Well, if he wouldn’t leave his soup in the sun, he wouldn’t have to stop short and take care of his digestive issues...2 points

Don't get yourself down over this bud. Lag switching , aim bot , God mode , all are real and I can go in PvP and get a 15 kill 2 death match and then the next I'm 3 kill 9 death. Can't put my finger on what changes but it seems each different mode favors a different weapon. Try to use as much cover as you can and play it like you only have 1 life. Let the tankers run to middle and get blown up. Most important is that your enjoying yourself. If it gets frustrating get out of there and play in free roam awhile till your back to center.2 points

It shouldn't take me 6 months to top the role out but at the same time I shouldn't be able to top it out with a power push over a grindy couple days over the weekend either.2 points

Now that you mention it, it would be fun to have Old Cripps tag along when you’re running solo1 point

Funniest glitch I had, some time last week, was when I fast traveled from camp to the moonshine shack, and somehow Cripps tagged along. He wandered off into the woods near the shack, so I shrugged and went inside. Started a moonshine delivery. The checkpoint was quite close to the start, got stopped and attacked, and yup, old Cripps showed up near the end to help out with the last few revenue agents. That amused me.1 point

What do you think is taking too long in the game besides bug fixes and patches? I have found everything quick and easy.1 point

I knew you would enjoin, thanks for the heads up. I get online is online but I saw nobody mention my OP topic and you have brought it full circle....looking forward to more of your update posts.1 point

Thank you everyone for your replies. So if it's really lag it must be lag with approx. every second player in literally every Takeover-session. Why does the lag always work in advance for the opponents? The PvPs get even worse when a whole crew builds a team. No chance to even stay alive for more than 5 seconds. I have also considered cheaters even though it is allegedly hard or even impossible to really hack the PS4. There are glitches according to other players and some internet sites, though. But that would mean that half the players used glitches. Speaking of auto aim (which I prefer, to be honest), I've noticed that whenever I take strong tonics I get a headshot and therefore instant kill whereas I get a kill by only two or three bodyshots when I don't take tonics. Could it be that there is a cheat or glitch that automatically gives a headshot when the other player actually could not be killed by a bodyshot instantly? Whenever I ask an opponent how it is possible that he or she killed me despite my cards and the tonics they respond that they have the Paint it Black card. Well, I used to have this card activated too, yet I never killed another player with just one shot. When I ask them why I couldn't kill them with even a whole magazine and a Pumpgun, they say "because of my cards and the tonics". Yet they can't explain why my cards and tonics actually have no effect. And often they get cheeky and call me loser. Yes, there must be cheaters on PS4, too. Two weeks ago I encountered a rank 15 player killing me with one shot from an Evans rifle. I asked him how this was possible and he claimed to have used explosive ammo. Explosive ammo is impossible in an Evans, not to mention that at rank 15 he couldn't have had the recipe yet. Now, two weeks later, he had a rank of almost 300. However, I also consider the possibility that something is wrong with my account, a bug or something.1 point

Not sure. I haven't been following the progress on the MS side to be honest since I'll be buying a PS5 regardless. For RDO I think it's stored on their end if I'm not mistaken. .....for the campaign there are save files that are stored locally and backed up on their servers. Perhaps someone can chime in that knows more about it.1 point

and a further apology @LOFTYKAY as it totally slipped my mind as to how I obtained such a warchest of tonics. not sure when you started playing, but back in the good old beta days, you could loot a location.... reload via the free roam option.... and all of the loot would respawn... rinse and repeat until your inventory was full... locations with jewelry, which is what I was after, also generally have a good amount of tonics and other goodies. would do so whenever I stumbled upon a location with good loot... have never had to use any of the tonics gifted by rockstar due to this. seasoned big game meat and rarely playing pvp modes as for the $4 however... my fast travel tab would probably make you puke1 point

In Free Roam, there is only auto-aim. There are no other session options at the moment as their vision for Free Roam doesn't currently include implementing such. That's not to say that they won't at some point as they have left that door open in past interviews. Currently, free aim is only available in the form of PvP events.1 point

For me, I struggle most times I am on to find animals to hunt and it has been this way since like the 2nd week (on PC). Console I noticed I would have dry spots but it was never long lasting like this.1 point

Sorry @Kean_1 and @LOFTYKAY I'm just saying but are we playing completely different games?? Level 209 here... never had to purchase a single tonic in game and probably have over 100 of each type in my lockbox ... currently I could consecutively kill 6000 players horses and still have $1000 left over... with a side stash of 365 Gold Bars1 point

The most important thing is starting off with a character that has traits that you want to end with. If I created another character with the same sliders with whatever the game gives me, the end result would not be the same. What took the most time was me having to keep backing out of the online menu and restarting until I got a character that I wanted to start adjusting sliders.1 point

And because of R* choice to not giving players options to play the game. This games popularity has suffered. Free aim lobbies and private lobbies are the most requested features. Two things that should have been there since launch. R* says they want feed back... well? On top of that.. Free aim is not just about pvp. So I don't see these free aim pvp modes as a good thing. It would be the same as if the game was all free aim and R* added ONE special auto aim aim pvp mode every few weeks in rotation. Whats the point? Also private lobbies.. The game itself simply runs better with less players. As of now, getting stuck in a solo lobby is seen as a gift. Gang hides outs spawning, stranger missions everywhere, animals spawn like crazy. And of course private pvp lobbies with host options, would have helped build a healthy pvp community of players. Which as of right now. Does not exist. R* probably play tests everything in their own private lobbies with a handful of employees at a time. Which is why this game probably runs so good with only a handful of players in the lobbies. But the cycle of R* only really adding fixes with content updates. And then not doing jack sh*t till the next update is getting tiresome. Since they don't communicate, are players supposed to wait till March for animals fixes? And if they still doesn't fix it, maybe till Aug or Sept? And instead of addressing the issues. R* keeps adding more clothing, discounts and blah blah blah Twitch Prime. (Which im pretty sure no one watches RD O on twitch prime..(Reasons being what I listed at the start of the my post) As of now.. the most fun I have is playing Bountys and Shine Missions. I can play with free aim, I can play solo.. and theres animals everywhere.1 point

Yes it could be worse for sure, agree with you there ; with that said - it just gets frustrating and this is a good platform for venting a bit with other gamers ... it’s therapeutic to me to know I’m not the only one, lol .1 point

Just to be fair, it's not the gaming community so much as it is a few bad apples that can spoil the experience for most.1 point

It should pick up now that the holidays are over. I feel like they were focused fully on the season and celebration that things got put on hold for a bit for specialty festive items.1 point

I think it is pretty shitty that we have to worry about playing online games because of people like this. I shouldn't have to mute other players to avoid them. I shouldn't have to worry about a girlfriend or spouse playing the game with me. This kind of stuff makes me sick and honestly disappoints me when it comes to the gaming community as a whole.1 point

If you're trying to make the taming process easier, you may as well just watch a few youtubes on this and learn how to break horses - it's not really that difficult. I managed most of them just by holding the thumbstick to one side or the other (into the turn) until the horse tired out1 point

Getting the Buck Antler Trinket helps with getting perfect pelts. It gives a small chance for pelts to be upgraded by one star when the animal is skinned or picked up.1 point
-
I respectfully disagree with the first reply. If I see a 3 star animal I never have any problems getting the 3 star pelt/carcass. The key is, you must be using the correct weapon, it must be a headshot and you have to kill it in 1 shot. Deer must be killed with a long rifle of some sort: rolling block, carcano, bolt action or a bow. Use your scope or binoculars to check the rating of the animal before you shoot to verify its a 3 star. If you go to story mode and check your compendium it will tell you exactly what weapon to use to get a perfect pelt, assuming the animal is a 3 star before you even attempt to take it down and that you've studied the animal. I have a lot of time in this game and have never experienced the same issue youre having so just double check youre using the correct items. Also, find a 3 star squirrel and then use small game arrows with a head shot to get your perfect pelt. Hope this help1 point

Same here. I have my complaints about certain games but I honestly wouldn't trade them to go back to how the graphics used to be. Everything looks and runs so much better today then back in the 90s and early 2000s.1 point

You would think they realized this by now. It seems like some stuff is too easy and other things are taking too damn long in the game.0 points
