  1. I just want those NPC's to dance properly when I shoot them in the leg, butt, arms, etc. lol. Some of the shots from here are pretty funny too - check out around the 50 second mark.
  2. I'm pretty easy as long as it's not pure drama or a rom-com. Anyone else excited about season 2 of Stranger Things?
  3. The last one sucked in resolution especially on PS3. As for other improvements whatever they can throw into what a console can handle I guess.
  4. Just found this rather optimistic chap that plans to do a speedrun in RDR: I typically hate the idea of speed runs in general (okay hate is probably a bit strong) only because they typically rely on glitches in the game. This however looks like a sincere effort to actually play through the campaign instead as quickly as possible without relying on glitches. Me likey! Also looks like a kinda useful guide to follow for anyone else wanting to do the same thing, here's an example:
  5. So I stumbled onto the Steam rockstar special currently going on and then I saw a gem that I enjoyed quite a bit back in the day: Manhunt. Anyone else here play it and really enjoy it? I know that the second one came around but we couldn't get a copy here locally (this was on PS2) but thinking back I kind of miss putting plastic packets over peoples heads!
  6. I do hope so! This is one of the very very very very....very very very very very few franchises that I'll ever consider that for. Hell I don't even own a PS4 yet but when RDR2 comes along you can bet I'm buying one (unless The Last Of Us 2 releases before then lol).

As long as you don't swallow them!
  8. Don't say such things! Don't even think such things. Don't dream about them, don't talk about them and definitely apologize right now dammit!

    Traps?

I like the idea. They could actually even include a mode where you could purchase traps, manned gattling guns, some wild animals etc. to make it almost into a tower defense style game mode. For each wave that you survive you score some cash, gain some experience and then get to unlock additional items to protect your turf. Possibly then also even have the reverse where you have to see if you can infiltrate someone else s fortress with your own gang.
  10. I get where you're coming from. Possibly something they could offer would be a game mode that adds these elements in with a separate stand-alone expansion of some sort - I'm thinking about Far Cry: Blood Dragon as an example, it didn't take itself too seriously (if at all), it was super funny, a lot of fun and also pretty cheap to pick up.
  11. I probably spent over 200 hours just messing around in GTA V (was probably something similar in RDR) so I have no idea how long I actually took to complete the campaign itself. Always hard for me to focus just on the campaign especially when you have such beautiful settings such as the one that RDR provided. Now how long do I think RDR2 will take to beat? Probably less than 20 hours. How long do I want it to take? 200 hours!
  12. Hmmm...I didn't play a lot online but I do agree that it would kind of suck if you were always visible to other users without actually being in their line of site (of course having a bounty on your head would be a different story). The whole point is exactly as you've mentioned: Wait until the sun sets and then carefully sneak up on a camp of other cow-folk. Wait for your gang to get into position. Signal and hopefully kill (or take hostages, we always need more women back at camp lol). I'll never forget when I did try to get into GTA V online: I was just screwing around exploring when this chap came up to me in that friekin' hard-core shielded car you get in "Trevor" country when playing single-player. I thought "hello friend!" and he thought "SQUASH". Of course I got a few shots off but I think they just bounced right off barely damaging his paint work. Now I know all players show on that map however it would suck if that was always the case when you go into some of the other game modes that I've not bothered trying.
  13. I want it so bad on PC I could shoot a horse. Sadly I voted No though for a PC release only because I think I know what Take-Two are thinking.

I crack my ankles (of all things). I also do it with my jaw (but I have other issues there like grinding my teeth while I sleep but I can't really control that). Probably the worst one I have is beer lol - I just can't get enough!
  15. Hahaha. So I was just reading some random stuff on reddit (hey, anything to not do any work find new information) when I came across this: Will Rockstar be present at Gamescom? redditors really crack me up sometimes. Any of you think we'll get something new about RDR2 at gamescom?
  16. burns.
  17. I'd actually quite enjoy it if Rockstar did this in a more realistic manner than what other developers have done in the past. Tubes that you can travel through, flying cars, etc. could make for quite an interesting game. Think Blade Runner, The Fifth Element, etc.

  19. Welcome aboard! Interesting to hear about the performance on PS Now. From what I've read is that the performance was actually better on xbox so you could also look for a used one and a copy of RDR on that to play too as an option. You can read more about it here. An XBOX One is maybe also an option if you want the best performance - read more about that here. Of course a PS3 makes more sense if you still have games for it but it might be worth looking around.
  20. They generally make games that I enjoy though so as long as they're releasing a new Bully, GTA, L.A. Noire (maybe not this one for a while) or something similar then I'll be happy after RDR2.
  21. I also think that the online modes are competition to the single player content. GTA IV had two expansions relatively quickly and this makes me sad that GTA V hasn't had any . We also were able to get Undead Nigthmare back then shortly after RDR2 but will a heavy focus on their online mode in RDR2 severely limit the single-player future content too? I really hope not.
  22. For kicks your viewing pleasure, first ride into Mexico.
  23. Without knowing pretty much anything at the moment I guess I'd have to say the one way they could ruin it was if they have it end when you've completed the campaign. I very much doubt they'll do this (like Fallout 3 did initially before it's expansions and DLC) but it would suck if they did. I'd also hate it if they didn't at least include enough enjoyable distractions (like gambling, side-quests, etc.) but instead made it purely about the campaign. Again something I don't expect but it would ruin it for me. Lastly the lack of any additional single-player content (expansion, DLC, etc.) that extends the game by adding more story (ala Undead Nightmare or similar story additions like what the included with GTA IV). They seemed to have really focused purely on the online mode for GTA V so this makes me think they might do the same with RDR2 which would be very sad if the main campaign turns out to be something special. I guess it comes down to their online focus with GTA V that has me a little worried for RDR2 and it's longevity for solo "offline" players .
  24. Also makes me wonder how far away we are from a new console from Microsoft/Sony. I don't expect a new one anytime soon however could we see something in the next two to three years? Would mean a new version of RDR2 no doubt mirroring what we saw with GTA V.
  25. Doubt sales will be a problem myself but I don't believe it'll see anything near what GTA V has managed for a LONG LONG time (if ever). A PC release shortly after the console release will surely boost sales though so it'll be interesting to see how it compares to GTA V, past GTA games and then of course the original Red Dead Redemption release.
