Not bad at all .. too much riding tbh, not a blur at all, did a lot of side missions too ... Really ... for me this game is more about the online and co op, just have to wait a while for that though sadly.

Ok....well at least I no who to come to if I get stuck or a question? lol happy gaming bro!

You do know fast travel is an option...

Yes, but only coach or the special map Arthur gets, but even that is very limited ... or have I actually missed something obvious .. remember red dead 1, you could fast travel from your fire/camp to anywhere, anytime

I found the horse riding to be over bearing once I discovered and unlocked the stagecoach. Once I started using the stagecoach, traveling for me was a breeze. Riding across the world is a pain and takes time, with the stagecoach, your across the world instantly for a small price.

Yeah, traveling is a big part of the game, as technology and transportation was very limited back then, but at least we have the option to travel city to city fast, so you don't have to ride across the entire world.

Two & half days, or, in actual hours, about 35/40 hrs

is that just for wizzing through the main story? I'm about 20+ hours in and 25% through the story so far, thats with concentrating mainly on missions

I've been playing since Thursday night release and still in Chapter 2. How did you avoid the bounties/law on you from the missions that put all that onto you without any warning or money to pay it all off?

I've always felt sorry for people who feed through games. I'll probably be enjoying this game for at least a month before finishing. I just don't understand spending $60 on a game and rushing through it. Do you do that with everything that's enjoyable in life? Sex, food, etc? Sure you can do multiple playthroughs and whatnot, but nothing compares to that first go around and experiencing it for the first time.

Eh, whatever. To each his own.

I blast the story mode in Rockstar games because I'm not a fan of them. My money's worth comes from freeroam. Don't feel sorry for us, kid.

I'm almost done with the story, and I seen a lot of things, and I'm not going to spoiler it, but @Benjo there is a lot of jaw dropping moments... THE STORY IS ****ING INSANE... this is probably the most epic story of all time man.

Like I've said in another post, I just hate the repetitive "Go to do the thing, thing goes wrong, have to kill 200 men from behind a rock, race back to camp and have to kill another 50 men who are chasing you." Really started to grate on me after the tenth time it happened, and little did I know there were another 47 missions after that which followed the exact same template. The story itself is good but the way they translated that into missions was abysmal.

I'm so into the story, I don't even recognize the template. Honestly, the only repetitive thing to me was the horse riding, but even that wasn't that big of a deal. It changes mission styles here and there, but the majority of the game is mass killing and running. That's what outlaws did, but man oh man, I am losing my god dam mind man, I can't believe the things I've seen in the story. I'm not sure how to tell you without spoiling the story to others, but oh my goodness I can't believe what I seen, and YOU know exactly what scene I'm talking about. What a crazy experience, I'm not done yet, I just started the epilogue.

Yeah definitely some gems in there, and the epilogue has some really varied and unusual missions throughout which is a nice change of pace.

Can't wait to to finish the epilogue, but I just can't get over what happened, I'm literally going crazy. The beginning of the story was very very slow, but once you get into Saint Denis, the story gets REALLY good.

On a related point, anyone see the kotaku article on RDR2s NPCs being too wooden?  Bit odd, and a bit harsh I think.  I'm actually fairly impressed with the detail of the NPCs and their 'memory' and responses, and the story elements/scripting and acting are excellent, IMHO.  I'm only a small way into the story and already I've had some genuine emotional kicks.  Interesting, funny, sad - a good variety of elements! :)

I completely agree with what they said. Everyone seems to be skirting around this but to me it's only a small step further than RDR1.
