Not sure I could be bothered to take a bounty all the way across the map for a few extra $ but we were turning last week's bounty from the firewatch tower in at Valentine because I despise the ride over to Annesburg.

My brother and I 'cheated' the 100m bow challenge by doing it on each other so I'm not sure how rare that is. I favour one of the summer update buckles now but my favourite of the standard ones would probably be the 3 sniper rifle headshots in 10s - as hard as my brother tries to get it he can never get it to work out right. š

Did R* completely misjudge progression?

When I first read about the Outlaw Pass I thought it might be a bit of a challenge to level it up to 70 in the time available but it was an absolute joke. Trader progression was almost instantaneous once you unlocked the large delivery wagon and collector you really didn't have to make any effort, just collect stuff as you roamed the world. Bounty Hunter was about right for progression, it was only a little quick as I'd completed the other roles so was able to focus on it more. I think they made some of the xp rewards too big for trader & collector activities - I've gone up over 100 levels since the update dropped. On the other hand that would suggest they got the content pretty much right for keeping me coming back to the game much more than I was before the update. -

From what I read on the solo lobby 'glitch' the lobby will populate if you are not in your camp or on a mission from camp. Not an expert on it though, I only looked into it enough to realise it was more hassle than it was worth. -
I'm talking regular bounties - legendaries obviously take you to a certain part of the map so I've never even tried doing any hunting while in those. It helps if you get a mission where it fades to black to start but even when it doesn't I think the spawns improve even though you don't switch servers. Trader missions work too but you're on a timer from the start with those so I find them less useful for stocking up Cripps.

Same here, I have 3 custom outfits since the early days and only really cycle through 2 of them - Cold/Warm. Donāt pay any attention to what other players are wearing and couldnāt make out what buckle anyone was sporting even if I tried!

Starting Bounty or other missions seems to me to be a quicker and more effective way to solve the animal problem, from what Iāve seen of glitching solo lobbies anyway. Being out there on your own is a novelty for a little while but then it becomes pretty dull fast.

Nope, obviously thatād be the first place to check. Buckle for bringing in any 1 5* as someone said but R* like to do these unwritten bonuses which is why I asked the question. I have a feeling if anything itāll just be for doing all of them at any level and probably nothing more than a colourway for a clothing item but wanted to check before writing this weekās off.

The potential for players to attack other players adds a dimension to the game, griefing adds nothing positive to the game.

Saw on another thread somebody had put a ticket in to R* and they responded that they wouldn't do anything to compensate. It's a difficult case to prove that it's R*'s fault but the vast majority of the time it is yet they don't seem able or willing to resolve it. I think I've had 1 disconnect from my internet service dropping out, the rest have been RDO problems - worse than any online game I've played (even GTAO - I don't remember this sort of problem with that game). -
My friend reckoned there was mention of a reward for players completing all legendary bounties at 5* level but I can't find any information - can anyone shed any light on this? I've done all of them to 5* to date but this week I'm not likely to unless I put a real shift in as I've only done 1* so far. TIA

Yeah , its always the same - nothing can be done about these situations because ***** will glitch the sh*t out of it to their advantage. So regular players suffer. -

I feel your pain - I've lost 2 large wagons to disconnects now, it is much more frustrating than losing one to player attack. I pretty much use trader just as something different to do in the game rather than a reliable source of decent income. And just do local deliveries - less time at risk to a disconnect. -
Ok thanks, I'll try that. Not sure why they made these new FREs without the banner at the top like all the others? I know they are co-op but there is still a competitive element as it tracks a performance table and counts towards competitive awards. Odd. edit: down on d-pad works on PS4 too, thanks for that heads-up.

Worked for me today thankfully but I may still raise a ticket with R*. Along with a suggestion that they add a caption for how well youāre scoring vs the top player like in other FRE modes. Iāve won with mid-20 scores some days yet tied first or only been top 3 with high-40 scores on others.

I appreciate that defensive mode is not passive mode but I donāt believe it works quite as well as the R* blurb promised and it actually puts you at a disadvantage in some situations. For example, if you are caught by somebody who wants to start a gunfight they will likely be perfectly set up for battle whereas you may well have the wrong weapons, the wrong ability cards, not full cores and on the back foot to return fire in free aim. Obviously you need to maintain good situational awareness at all times in this game but R* went and made that harder by taking away the companion app map facility. i have absolutely zero faith in the hostility system - itās rare to see red dots, and rarer still in my experience to be attacked by reds rather than blues. Most reds I see have just taken out some NPCs which is not at all indicative that they will turn their guns on other players. One thing they could maybe add is an alert that someone is trying to aim at you when in defensive mode, that might help a little? Press charges is a waste of time too, even more so since the update when a few dollars is nothing. Couldnāt it call lawmen out or something like when a stranger NPC reports you for acts against other NPCs? Itās still only a minor annoyance to the aggressor but makes them break off the confrontation. Or alert nearby Bounty Hunter players if they persist? I use defensive mode so I canāt be lassoād and to advertise to others that iām just going about my own business, I donāt put any more store in it than that and keep a watchful eye out for other players.

So, after a period of having Trade Route work and really enjoying it every time Iām back to it failing everyday. Past 3 days itās done exactly what I first posted here about and the same happened once last week. Anyone else? Itās really pissing me off as I only get one chance per day to play it.

It occurred to me that maybe the stationary horse wins out so that players canāt ram other playersā horses while theyāre absent to steal carcasses??

Yes - unprovoked hogtying is an asshole move imo. I usually find low levels try and do it a lot around towns but thought defensive mode prevented it? Some asshat tried to lasso me while I was using the campfire near the Butcher is St Denis one time - unfortunately for him I saw him coming as I had the camera turned in his direction even tho my character's back was turned, got up and wasted him with sawn-offs. edit: I think some people get a bit territorial, claiming areas of the map as their own for hunting and the like and attack anyone who dares enter 'their' hood.

Damn, for weeks I've been hesitating buying ammo thinking I should wait for the next discount before stocking up but then buying it anyway. Finally the discount period comes and I hardly need any (I keep max stock in the lockbox)!! Still, I did save pretty big having not bought the weapon variants before now. š Did all the weapon variants get discounted? A couple of them aren't for me but coincidentally they are the ones I hadn't bothered unlocking yet even though I had the tokens.

Last (only) time I had one was just before the update dropped. I earnt what was pretty much considered a fortune back then which now is pretty much a pittance! Lol iāve had a few lobbies recently with 4-6 people but only briefly, they soon fill up.

Still never seen a player bounty although I'm normally in defensive mode and I imagine its one of the things you need to be offensive for. It may have been trying to trigger when I've seen the pop-up to switch to offensive to see nearby missions. R* must expect it to be a fairly commonplace occurrence as I've had player bounties as a daily challenge several times. -
The increase in reward for a large wagon over a medium wagon increases by a good amount. However, the % increase in reward for doing a distant delivery over a local remains at 25%. If the local delivery was low-risk rather than no-risk I might be tempted doing distant deliveries but I prefer a guaranteed income for my efforts delivering 200 units of materials and doing 4 supply runs for Cripps. Solo that is, I can however see distant deliveries being fun in with a larger posse.
