I don't really have any plans. I am not one to plan months in advance or set goals too far out of reach. I just take time week by week. I will be staying in and having Chinese for New Year's Eve, enjoying me some RDR2 online.

I watched this video a few days after he uploaded it, found it on my recommendations. I didn't finish it. He is right with some of this stuff but he seems a bit bitter. I can't imagine being a fan of gaming and being this disappointed in devs. He talked about it being harder to make games back then and it is easier now yet they still charge more.. This is hardly fair. Most games take longer and are more complex to make today. It takes an entire building of workers in some cases to develop one game. Releasing before it is "complete" is a way for them to test it and patch it. Again, another great option we have today that has made gaming better. I grew up on consoles, started playing on PC in the late 90's. I have experienced both and gaming is in a good place right now, at least to me.

Free roam events and moonshine deliveries no longer work
SageNinja replied to NeKryXe's topic in Red Dead Online
I had trouble with this but no longer do, as of yesterday anyways. I feel like Kean is right that we are all experiencing issues for different reasons. -
I am a bit tarty to the party but it happened to me so much I gave up. Decided to give it another try yesterday and was able to do it no problem without losing anything. Did they run a patch for this that I missed?

Assuming this is a PC related question, just turn down your graphics settings to low. Things won't look as nice but it should fix the problem. I can't remember the specific setting that deals with fire so just set everything to low and turn things up till you notice it crash.

I suck at most racing games and I do decent. You have to give it another try cause I think Dave might be right. People hack all sorts of things in the game on PC.
-
Yeah you are thinking of the first one. That one you play as Jack at some point in the story. I don't want to give spoilers though in case you haven't player it. Worth going back and playing if you haven't.

I can't remember having the option to customize it so I don't think you can but I wasn't looking to do it myself, so it might be. Not sure. As for the replay, in many cases you have to get something like that the first run through but you can try and see if it lets you grab it.

Will the next "seasonal" content not be till summer?
SageNinja replied to YellowDragon's topic in Red Dead Online
I wouldn't mind seeing some more rain/storm effects for the spring time. Maybe some additional hunting things added since spring is a common hunting season. -
I haven't had this happen for me but I also don't always do things with a posse. Most of the time I am alone. Maybe it was a glitch/bug? Unless they updated something and didn't mention it.

At first, I was able to do the moonshine missions, now they work maybe 50% of the time. The mission either auto-fails like you mentioned or I get a black loading screen that never ends.
-
Yeah I am not seeing any gators at all. Anytime I go online, it takes forever to find any sign of animal life. I have tried hopping servers which doesn't always work cause it keeps putting you back on the game one, but when I manage to get on a new one.. I don't notice much of a difference.

That is pretty sweet man. I always wanted to get a bike myself but no one I know cares about them and I just kept putting off getting my license. That makes sense you'd want everyone to have creative freedom within a set boundary. Being part of a clan/posse in any game takes work and direction. I wouldn't want to be a part of one where no one looked like they belonged to anything. -

Changing our horses on trade and delivery Wagongs

As of now, you get the stock ponies like mentioned. They might add variations or more options in the future so keep an eye out for that. -
Give it time. I feel like they will balance out. The game hasn't even been up there for an entire day yet. Most will start out mixed unless the game has no clear functioning issues. People likely got a bad taste in their mouths from all the issues they been reading about with the game too.

How to slam into people without getting on top of them
SageNinja replied to Voj's topic in Red Dead Online
I was curious about this and sent Rockstar a support message to see if something is up with it. I don't know when I will hear back but I will let ya'll know if/when I do! -
This year will be the first year that my family is kind of going to be split up. Some are going out of town, others moved earlier this year. It will just end up maybe being like 10 of us, if that coming together for Christmas. I don't mind it. We will be doing Christmas Eve with pizza and apps at my brother's and then we will be all at my parent's for Christmas Day for a family dinner. Oh, we open gifts on Christmas Eve as well.

Damn! I wish I saw this. Yeah I did end up buying it for him. He said he is going to start it this weekend. I will keep on him until he beats the game cause for me, the ending really drove the entire game home. I hated it and loved it at the same time.

I thought of another question and wanted to ask before I forgot! Are any of you bikers in real life as well? 🤔 -
Going to recommend this to my brother who I have been trying to get to buy RDR2 so he can play with me online. I think if he plays the first one, he will end up buying the second one. Heck, for less than $10, I'll just buy it for him and bother him till he plays it.

Those are all pretty good deals. I am going to be keeping an eye out for accessories mostly. I would like to get a new controller for my PC.
-
It seems fairly pointless to me. They could have easily made it more worth your while to use them but it just feels like you get so far, and people know who you are anywhere you go.
-
It is worth a try, just because it makes the game more challenging. I think there are a number of people these days who grew up with gaming and find games today to be "too easy".

Usually organized groups, call them guilds or crews, develop around games with a more involved RP component, like MMOs. Is it more challenging to keep a group organized in GTA Online/Red Dead Online than in traditional MMOs? What unique challenges do you face?
