We are all here because we will be buying RDR2.

So say the story mode is spot on, but the online mode is meh. Would that change your overall view of the game?

I voted depends. If the story mod is on the shorter side, then it will likely be a factor in my over all enjoyment but if the story line has enough then it likely wont. I am still looking forward to seeing what they do either way.

It depends, I am almost certain that the Story Mode combined with what I imagine to be a vast open world will keep me engaged and playing the game for a long time. If the online is anything like Red Dead Redemption's Multiplayer I'll probably sink a lot of hours into it but if it's anything like GTA Online I'll probably steer clear and stick to Story Mode.

I am going to say yes just because I fully intend on playing the game with friends. If the online aspect of the game is not decent, it will make the game feel a lot less worth it to me. Not to say that I wouldn't enjoy playing the story but come on... It is all about online now. Heck, some people just buy games to play the online/multiplayer version.

Depends for me. As it was mentioned, if there is enough in the story mode to keep the gaming feeling lengthy and not too short, I wont be bothered. I would also like a reason to play through it a second time. Maybe an alternate ending??

100%, if online is crap then I will only buy the disc version and sell it after finishing the game. Rockstar would shoot themselves in the foot and I know they wouldn't do this though.

If the online is complete crap, like Trump said then I will be doing the same. But I know it won't be. They have to make it as least as good at GTA V and people would be happy enough with that.

For me personally it's an easy No.

I tend to enjoy taking my time (when I have the time) playing through something solo that doesn't require me to be online. I played quite a bit of WoW back in the day and it eventually felt like a second job with all of the scheduled raids so joining a posse to enjoy content or even just compete in a death match style event isn't something I do anymore these days (also I have the reflexes of a twenty something year old poodle these days lol so I'd just get angry even trying).

Plus it'll almost be a guaranteed micro transaction infested affair in some way or another (at least in terms of trying to boost your virtual worth - sure you can connect and participate without spending anything extra but that would just be like being another fly on the turd pile). Since it would also require an additional subscription via Microsoft or Sony to actually even connect with I can definitely say that I have almost zero interest in the online modes whatsoever.

I voted yes. While I am more invested in the story, I do like being able to play online.

IF the online end was bad then I would likely just put off playing the game. I know that sounds stupid considering I want to play it and how badly I want to play it, but it would be my "strike" against Rockstar. They should know by now how to make a solid online game and what works and what we like to see. It isn't that hard to listen to feedback on GTA V and fix the problems then tweak it to be in a wild west setting.
