  1. Out of map Guarma youtube video I just found very recently this video and I made succesfully my journey to Guarma with the help of this video. Basically you need a friend who will help you to get started with this glitch. Your friend needs to hogtile you and then go to firstperson camera. He will then carry you next to wall of mountain in location found in video and you will then free yourself. Once you do this you will get inside/through the wall. Just follow the steps found in video. I would say it took around 30-45 minutes the journey from this location to Guarma. And you will manage to have your horse when u are near Guarma. But most of the Journey u will do walking/running. Also swimming across river. But it was well worth there are tons of exotic birds, green iguana and craps, also camp from story mode and locations where you participated missions in story. I was around 2,5 hours in Guarma and I was not disconnected from servers. And u can die when u are in Guarma and still spawn there. About Cougar location. When you enter the point I marked on map there is very high change that a cougar will spawn. Make headshot with Bolt Action Rifle for perfect carcass and pelt. You are just abt 30 seconds ride from Butcher. Sometimes Cougar will spawn immediately when u enter back to the point but sometimes there is short delay. U could hunt bisons meanwhile u wait for Cougar to spawn.

  2. Most here have probably played a fair chunk of online now, and maybe have learned stuff they wish they could have been told when they first started. What tips would you pass on to new players? My top ten: 1) Getting the UE bonuses is a really big boost in a game so grindy: having a nice horse, varmint rifle, shotty and level boost from the start is fantastically beneficial. If you plan to spend some time online and can afford the UE do so. 2) Take your time in character creation and watch youtube tutorials beforehand - it's not easy to get exactly what you want and some options are easily missed. And don't be generic - many players have barely distinguishable characters. Be different. 3) Complete the main story missions as a first priority. You will do 75%. Then to do the remaining missions you have to either drop/raise your honour level accordingly. There is no benefit to having high/low honour besides the buckle, so you might as well go max/min all the way to get them (and the small reward). 4) Things that are important to purchase as soon as you can are: varmint rifle; some type of shotgun; good horse; fishing rod; river lure; improved rifle (either Lancaster Repeater or Bolt Action); horse insurance; gun upgrades. Useful but not essential are: bow; improved horse tack; cold weather clothing; off-hand holster. Things to regularly carry are: ammo, horse reviver, hay for horse, tonics, cooked meat in satchel, ginseng, chewing tobacco or similar, gun oil. Eat only food cooked/found and clean your own weapons, manage your own horse. Buying food, horse servicing, and getting guns cleaned are rip-offs. 5) If you plan on playing with mates regularly and plan on having a permanent posse, then it is better to invest in one sooner rather than later, make yourself the leader and reform whenever you play. 6) Play around with all the various settings right at the start. I strongly suggest muting chat and locking your horse to posse only. 7) Trolls exist. When joining a session crouch to get off radar, check the map. Avoid areas with multiple pink dots, especially ones with posse leaders. Some areas, especially Valentine & Blackwater are notorious for getting griefed, especially near butchers. Avoid other players as much as possible, taking detours if necessary. If you die you lose carcasses and pelts on horse; if horse dies, select heal option in menu to get them back. Be very careful how you approach butcher, esp when loaded - best to ride further to a quieter town if needed. 8 Overbuy ammo from catalogue (not in gunsmiths) and keep supplies available to pick up from any post office to restock. 9) PvP Series Matches are often quite brutally hard. Best weapons are: Varmint rifle (head shot kills); shotty; bolt action. A suggested load out to cover all ranges is: dual wield sawn offs + varmint + bolt action. 10) The grind is real, and unless you are able to sit doing one activity over an over, it is suggested that a varied approach to grinding works well. Construct a route on your map that starts off with a stranger mission (xp), then ensure you do fishing (best money source + health rank up); hunting (bird hunting is good money, game for meat for cooking, plus xp); herb collection (sell at doctor); shack ransacking (good for consumables like tonics and gun oil); and gang hideout clearance (xp + consumables + chance at treasure map), making sure you end with access to butcher, doctor and ammo supplies.

  4. You got that mixed up. The Springfield has more damage but not by much and the bolt reloads and fires faster.

  7. Ok so y'all were right, while not the hardest challenges these are by far the most frustrating. I have now played a total of (since I started keeping track just to see anyway) 318 hands since I got my first winning 3 hit hand. Couple other stats on this just for fun - the player before me has hit 3 or more times in one hand 16 times. I've lost 9 hands with 3 hits in this 318 count (and climbing). The player before me is retarded and hits, taking my low cards when he'd be safe not to hit, so I then bust on the 2nd hit but could have completed a 3 hit hand and won 5 times. Which is probably what caused these stats lol 57 players have been shot in the forehead 24 players have been shot in the chest 13 dealers have been shot in the forehead 11 tables have been blown up by Dynamite causing 44 possible deaths (if the 3 players and dealer all died) Arthur has died 3 times in blackjack related shootouts Yes this is all in Van Horn, since I can't use weapons in Rhodes. And I've had better luck with the dealers in Van Horn. Wonder if it's from them knowing about their predecessors?

  8. An official statement has been made by R* regarding questions by players about potential online progression resets either during or at the end of Beta. The Red Dead Online official Beta Status Update can be read here in it's entirety, but I've chosen to sticky the thread and post the relevant portion below to provide as much clarity as possible. From the release (emphasis mine): December 4th, 2018 Update: We appreciate all the continued feedback we are receiving on the Red Dead Online Beta. For players concerned about the potential for progress and stat resets, we currently do not have any plans to reset them as part of the Beta’s rollout. We are currently still working on game stability and economy balancing for an update that we hope to release later this week. Please stay tuned for more news to come. This is in no way a guarantee as to whether or not R* will reset online progression at the end of Beta--the statement is carefully worded to only cover the Beta's rollout, and NOT the "Gold" or "Live" version of the Red Dead Online experience. I would caution each and every user to take this information under advisement, but to date, I would note that R* has not officially stated a position on the intent for the changeover from Beta to full release. The only thing the statement clarifies is the intent to avoid a progression wipe during the lifespan of the beta. Once the beta has concluded, we do not know what the current intent of R* is regarding player progression.

  9. You can't report what is allowed in the game by design and unfortunately, the way R* set up their online experience, trolling is perfectly acceptable. On the other hand I have reported players for vulgar, verbal threats and racist remarks. .....and I would encourage others too as well. I usually choose an area like Ambarino to spawn in. I will immediately crouch when I arrive, ready my weapon, move (while crouched) to cover, look at my minimap for other players and then the big map if there is no immediate threat. I will observe other players / posses to see what they are doing on the map and take note of those who appear to be trolls or active in PvP engagements. I then call in my horse and make a plan of where I want to go and the things I plan to do. When solo, I simply plan my routes around other players. ....especially any of those I noticed were engaged in combat with other players. I also look for areas on the map that are mostly empty. I always keep an eye on my minimap and as soon as I see a pink dot, I open the big map to see where they are and get an idea of what they are doing. I adjust my route as needed. When hunting, I will usually plan a route to a vacant town (with a butcher) and then hunt along the way. However, I'm also flexible as some destinations can become active during the time it takes to get there. In those cases, I simply select another that isn't. To be honest, it is rare that I am attacked when playing alone and it will typically happen as I spawn in (depending on where I choose).

  10. Stage 1: Prevention. Avoid known trouble spots, like Valentine and Blackwater. When newly spawned always crouch, hide and map. Toggle horse settings to posse only and turn off chat. Check map for pinks and avoid, take detours rather than encounter. Be in a posse, watch each other's backs, always look tough and ready for a fight. Be extra vigilant when carrying pelts or nearing a butcher. If you have to pause, be in a shop. Stage 2: Engagement. If lassoed, break free and shoot. Have solid weapons, like sawn offs or varmint or Lancaster, upgraded, loaded, clean, and ready to roll. Keep your eye on pinks at all times. Trust no one. Be good at head shots - adjust auto aim settings and practice if needed. Stage 3: Grief the griefer. Be prepared to kill them four or five times if necessary. Be ready after just killing them, they'll probably be out for revenge. Kill their horse. Stage 4: Walk away. It's just a game, you respawn, your horse can be healed, and you can just go to menu and go to another server far way from the troll that's been hassling you. Often it's not even worth getting into a fight, just let them kill you and walk away. Who cares? If you want, report them or name and shame them here online. Don't ever let bullies force you out or off the playground. It's yours as much, if not more, than theirs.

  11. They already do it in RDR2 too I've also sent a few trolls packing after they got a taste of their own medicine. I go to add them to my block list and discover their gone. .....only had a couple hit and runs though. Most will keep up the fight once they had a taste for blood. ......but while they can dish it out, they usually can't take it. I have also quit sessions to deny trolls the satisfaction.

  12. Are you sure you didnt buy a new one? If you it X to form posse then that buys you a new one. You gotta hit A on your posse in the list of all posses and then hit "reform posse"

  13. Ok, so I just spent half an hour wandering through StDenis getting very drunk and beating people up. No police ever got involved, I looted everyone, my honour barely moved, and I had a great time! . Oh dear ...

  16. @WEREWOLF66 This is one thing I'm worried about. I know I still need 3 weapons, and that's really the only thing that I could've missed that's also a completion requirement. Just did a quick google search and found this: http://www.powerpyx.com/red-dead-redemption-2-all-weapons-locations/ Not sure how accurate/complete it is, but it's a start. I'll check it against the guide at some point if I remember. Good luck on 100%!

  21. I'm currently at rank 34 and I have 3k money and have done every missions multiple times and explored entire map. I needed something new stuff to do for entertainment and this Guarma thing helped with that lol. I made this topic in purpose that if someone is in similar position like me that they need to do something completely different then there is this Guarma thing available. If folks need some cash then there is this easy method with cougars in Blackwater.

  22. They do take some time to respawn and it seems a little random. I have found a few and been running around trying to get the maps. The other day someone I was running with said once it's cleared, you have to wait a level of progression before it respawns and another disagreed and they argued cause neither could prove their point. So I left the group.

  23. Nah, I think trolls deserve it. I just wish I could somehow force them to watch me do horrid things to their bodies before I chuck them on the bonfire.

  24. Yes, sure Yodaman - but I never drew any weapon at all. I left my long arms on my mount, and just ran around using my fists. Took on ten dock-workers at one point and battered the lot of them! Not a peep from the cops. I rugby tackled NPCs from behind - no one did anything except run away scared. Only once did someone turn into an eye and say they were going to get the law - so I beat them unconscious too. so long as you dont kill anyone and just knock them out, everyone seems ok with it

  25. This game is looking to improve greatly with the overhaul that Rockstar is doing on it. Don't wait any longer to find a great group of people to play with come check us out and sign on up.

  26. Yeah, but if you accidentally shoot a cop that get in the way. You will feel the full wrath of the law in St. Denis. I happened to be riding through and still had my gun drawn, bumped another rider. Shots was exchanged and as civilians ran for their lives, a cop walked out into and got shot. POOF! They spawned everywhere. There was a couple players nearby that got shot at, I was feeling really bad. I got outside of town, crossed 2 bridges and thought that I was scott free. Headshot dead. Apparently, St. Denis has a S.W.A.T. team with a sniper. hehehehe

  27. That's a fine list you've done mister. I'm usually just wandering around the map getting killed by other players (have encountered some decent ones also) and playing the story missions over and over again. I tried doing the stranger missions, but they were broken for me as I couldn't start them after the first cut scene with the quest giver. Sent R* a ticket and got a response that they are aware of that problem with stranger missions.
    1 point
  28. Ah, gotcha I'm not sure it would make much of a difference since you can already choose to respawn or just reload into a different sever for the same effect (perhaps even more aggravating). At least with a suicide option you can desecrate their corpses.

  29. I don't think you get a reward for each fish. I think it was something like 1,2,5, and 10. You do get a reward at the end (this was the last thing I did last night) and the chance to catch another fish (which I'll be attempting tonight). A day or 2 after sending in the last fish, you'll get an invitation in the mail to visit the "fisherman". It was cool to see his cabin, he has all your fish on display.

  40. I don't mind censoring swear words because a lot of websites rely on clean boards to earn through ads (Google is one that doesn't like swearing... big surprise right?)... But when sites start pushing their own agendas through and silencing people over simple disagreements that is just being an internet bully like you said.

  41. @Mazier_Drave has that been successful for you? I never had much luck with a canoe. Last time I tried it I was flung into the air after catching a fish, then the canoe sunk... Always had better luck on the shore.

  43. The fish spot is still good, tried it a few hours ago. Leaving the area with my horse and returning worked and the fish re-spawned. Yes they lowered the prices but it is still a good way to make some income. I gather all fish and any small animals found in the area and on the way to valentine and in 15 minutes I made around 90 dollars. The cougar spot is valid also, I haven't done it in online mode, but I remember getting always attacked at that spot when returning to my farm, which was right next to that spot.

  46. So I shot at and thought I hit an animal, walk up to it laying there. It an opossum and as I got closer it jumped up and ran away! What?? The level of detail is crazy. I am galloping along heading to St Denise. A laymoyne raider stops me to collect a toll. Carriers on about how riding the roads aren’t free....so I shot him in the head. I look down at my phone and I hear Arthur say, “guess you told me”...I died laughing.... I love this game!
