  1. Funny that I predicted in the other topic, that instead of fixing issues and improving anything. They would just add more clothing and a new pvp mode. The ****ING ANIMALS!!!! WTF This is getting tiresome. Whats the point of these damn 'Free Aim' pvp modes, treating them like special pvp modes. There needs to be a FLAT OUT FREE AIM mode for everything, especially FREE ROAM. And if R* wants players to even remotely care about pvp modes, they need HOSTED lobbies with options.. with private lobby options. PVP in RD O could be extremely popular, if they stopped treating it like they do. And the role playing players need private lobbies. And at this point, theres enough clothing in this game to last for years. *Hudawg still beating the dead horse? Nope, im still waiting for the horse to wake up..:D

  2. I wouldn't put your chips behind you "predicting" this as a big "I told you so" as MANY of us expected this. Rockstar has set the drip feed schedule likely months ahead of any unforeseen bug fallouts and they're just simply rolling through their schedule as planned. Rockstar for some reason is as transparent as a big red broadside of a barn and doesn't reveal sh**. They just drop stuff in our laps and see how we respond. The responses are always the same." We're bored and need new content" > *NEW CONTENT!* But there's a catch! It doesn't work! > "I can't wait until Rockstar fixes it" > *Rockstar very slowly fixes it but breaks something else* > "We're bored and need new content"... I know its coming time for me to roll away from RDO for a quick break. I have a few friends who I've talked to about playing RDO again since before the Spring update and I can't say it's time to log in and dig in just yet. The glitches outweigh the fun aspects lately. It shouldn't have dropped the "beta" title yet. And on topic regarding the new clothing... everything but the boots is atrocious. We've really been lacking great clothing items. Yeah the Outlaw Pass gave us the Rexroad stuff, and John and Arthur's standard outfits but for some stupid reason you can't separate each individual item making them as useful as the "role outfits" where you really only want it for the hat.

  3. I feel kinda bad. I had two people level 15 and below come into my camp. They proceeded with taunts and the usual. I waved and was nice but it kept going. So I fired a few warning shots. When that didn’t work, I lowered my flag and shot both with dynamite arrows. I may have been a bit harsh, but was getting annoyed.

  5. I think this is their way of keeping people distracted long enough for them to buy time because they don't know what the hell they are doing over there. lol

  6. I think it is pretty shitty that we have to worry about playing online games because of people like this. I shouldn't have to mute other players to avoid them. I shouldn't have to worry about a girlfriend or spouse playing the game with me. This kind of stuff makes me sick and honestly disappoints me when it comes to the gaming community as a whole.

  7. I probably would have used regular ammo... Maybe gunned them down with my new Navy’s or the krampus... Another thing I like to do with people that just annoy me is hogtie them, toss them onto their own horse and tell it to flee. It doesn’t last too long but it’s funny... Dynamite arrows a bit much, but they’re your arrows. Have fun LOL

  8. I noticed the snow was gone yesterday. Soon as I logged on, it was pouring rain. How ironic. LOL Like I said, I enjoyed it and don't mind them doing it like this next year.

  9. When I do play, which is not as often these days, I will hop in and out of lobbies until I find one with less than 6 people. That is the only way I can do the lobby missions without being blown up by someone on one of them flying bikes or an attack jet.

  10. Welcome to the forum, glad you like it here and it is nice to see new people signing up. Come the finish, I am sure you will fully enjoy the story as well. It is one of my favorites in terms of gaming.

  11. R* has already said many months ago that they have no interest in splitting up the player base in Free Roam at least for the foreseeable future. That means no private sessions, hardcore / free aim lobbies, etc. Right, wrong or indifferent, that's just the way it's gonna be for now. Personally, if I were as passionate about free aim, I would see these FA events in PvP as a good sign that they are perhaps quite popular that could eventually lead to a hardcore / FA session in the future if they ever decide to go that route. Fixes continue that they are able to implement on their end. We only tend to see those that they have to push to the players in the form of hotfixes, TUs, etc. Often, we never hear anything from R* about those tweaks, changes and fixes they make behind the scenes. It's not until the community notices something. IMO, the feedback is extremely important and I think that some of the changes they have made over the last 1+ years has show that they do listen to the input. Many of the popular requests have been implemented in mechanic changes, etc. As for fixes, R*'s communication has always been lacking in this regard but I think it's vital that people still submit their feedback and problems to them.

  12. Also: the lantern is married to the saddle you put it on. You can remove it from the original saddle, but can't move it to different saddles.

  14. Good call @HuDawg !! Can't say I didn't see this coming but I am getting reports that disconnects are much less than yesterday and legendary bountys are paying triple gold and cash when running hard mode.

  15. Players be like "FIX YOUR GAME"! "Improve what you have". R* be like "Heres some new hats, clothing and a new pvp game mode".

  16. sorry man, unfortunately your choice has been made... however, I would say it's the best moneymaker when things are working right, which it is not in it's current state... hope and pray for a server with 15 players or less. Hopefully the the rockstar development team return from their month long sabbatical soon and realize their game is currently a steaming pile of horse manure

  17. Between the holiday, Twitch Prime, and WR club, my camp box is stuffed with food, specialty ammo, tonics and other sundries, my pistol is updated to the Navy from the money I saved/was given, and I have a nice scoped bolt action rifle for hunting, let alone the collector role for free, all by level 11, and I'm a (currently very casual) PC player. Couldn't be happier other than finding a good group of friends to run with and a few bug fixes. What more goodies are you talking about? Not greedy for more, but curious.

  18. i understand your frustration sir , first you have few options either block them via PSN so u wont encounter these guys again , then report them to rockstar u can record their chat with ur ps4 , and also dont expect better , you are in an online game with ropes , knife , and dynamite and free roam PVP , Nothing good can get out of this ... u have option to go in defensive , join story mission pvp match and leave in lobby , or do another parley and fast travel far away

  19. I would strongly suggest you report them using the R* Support website. They suggest going through the Social Club but to be honest, I don't know exactly where to do this through that site. I would simply open a ticket and let them know they used racial slurs and threats / suggestions of suicide. I am sure someone will respond with instructions how to report this or perhaps they will handle it from there, provide suggestions, etc. In either case, most gaming companies take these types of things quite seriously although this may be a case of he said/ she said given there is no evidence. Next time I would suggest taking video evidence if possible as that would provide the proof you need for them to take action. If you're on XB1 or PS4 and they send you a message with slurs, threats, etc., you can submit that through MS / Sony and they will act definitely on it as mentioned. ......but I wouldn't go at of your way to bait anyone as that could blow up in your face as I've seen it happen to people before. To be honest, none of this is worth spending any more time in the game putting up with this kind of behavior. As @HuDawg said, you're simply giving them what they want. When you leave the session without saying or doing anything, they are left with nothing but perhaps a brief satisfaction of driving you away I guess. .......but when you give in and especially express your frustration, hurt feelings, anger, etc., it only invites more of the same behavior. In fact, it can also escalate to more harassment by them trying to follow you between sessions, etc. XB1 and PS4 have features that can help mitigate this kind of harassment and I would suggest using those if possible. I always block players like this so they cannot send me messages, join my Communities, see my activity, etc. It may not prevent them from being in the same session in the future but I've never ran across someone I have already blocked so I don't know (PS4). I will say that if anyone ever follows you to this forum (it has happened), let me or one of the other mods know ASAP. Report any PMs, posts ,etc. and we will take care of it. The owner has a zero tolerance policy regarding harrassment, personal attacks or any kind of behavior like that against our fellow members.

  20. Thanks! And yes sir - Hell on Wheels ... I even named my RDO character Cullen Bohannon ... and that’s cool but IMO your brother should have switched to the PS4 with you... lol ... I kid, of course .... 😂

  21. I logged in a couple of mornings ago and found my camp right where I left it near Big Valley. As I rode out to look for animals to hunt I was astounded by how many there were. I could barely go a couple hundred yards from camp before I would come across herds, yes really, herds, of deer (4-6 at a time) or pairs of Elk, everywhere. At one point, as I road out once again after dropping off pelts, I immediately ran into a Cougar and was lucky enough to get the drop on him before he could get the drop on me. Nice! Riding back, I see a black bear across the narrow river and begin to head his way. Suddenly, I am set upon by 4 wolves, seemingly spawned in out of nowhere. I dispatch them quickly enough and see the black bear beginning to make a hasty exit. I fire at him and hit, he drops immediately. I am still on this side of the river from him and from behind me I hear a blood curdling ROAR. Not 5 feet from me is a big beastly Grizzly Bear and it's at this point my luck runs out. The monster gets a hold of me and I am dead in seconds. Luckily, I didn't lose the cougar. So, in one outing from camp, in a span of about, maybe, 2 minutes I ran into a Cougar, 4 wolves, a black bear and a Grizzly. It was glorious! I told my wife, "This is why I love Read Dead!" Afterward I continued to hunt for a couple more hours and made 2 or 3 full deliveries. Then, after a while, I noted the first blue blip on my radar. Then another, shortly after. Within a half hour of their arrival on my map all of the animals dried up. That was about two weeks ago or so. I haven't been able to fill one wagon since. /sigh Come on R*. This is such a great game. When it's working. Please fix it.

  22. You might be able to find the rifle in the mission when you replay it, but I doubt that it'll be transferred to your main game. The purpose of replaying missions is to get them marked as completed, or to get the silver/gold medals. You'll have probably noticed that when replaying missions, you start with a very basic horse and loadout (so that you can't ace the earlier missions using upgraded or superior weapons). I feel that the only way to get the rolling block rifle into the main game is to revert back to an earlier save point.

  24. Don't forget you can disable game chat through the free roam menu, under the online options tab. Make it posse only, friends only, etc... I also know that reporting through Xbox ( not sure what your on) does get them banned from chat pretty quickly. Send a message telling them to leave you alone, and when they respond with hate messages, report it. They'll be banned real quick. From communications anyways. Also, play offline, and switch sessions, and they can't follow you. Xbox.

  26. They are doing the same on PS4..... pisses me when I’m trying to do my dailies .... I base my aggression on the moment .... it’s comical when they press charges and/or parlay .... that’s another thing I wish could be corrected .... if a player starts the conflict they shouldn’t be able to parlay ....

  27. I had given them multiple warning shots prior. It was a waste of arrows in hindsight. Sadly it seemed the more warning shots , the more obnoxious they were. I’ve noticed a lot of low levels attacking people on Xbox lately. Happened to me brother multiple times. I appreciate the input!

  28. Your camp your rules. I personally would not shoot someone for entering my camps and doing emotes. If they start shooting things in my camp, then I would shoot them. Because I usually only hang out at my camp when rolling doobs or cooking sh*t. Either way, im usually baked at my camp, and emotes are not really a threat. Loud gun shots going off non stop.. Or if they kept pointing their guns at me. That would drive me nuts, and I would have to re-act to it. Wasting dynamite arrows on lvl 15 tho.. That's a huge no for me. Id rather just fist fight them or bola/hot tie them.

  29. Nope. I'd have shot em too. They can respawn. Game has made me cold hearted recently I'm MUCH more likely to shoot first anymore. "Welcome to red dead noobs!"

  30. Some people do seem to be insanely good at racing - especially the ones with lots of random targets/checkpoints to hit in any order. There are various places on the net that show you optimal patterns to follow. If you just make it up as you go along (like I do) you're likely to be 2+ minutes behind an optimised map-racer. The straight-out point to point races are more of an equaliser. I've won my fair share of those, primarily by (1) having a quick horse (2) ignoring weapons and other players (3) riding hard and (4) not getting unlucky with a bullet in the back of the head.

  31. That’s a bingo!!! The agents carry good shiznit..... sometimes I will run the risk of the time running out on the mission because I’m looting every single one of them ..... also I’ve seen nothing offensive.... it’s a game, for one, and its open world that gives many options for the play style you prefer .... some are outlaws, some are not ...... some are looking to do everything the easiest way and that’s cool too, even though i don’t like that because without the challenge, what’s the point? Wish there was a “hardcore” lobby or something that takes out all of the easy way out options, no defensive mode, etc ....
    1 point
  32. I have not noticed an issue. Maybe you just suck at racing? I mean no hate here but some people just aren't good at it. I am usually great at racing games having owned several over the years.
