YouTube has become an RDR2 spoiler minefield!

Be extra careful while browsing RDR2 topics and tutorials on YouTube.  There are tons of spoilers, especially in the comments. Some are clearly planted there to mess with your day, using one short line that you really can't help seeing even while quickly skimming over the list.  If you hate spoilers (who doesn't) I'd avoid the comments altogether!

Unfortunately spoilers are everywhere even in places you may not even think about. I was browsing the red dead wiki site reading up on some of the gang members thinking it would be perfectly safe. Nope. I came across a major spoiler on one of the gang members bios. If you want to absolutely make sure that nothing is spoiled for you I would suggest avoiding the internet altogether.

No suprise there, it's that way whenever a new game comes out.  It's why i never look at youtube for game tips or hints until i'm on my 2nd play through finding out what i've missed.  Forums like this or the online guides/tips pages are what i look at the first time playing through.

Best to almost ignore the internet entirely when you're trying to stay away from spoilers. The internet is just too dangerous when it comes to spoilers, which is why I pretty much ignored going online until I was finished with the game.

I don't give a flying squirrel about spoilers. My take is that "sensitive to spoiler" people have no business on the internet. :/

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure not to read any of your posts. So what I'm hearing is that if we want to use the internet we need to accept people being juvenile, antisocial di*ks.

So, by that standard, anyone who goes to the theatre to see a movie should just accept the ticket seller telling you the ending, after selling you the ticket, that's just the cost of going out. Society in general?, the greater world?... just accept people behaving badly into your life with a smile. Give up on standards of acceptability.

i was lucky and stayed away from anything until i beat the game

Yeah, that's pretty much the idea. However, most people interfere with spoilers when they are looking for help on a particular subject, and then that's how they usually get spoiled because when your looking for ideas and help and go into a discussion of the game, of course someone is going to let a spoiler slip.

I've intentionally been censoring with many RDR2 things on the Internet. For I do really enjoy all the various surprises a game has in store. Especailly when the game is good. Like this one is. I do sometimes have to search for help with this game when I get stuck, or don't understand how something works. That's how I found this nice place. I will sometimes to to see something spoilery, and have to close the window before I read too much. Google Fu can help, filter out what I see if I'm able to phrase my help question correctly. "How do I duel in Red Dead Redmeption 2" was one of the first things I searched for on google, needing help with that.

But yeah, spoilers can still show up in places you don't expect it. I was playing MGS5:TPP's multiplayer. There is a screen that you look at that shows other players bases you can try fighting with. And wouldn't you know it. Someone's player name had a spoiler for Fallout 4. The game had just came out. That players handle was ... spoiler alert
