and you have no reason to hunt anymore. Even on busy servers I have no trouble keeping Cripps supplied, assuming I can actually set camp in the first place. Animal spawns have mostly been affected by the servers being busy and everyone having camps set up. I thought R* had fixed animal spawns before (Spring?) but now I just think it was a downturn in interest of people playing the game. Remember R* eliminated animals from GTA in order to prevent lag issues with the multiplayer online version? They still haven't found a solution to this problem.
  16. The daily challenge yesterday. I'd done all the other challenges so I thought what the hell, I'll give it a go. Trouble is I don't do much PvP and showdowns don't appear to be referred to as showdowns in the menus anymore so I have no idea what R* are talking about for the challenge? I selected the most recently added PvP mode via the quick join menu and even though it turns out to be free aim I see it out to the end and only quit back to free roam once back in the lobby. But it doesn't count for the challenge? This happened the last time I tried to complete a showdown challenge too. Am I selecting the wrong mode? Or via the wrong means? Or is my game just glitching in not counting the completion of the event?
  17. I see bison, elk, gators, bears aplenty normally - I was only talking about moose going missing. What's normally happening in my game though since you ask is I get put in a lobby with 20-25 players nearby.

I'm not talking about people mutually engaging in PvP in free roam, and I don't have a problem with PvP interference in missions or deliveries, but having PvP challenges for Free Roam bred people shooting the first unaware players they encountered just to meet a quota for a bit of gold. Pretty pointless. Showdowns or FREs are a much better arena for those challenges.
  19. I don't miss the free roam pvp dailies as they were misused as cover for griefing. There are still plenty of PvP dailies that crop up, either for FREs or showdowns which is where they belong. The other day 3 or 4 of the challenges were player killing if you want that sort of thing. Not sure where the challenge ever was in doing them in Free Roam to unsuspecting players anyway? Back on topic, I rarely do trader deliveries these days but the last distant one I did was on a posse-only server.
  20. Surely they could have made it that a well-aimed shot to the head or throat slit with a knife wouldn't reduce the quality? If I get a wounding the animal is not normally still 3* so I just finish it off to save time and the agonising death noises.
  21. Agree with the winch idea (and the wench for that matter) or at least something to make the largest animals in the game have a point again. That said I can't remember the last time I saw a moose Online, maybe I just long since gave up looking for one? A reason for fishing the larger fish again would be good too.
  22. I may be wrong but I think the effect on health core is secondary. The primary effect of the poison is to rob you of a portion of the outer health bar. The core then obviously restores that health and if the core isn't gold it will diminish slightly in that process. If you have a very weak core and don't replenish it then the poison could ultimately kill you when the outer ring depletes.
  23. I’ve been bitten a few times - nothing new, always been in the game. Running around on foot in the long grass on a quietish server will do it. If you have a gold health core it tends not to affect you at all, you’ll only know it’s happened if you spot the heart icon flashing to a skull.
  24. Another problem in the game is your horse not willing (or able) to come to you quickly to allow you exit the zone of hostility. Yesterday I spawned in Tumbleweed (joining a friend's session - I usually log off out of towns and pick up from there next session) and there were 4 red dots on the radar - 2 posses going at each other. Unsurprisingly I take a hit but not enough to down me but I can't get my horse to come to me so have to escape on foot (with the weapons I had equipped from my last session). I'm also disadvantaged as I have no idea who shot me so I can't easily retaliate. At rank 250 I well understand what the game is about and I'm fine with the potential for hostility but repeated shooting of a disinterested party is something I hate and I sympathise with those that experience this. The game mechanics do not offer enough useful options to the griefed party and that will end up with RDO in the same place as GTAO where only the tossers continue to play in the long run.
  25. Which is brilliant as I absolutely hate them and shoot any I see just for fun. I've had an irrational dislike to them ever since one bit my ankle while I was hunting something else down on the Dakota riverbed. 😁 Starting to see them a bit more often again these days, they appeared to have died out for a while.
