So as most or maybe I should say all of ya'll know about this that you can't no longer bring up a RPG outta your underwear in RDR2,Arthur Morgan need some sort of bag to carry some extra stuff (just like those things in Special Edition) and in order for that to happen Rockstar is giving us this small cute handy bag but there's something really shady about it, "ONLY" two characters have this bag and they're Arthur Morgan and John Marston . Why in the world Rockstar should give a NPC something that only Arthur should have, It's definitely not just for the details because if it was why John should be the only one who needs more details? IDK man it's just a theory I came up with, let me know what you think about this

*ehem*

It's called a satchel.  Indiana Jones wears one.

Not sure. Looking through the trailers it's true I can't see anyone else with one of these satchels, and sometimes Arthur has one, sometimes he doesn't.

That looks like a lot like an assumption - do you have a source for that? Has it been mentioned in an interview or something?

I'm not suggesting JM won't be playable, in fact I've long assumed he would be, but this seems like a bit of a stretch as a pointer that he is.

I can see John being a playable character after the main storyline, perhaps part of a DLC story.

Or maybe we will get some back and forth between the two. Play as Arthur 70% of the game and John 30% of the game. I know it hasn't been mentioned officially but there is still a chance this can be the case, man bag bear purse or not.

Or maybe in Dutch's gang that is a symbol for a position of power, right hand man type thing.  You know only the most masculine males in the group gets to wear a purse the whole game.

I don't think this has anything to do with him being a playable character but GG on the creative thinking lol

A lot of men in the old west carried satchels like this for different items... food, water, ammo, tobacco, etc.

I was looking through pictures of the gang and what I have seen, these are the only two characters to actually have them so you may be on to something with this.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there were playable side missions for each member of the gang.

I was thinking something along the lines of DLC. Maybe we will get some packs that involve you playing as 1 to 3 gang members per story. This way we get a real feel for the entire gang outside of just seeing interactions from Arthur's perspective.

Seeing this trailer I'm not sure he will be playable. It's difficult to believe they will have him there all the way through the story mode, knocking around your camp and sitting by your camp fire and then have him suddenly playable. Although it would be a big twist that R$ could introduce. I just dunno.

Agreed.

Suppose Arthur doesn't survive the entire storyline . . . ?

I mean, what happened when John Marston died in RDR?  Right?
