I use Google Authenticator - works fine on both my iPad & iPhone.

I'm liking PIB again at the moment - its not really defensive but I find it useful (and fun) on BH & Trader missions to clear out a bunch of enemies right off the bat. I'll use S&S when I need a defensive hand like the legendary bounties. I then run with Peak Condition, Come Back Stronger & Strange Medicine normally but I just started building up XP on Iron Lung.

Have it at level 4 now and it did actually fare ok on the legendary bounty. Not sure whether it was 4 when I saved a stranger from 2 cougars but it didn't like that at all. Luckily I got 1 cougar right away and only had the other to deal with after being bucked. Is there any truth in the rumour that female horses have better temperament than males? I was intending to get the Breton when I reach level 20 but I had a bit of time before then so thought I'd try the Klad as everyone was raving about it. Only 3 levels to go now and I have the $ saved again.

I do quite like my hunting wagon now thanks to the suggestions I got from the forum (although I still think it could have been done better). If only there were animals in the game and bugs like this didn't exist it'd be awesome.

9/24/19 Title Update 1.13 (Fixes and New Content)
CosmoKramer replied to Kean_1's topic in Red Dead Online
That'd be a great point about the hotfixes if most of the bugs introduced by the summer update weren't resurrections of bugs that had been previously fixed. I saw a load of driverless wagons again yesterday. The new content has been superb but the update really has been 1 step forward, 2 steps back for the game as a whole. Animals are pretty much as scarce as I've ever known in the game - sometimes it's like GTAO with a horse. -

Daily challenge streak bonus multiplier now applies to role-based challenges. Shame I’m still only on 1.5x bonus since my reset. -
Beware, update file is 2.4gb!!

Yup, ridiculously we still only have the option to discard horses, saddles etc. GTA was the same for a while but eventually R* allowed you to sell cars (even if it was at a seriously low value) so not sure why it hasn't been implemented in RDO. At the very least surely they could be donated to Cripps to be turned into glue? I binned one of the free horses R* gave PS4 players to make way for the Kladruber. I still have stable spaces to unlock but didn't have a spare $750. 😮

Not sure what's wrong with my Klad - I must've got a duff one because its none of the things I read here. Only thing its been good for so far is making me miss my Black Arabian. It's sh*t scared of absolutely everything. Chasing a bounty through the swamp it bucked me twice at the mere sight of an alligator and ran off even after I shot the gator dead. It was just as skittish as the red chesnut arabian crossing the little swamp bridges when there are gators in the water. Rears up like crazy everytime I get in a gunfight on it. So much so I got off it to take care of some lemoyne raiders chasing me and it charged off, throwing the bounty off its back in the process. I'm sticking with it to see if it improves at lvl 4 but so far I'm not impressed.

Had to do about 6 missions in Lemoyne yesterday to get 2 to count for the challenge. Wouldn't mind but about half of them were fade-to-black non-XP paying missions. Seems like Rhodes is worse than St Denis for counting for the challenge, but St Denis is pretty bad for missions not starting correctly? Then took a mission for a gang of 4 but it wasn't going to be worth any XP so I went hunting while the 12 minute timer ran down. In West Elizabeth I had no trouble at all - took one from a station and another from Strawberry and both counted for the challenge. Had another resupply mission bug too - Cripps was mute for the cutscene then when he walked off I was just stuck staring at the trader table. Could get into the map but nothing else worked. After about 5 minutes I cut my losses and restarted the game.

I think buying collector maps is a bad investment

Collector was really quick ranking up. Did some maps but other than that made no concerted effort, just looting and doing the challenges and having a hunt around anytime the controller vibrates. -

The maps seem to give you locations relative to where you are on the map when you open them. So if I'm using one to complete a set I'll travel to an area I know I haven't explored that much before opening it. -
Does that also cause the bounty not counting towards daily challenges (like do 2 bounties from WE) - as I've had that a few times?
-
Bounty Hunter is the slowest role to rank up on but what you're saying doesn't sound right. XP & $ payout seems to be relative to time taken on the mission and possibly distance travelled. You should be getting at least 3-400 BH XP per bounty. Cash payouts are rubbish, normally only about $15 (not much more than stranger encounters which normally take a few seconds to complete). What rank are you currently at? If you're below about 150 then in 12 hours you should be making more than a couple of levels. I focus on the daily challenges and do pretty well on XP just by doing those.

It’s a good thing I already completed lvl 20 trader as getting anywhere with it this morning (and the past couple of days) was nigh on impossible. No animals anywhere and couldn’t get camp pitched. When I finally got a place it was over in Great Plains when I was in Roanoke. Headed over there (nothing on horse as I didn’t pass a living thing getting there) and took a resupply mission. Finally the world was alive again! So I skin a few whitetail and then find some 3* pronghorn and decide to give up on the resupply to get the animals back to Cripps. Get 90% of the way there and Cripps packs up and deserts me. And no chance of pitching anywhere again. Fuming. i can only think the camp problem is that since the update everyone wants to pitch a camp all the time whereas before a lot of people didn’t bother with setting camp. R* need to either create more possible camp sites or make servers less busy.

Pretty sure you can still make a profit off all the maps though obviously it’s much better if you can find items without them. I’d say they’re definitely worth it at the start to get an idea of where things may be and they’re also worth it when you have to find specific things for challenges. Ultimately they’re a time saver and that always comes at a cost. -
I lost one experimenting with them on a pronghorn 😂. 30 bucks I’ll never see again.
-
Hogtie him first then throw the bolas at him?? Seems a bit backward but I’ll give it a go.
-
Oh good, not just me then - I did exactly the same thing yesterday! You don't get long to chase the stagecoach, match its speed, jump on and save the day. So I thought hammering the button to jump would speed things up, forgetting that it makes the horse do stupid little jumps on its own. The best I've done for this scenario was I approached from behind and spotted what was going on before the coach took off, I managed to jump on and stopped the coach just as it went into the river. Lost one of the horses but the passenger and driver didn't seem to care.

My BH Challenges today are: 2 West Elizabeth Bounties; Loot 2 Bounties; Take down 2 bounties with Bolas. Awesome I thought - having just unlocked the bolas I can do all 3 challenges in 2 bounty hunts. Nope, this is R*. Took the 2 WE bounties but looting & bolas didn't count. Ok, so I take another 2 bounties, looting works but still nothing on the bolas. I do another thinking maybe the target has to be on the run for the bolas to count but still no joy - I even cut him loose a couple of times to try different things to get it to work. What am I doing wrong with bolas??
-
Same here - donated 1 carcass from horse (counted), picked up another 5 pronghorn on wagon and donated but none counted. Took him 5 pronghorn individually on horse, challenge done. Just when I was starting to see some positivity in the hunting wagon aswell... On the gun cleaning I just put it down to how much more I've been using the repeater, varmint & springfield.

Having got my daily streak back up to level 2 since the reset I notice that the multiplier only affects the original daily challenges and not the role-based ones - hence the confusion above about getting 0.2 not 0.5 gb for some challenges. Seems like the 50gb is decent compensation after all.
-
Had no disconnects yesterday (but did get one loading in today). Animals weren’t really any more plentiful. I’m sure a bunch of things were fixed but it still seems a bit buggy. Confirmed the herb picking issue with red sage - DO NOT PICK HERBS FOR DAILY CHALLENGE WITH YOUR HORSE.
-
So I just tested it with carrots - off horse, picked 3, counted 3. Next spot picked with horse, picked 3, counted 1. I think once you pick with the horse in one spot that's it only counting one as I've tried manually picking in the same spot after picking 1 with horse and it didn't count. Definitely seems horse related then, which makes sense with it being part of the update.
-
When the original issue first came to light the solution you mention did sometimes work, sometimes not. But they fixed that a while back and I'd still get a 2/3 count from a spot of 4 anyway. With this new strain of the bug I'm just getting a 1 count regardless of what I do. Next time it comes up I'm going to try picking manually from the start rather than using the horse to see if that's contributing to this issue. I intend to open a ticket with R* support but have to wait to next time to gather video evidence. I just wondered if it was affecting anyone else.
