  1. Having sex in the game or not doesn't really bother me, It never really caught my interest even in Grand Theft Auto. I guess its just something I'm not to concerned about while playing games.

  4. Thanks Benjo. RDR2.org is my last spoiler-free zone before the release tonight. I've had to abandon my other sources until then as they all started to reveal a wee bit too much for my taste. .....and thanks @Gswaynas I know your heart is in the right place in sharing this information with others.

  5. Once upon a time and only a few years ago, I had zero issues with Ubisoft. It took one game and them having terrible attitude towards their customers and worse treatment on their forums. I have zero interests in their pre-orders or their games. Rockstar in the only one I trust and even, then I have noticed I am a little reluctant towards their games.

  6. So.. the opposite of Ubisoft, then? Also, your new profile photo pleases me.

  7. I will be going to a friends house tonight and bringing my PlayStation 4 along, and we are all going to play on our consoles. Probably going to order some pizza and drink some beer.

  8. We are hours away from the release of Red Dead Redemption II. It's been over eight years since Red Dead Redemption was released and it is undoubtedly a gaming masterpiece, one that has stood the test of time but if Red Dead Redemption II is half the game it's cracked up to be I know I won't be returning to 1911 anytime soon so it's farewell to the older more repentful John Marston. John Marston's story of redemption was one of the greatest stories Rockstar has ever told, characters encountered throughout the game were often relatable and had a great level of depth to them. Rockstar's ability to write truly engaging characters is one of the reasons I'm greatly looking forward to Red Dead Redemption II. Below is a video tribute someone made to Red Dead Redemption using various scenes throughout the game all put to "In Time" by Mark Collie, I think it makes for a great watch but if you haven't played Red Dead Redemption don't watch the video below as it shows key scenes from throughout the story.

  10. Ah yes... The F13 forums. Once a sprawling place of innovative ideas and amazing people. But now it has turned into a ghost town. A shell of what it used to be. Such a shame really. I enjoyed the time i had on there, until it all went to sh*t.

  11. At the risk of being a sceptical old fart, toxicity in gamers seems to be a fact of life nowadays, hopefully they will be removed, blocked or ignored, as the majority are indeed "nice folk".

  12. What about a combination of ideas stemming from writers, written works and myth from the period. .....Brahm, Stoker, Shelley, Stevenson, etc. Maybe you fall into the role of a 19th century "monster hunter" of sorts with main characters that you need to defeat (Frankenstien, Dracula, etc.) but also other minions and victims that you encounter throughout the world. Voodoo in the Lemoyne region and yeah, maybe even zombies from legend. Just spitballin' here.....

  14. I just saw that everyone is posting the first 20 mins of rdr2 gameplay today, along with reviews. I can’t believe who would want to watch this. After two years of waiting and the day before release, they choose to show the beginning to everyone? I just feel that they are ruining the experience for those who have waited to see it first for themselves. Also, I see that some YouTubers are posting a lot more than the beginning on youtube, it just seems kind of insulting to release all of this in-game footage the day before the game comes out. Definitely will be staying clear of all of this and seeing it all for myself tomorrow.

  15. @Cokeyskunk you made me remember something funny happened this week: so i am getting ready to go to work, so is my lady, and and as always she is late and behind...So i started to watch a vid of the story of the development of red dead redemption. My lady barely understand english but she has heard "red dead redemption" many times over the years and specially this year with all the hype...and then she bursts: red dead redemption!! Red dead redemption!! Is all i hear in this house!!! Red dead redemption!!! I can't see the time when it gets released so i don't have to listen anymore "red dead Redemption"!!! Me: and i am up to here with your reality shows and the rundowns of the reality shows and the rundowns of the rundowns!!!... At the end...she took the car and i had to put on my spurs and walked to my job...like a true cowboy...

  16. The wait is officially over. With the dawn of October 26th in New Zealand, Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available and playable. 8 years after Red Dead Redemption, 2 years after the game's announcement, following several delays, the gaming event of the year has arrived. The reviews are in, and Red Dead Redemption 2 sits at 97 on Metacritic, earning it the "must play" status. IGN called it a "meticulously polished open world ode to the outlaw era" giving it a 10/10. Game Informer described the open world as "a technical triumph that every gamer should experience" and also gave the game a perfect score. Praise is universal, and the game that has been hyped up as the definitive title of 2018 is easily meeting the lofty expectations we've all built up. With the streaming embargo over, countless streamers jumped on their preferred platform to be among the first to broadcast footage of the game. You can check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 tab on Twitch just to see the sheer number of them, and the vast amount of viewers tuning in. In most places in the world, it is still the 25th at the time of writing. In spite of the streaming embargo being lifted, the local launches of the game are all geared to local timezones, meaning some of us still have to wait. If you can't yet play Red Dead Redemption 2, we'd suggest avoiding these streams due to the obvious spoilers you'd encounter. After all this time, the game is no longer a mythic thing to be anticipated, but it's reality and right here in our hands. No longer will news be hard to come by, and with the release of the game the floodgates of discussion and reporting have also opened. You can expect to see a torrent of guides and tips here at RDR2.org as well as an increase in news posts. The vast frontier has opened up before us - it's time to explore it with the Van Der Linde Gang. The post Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Finally Here appeared first on RDR2.org. Read the full story

  17. Dear all, Now that we are so close from the game being publicly released, critics and other people have the game for reviewing purposes. Right now, Red Dead Redemption 2 sits at a score of 97, which is currently the highest scored game on the PlayStation 4 of all time right now, but numbers could change when the game is fully released. Due to the fact we haven't had a game score that high ever, gives you a sign on how good this game actually is. A huge variety of gaming sites and critics gave Red Dead Redemption 2 a very high score including: IGN: 100% Cheat Code Central: 100% Guardian: 100% Digital Chumps: 100% Playstation Lifestyle: 100% Forbes: 90% GameSpot: 90% Game Revolution: 100% any many more... Personally, I think this game has the opportunity to very well be the game of the year, knowing how the major critic scores are looking. I think everyone will enjoy this awesome open world experience. Rockstar is the true innovators when it comes to open world experiences, and I think they have something very special for us when it releases very shortly. Anyways, comment down below on what your thoughts about the game being so highly scored, do you think this game will go down in one of the best games ever made in gaming history? I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions about this. Source: https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/red-dead-redemption-2/critic-reviews

  19. Yeah, I know how toxic some folks can be on forums and I know we will inevitably collect some of those along the way, but there is also a good management staff here which helps a lot. @CMcC I almost spit out my drink when I read that remark. 😄

  20. Yeah, sex in RDR2 was nowhere even on my check list of things I would have wanted. ....wouldn't care if it was in there either but certainly could care less that it isn't.

  21. There's only one reviewers opinion that i care about when it comes to games, and That's a youtuber called Worth a buy. Other then him. I don't care about all the big critics like IGN or Gamespot. R* and Santa Monica Studios(devs of God Of War) are the only two companys were i'll pre-order their games. Because i already know their games are going to be good

  22. After the whole "Coffee" incident with GTA San Andreas. I can see why they wouldn't. I can see your point, but as I said in another thread. To me it isn't needed for the game. I won't say Rockstar is a family friendly, but with our society being as sensitive as is about this kind of topic. I am sure that is a fight they don't want to have.

  25. I have super high hopes for the game, but until I play it, I have nothing to compare the other critic's ratings to. I will be able to soon enough though. I find usually the critics are well, very critical...so I figure if they are giving it those kind of ratings, I have even higher hopes and I am 99% sure I won't be disappointed. The most disappointing thing for me is that I have to move tomorrow and Saturday and after all this waiting and planning for the day of the release....I can't play it until Saturday night. It was devastating news!

  32. Just kidding. I was NOT a fan, but I don't begrudge folks who liked it. I like plenty of crappy things myself, like Carribean Jerk barbecue sauce on top of brownies. We all have our vices. Fixed that for you. He's always been one of my favorite fictional characters (alas, Mrs. Creed didn't bite on "Thrawn" as a name for either of our sons, but I did slip "Garrett" past her, and bonus points if you can sort out which fictional characters--there are two--that I took that from), and the two newer novels by Zahn have not only refined, but tremendously improved the character and his backstory. I love him so much that I DON'T want Disney putting him in anything else, because they'd inevitably ruin him the way they did Luke. THIS is what the TV show should have been. I'm sure the Mandalorian will be fine, but I would have paid for their subscription service without question if Rogue Squadron had been the TV show. Now, I'm in more of a "wait and see" mode with it. You're a funny guy, @Benjo, I like you. That's why I'm going to kill you last. I was on the fence after TFA, but I understood that they needed to do some world-building, and the only way they could get Ford back was to promise to finally kill of Han Solo, which he's been waiting 30+ years for. TLJ's failure in the service of Luke Skywalker is one of the biggest storytelling mistakes Hollywood has ever made. It's pretty telling when someone (me) could argue that the two spinoff films have been better than the main saga films post-Disney acquisition. Rogue One is my second favorite SW film, period. And Solo... I think that history is going to be kinder to Solo than we are now. It felt more "Star Wars" than either of the new Main Saga films--and I could go on for days about a technical discussion of why it's better than people want to give it credit for. @YodaMan 3D, if you're on Reddit, check out r/saltierthancrait (TLJ Haters) and r/MawInstallation (technical, academic discussion on SW, such as weaponized gravity well generators, ship class designations between Legends and the new canon, etc...) I think you'll like them.

  33. Enter an outpost like Ravenous. Have to solve a murder mystery. Figure out who the cannibal is. I do hope for some sort of ghost town experience. Whereas I am cool with zombies, they did already do that and Borderlands, and Call of duty, etc. I would enjoy something a bit more Lovecraftian.

  35. I’ve watched about 3 or 4 very short clips, no more than 30 seconds each. I did come across a video of him walking through the snowy mountains but I think it was of a mission so I quickly clicked off it (I am stronger than I thought!). I don’t mind short clips of non-spoiler gameplay but not missions.

  36. What still amazes me is, I still actually feel some excitement at the prospect of a new game .. happened with Destiny2, sadly that was a letdown at the time .. this though has me chewing at the bit, yes, agree, slower reflexes, but can afford stuff like elite controllers, they help a lot, awesome 100% wireless headsets with full surround sound, a chesterfield button back executive chair with swivel. rock, vibrate and is heated .. everything in 4K for awesome visuals ... old sucks indeed, so do everything in style, you can't take a wallet with you, fat or otherwise, f**k giving it to the kids, I earned it, I intend to spend it ... lol

  39. I watched some of the leaked gameplay but I didn't find it at all interesting to watch, it appeared to have been recorded on a potato and the dude playing either had no functioning fingers or had never held a controller before.

  40. I mean, if you're looking for immersion, it doesn't get more immersive than playing the game in first person mode, with the hud off, and using your phone as a map that you have to refer to when necessary. From a practical standpoint though, you're absolutely correct. There's no reason to do both when the convenience of everything on a large display is unmatched in terms of efficiency.

  41. The music is definitely a major part of the film. I mean it's really creepy music. I just meant watching it without the music makes it kind of like a different kind of spooky. Now....if we could get a descent Halloween video game, I'd really be thrilled!

  42. Have horse will travel .. thats the name of the company you call for your horse .. it arrives on a wooden wheeled low loader
    1 point
  43. Totally. I really don't want to see any kind of advanced technology - alien or otherwise - in an 1899 game. However, hunting a gothic band of vampires at night with holy and wooden weapons - THAT would be an AWESOME follow-up to "Undead Nightmare". Hell, it could be called "Unholy Nightmare"! . . . wish I were getting paid for this. 😒

  44. But... how will we have glue if we don't send those corpses to the glue factory? Also, horse is good eatin'--I won't resort to cannibalism, I'm not a monster. That said, Bropollo's Corpse Wall Emporium only deals in 100% Genuine Human Corpse Walls. Effective as both a matter of practical defense and an incredible deterrent to morale, our Corpse Walls are guaranteed to be the most effective form of psychological warfare since Russian forces attacked the Swedes by flinging plague-infected corpses over the city walls of Reval (Tallinn) in 1710.

  45. I, honestly, would love to see them doing a storyline with an infestation of vampires. I mean, technically they're still "undead," but it's very different having to battle a cunning, logical, evil group of monsters who are actively converting the whole area -- than just a bunch of shambling dead guys creeping toward you trying to eat you. Think about the fun angle of this: gaining specialized wood-firing weapons, joining a posse of vampire hunters, finding their lairs, having to use holy water, crucifixes, stakes and -- if you can -- throw them out into the sunlight. And, if you get bitten, it starts the clock: there's only one cure -- and you have to race to reach it before your vampirism takes hold. Seriously. HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE??!! Uh, I always considered "Undead Nightmare" to be an alternate reality. Sort of a "what if?" version of the game.

  46. Fair point. I guess we will see how it goes. Gotta hope for the best and be prepared for the worst if anyone is intending on buying this game with intention of playing online as part of the value factor.
