D3x Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Out of curiosity, who here has a retirement plan set? If you don't have one set up, do you at least have a gameplan heading forward into your later years? I know quite a number of players here are 30+.
Kormath Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 no retirement for me, with my student loans i'll be working till i'm about 85, or drop dead, whichever comes first
Dewy1314 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I just retired at 29 so my plan is fishing and Belize!
buttlint Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I've been retired for 7 years. I spend most of my time playing hide and seek with the old lady. 1

That made me legit laugh. Watching how my grandparents are together remind me of this. They are I am sure much older but still, he always teases her and calls her "old lady". She gets so mad too.

So then i had to laugh at the 'hide and seek' comment from @buttlint that's what they're doing now. Dad works a lot in the shop and mom does stuff around the house. My son laughs at them for texting each other when they could open the door or window and yell. But then again, he texts me from his room when i'm downstairs, so he doesn't' have much room to talk.
buttlint Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Be sure to get one of these bumper stickers when you retire. Your kids will LOL when they dump your ass outside of the Thrifty Acres Nursing Home.
Freddie Mercury Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Oh i don't know... Travel the world? Asia, Japan, and Sweden are the places i'd love to go to the most. Africa is another place i'd like to travel to.
mizTik Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Yes and no. I have an idea of what I want my life to look like after 50 but I am nowhere near setting things up for it to happen. I don't like travel so I will likely just take up some kind of volunteer work a few days a week to keep me active after I am no longer working.
ChrisCr0ss Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 My plans are simple. Don't get any major health problems. Live simple. Save up as much as I can... And hope there will still be a retirement paid out for people in my generation when I hit 60, 65.
danjou Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 i plan to travel. i already did in my younger days but still a few vountries i want to visit. i work 7 months each year so the later months i relax. my father had his own business so i will get quite big heritance for when i am older.
elmZ Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I really don't know. I haven't even considered that far in the future. I guess that can end up being a bad thing if I wait too long lol
DylBandit Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I really want a nice big private home by the lake with a 5 car garage. I want 2 race cars, 2 luxury cars, and 1 truck. I want my fridge filled with all the goodies and beer on hand at all times. I want to sit around and play video games lol

Not like the people on TV that are off the grid (a few miles off the highway), i mean really off the grid, like Morgan in the Mountain Men show, you get supplies once a month or so flown in to your location type off the grid. but then there's no internet, no streaming media, no xbox games.... yeah that wouldn't work, i'm too dependent on the grid maybe a week or so at a time go vacation off the grid. that i could do.
