12/3/19 MOONSHINERS: A New Frontier Pursuit Coming 12/13
HuDawg replied to Kean_1's topic in Red Dead Online
But they have explosive rounds and seasoned game too. And when it comes to pvp game modes OR free roam activities (such as deliveries). Its hard to just run awat. I mean, If you're in mid delivery, are you just gonna leave your sacks on the ground and run away if you get pinged by an explosive arrow? You'll be forced to fight or defend. Unless you truly don't care that those few hours worth of hunting ending up in others players hands. But again, this isn't just about pvp. It effects pve too. Tonics usage needs to be throttled. Ability Cards need to be balanced. Explosive Ammo needs to me dialed back. And last but not least, The player base needs to be split on aim preference. These are things that R* likes to ignore, but these are game play mechanics that affect the entire game. Those few things, if improved will make the rest of the game sooo much better. -

Well the thing is, those cards ruin both pvp and pve. Unbalanced as in, NO ONE should be able to take 10+ bullets and survive, be it from NPCs or other players. Its not just the cards that unbalance this game. Its also the tonics combined with ability cards. What you spend your time on is your choice. But since this game is public sessions ONLY with auto aim and pvp is a part of the game. Who you run into is a non issue. Many people do run into these players, I know I do. So its not like ignoring it makes it go away. -

I really don't care much about private lobbies as I do for actual game balance and free aim lobbies. The Original Red Dead online version was more balanced and had more options to suit taste. R* has taken a more regressive approach when it comes to current RD O. R* put so much effort into making the game play world as realistic and immersive as possible then throws all that out the window when it comes shooting/player mechanics. Im not hating the game.. Im hating the person whos not doing their job. Which is pretty simple to do. If the old RD O had such simple options and game play choice, then there's no excuse as to why this current version doesn't get the same logic applied to it. -

I think even a tonic cool down would work wonders for both pvp modes and free roam pvp. But hosted lobbies with settings would have been the saving grace of pvp. Every pvp game mode is mostly high levels running around chugging tonics to bolster their ability card usage. Even free aim pvp game modes, is players chugging tonics to have constant PIB. Explosive bullets on the other hand. Not sure what to really do about that. I remember a while ago.. Doing a long delivery with a full posse. Getting instant dynamite arrowed. Our wagon is destroyed. Big explosive battle.. Eventually we grabbed the bags. But it was next to impossible for most of the time. Everyone keeps spawning in auto aim range. Even the small posse trying to jack us, turns into us having to kill them 20 times while we die 20 times and our horses keep getting exploded. The only reason why we got the bags is due to us out numbering them. That whole thing was not fun, just tedious and frustrating. Really, wish R* would do more live streams. That way trolls would give them a front row seat to how things can play out due to their lack of balance. -

PVP isn't balanced in the slightest. I can strut around with defensive cards and eat bullets like candies. Also the explosive rounds are a huge issue. A low level player has no chance against me, unless they use explosive rounds. If someone is doing deliveries, I know full well what im capable of. I've also been in tons of free roam battles that all degenerate into explosive rounds and dynamite arrows. Guess you should consider yourself lucky if you don't encounter many hostiles in free roam. The pvp in GTA is much more balanced, until you factor in armed vehicles, then its bonkers. RD, has a ability card/tonic issue that unbalances the pvp,. While the explosive rounds/auto aim turns into wild west sh*t show. Every big update also seems to come with game play mechanic changes. So, things might be nerfed. -

On top of that, most players have access to explosive ammo and dynamite arrows. I mean, I get it. It gives players a chance to be 'bad guys' and rob players. On paper it sounds great. But they at least have to put in some effort on balancing the pvp in the game, if they are going to bake it into every aspect of the game. If I was going after someones product. Its a dynamite arrow right out of the gate, and explosive rounds every time they caught up. Combined with auto aim and PIB. This is instant, 100% perfect shots. Which basically forced everyone protecting their product to use explosive ammo as defense. Tank builds are a completely different mess. I'll go out on a limb here and say R* is about to nerf that. (Even tho the main issue is the tonics). R* has had a huge problem with pvp, even since GTA O. At this point they are basically copying GTA O with their whole business/delivery. And doing the same thing when it comes to actual pvp balance. Sort of like how in GTA O grow weed and sell weed..and give you a mini van do sell the weed in. In a game filled with flying hover bikes that shoot off rockets and attack choppers you can spawn out of thin air. -

Moonshine stuff looks fun But R* needs to get it trough their heads that their pvp isn't good. Not sure why they keep forcing it on players. -
Me 2 man. R* doesn't seem to care what players want or need. And they are tooooo slow with updates. The summer update ended up being the fall update. And the game is too dumbed down and too simplistic to actually provide any sort long term challenge. I don't mind waiting for updates. But as long as this game allows players to be lazer beam lock on cowboys with magical super powers, everything just gets stale instantly. For me, its still lack of proper free aim lobbies that ruins this game. R* will go out of their way to keep adding stupid pink clothing to the game, but refuse to add free aim. R* goes out their way to instantly patch a glitch that allowed players to keep their delivery run stock. ONE WEEK after the update. But then, sit on their stupid assess when it comes to camps not spawning.

To be honest, we could use a bunch of wenches.. with winches.
-
IMO the griefers are not the problem. The person in charge of RD O is.. Hes the REAL griefer. (Wonder if hes the same dumbass in charge of GTA O) Auto aim, Player blips on Radars, Unbalanced Ability Cards, Tonics, Explosive Ammo/Dynamite Arrows when combined with HOSTILE interactions between players is the issue. The game is backwards.. and has been since day one. In terms of pvp, this game is a joke. I don't mind getting killed by players. But even my dog could roll over my controller while sleeping and magically get a kill on a player. Meaning any idiot can kill anyone.. All pvp encounters turn into tonic chugging, ability cards spamming, explosive ammo auto aim fests. And that is R* fault..
-
Its not Villain roles we need.. Its criminal roles. Like some said with robberies and such. Villains are kind of subjective.
-
FFS I wish R* would stop with their stupid free aim series and add a damn FREE AIM for everything. WTF is their problem? Like free aim should only have ONE game mode that changes every week... . Its been nearly a year, its about time R* pulls their head of their ass.
-
Immersion takes a back seat for R* when it comes to online. Just like GTA O, you can't steal and keep expensive cars. Because in a game called grand theft auto.. its really about buying it with money.
-
Anyone on PC whos also played on console willing to share their experience on the differences between to the two? More players in lobbies? How are the controls. Does PC have free aim lobbies or is it an aim bot fiesta? On the fence about buying the PC version. It look soo good. But if online sucks, i'll just grab it later for single player and mods.

Not sure how it works on PS4. But on XBOX, if your main account has xbox gold, any account you log on with has access to xbox gold. So you can make a bunch of accounts, log in, create new characters. So ended up making a bunch of accounts. Mostly for role playing purposes/character type play. Some I play as bad, good... or just trolling. For example. I got a really chubby girl. I ride up to people or play co-op missions. But I don't shoot them or shoot anything, I just eat tons of food standing next them. Or ride into camps and ask people "invite to posse for stew plz" I got a Native American character, A hot girl, Sweating Inbred Hilly Billy.. If you're bored, try it out.

10/29/29 Weekly Bounty, bonuses + New Limited Time Mode

Pretty much. I wouldn't say you have to grind all your life. But that pretty much sums up the pvp in this game. Its either players taking 20+ bullets to die with SS defense build OR lazer fast lighting bolt arrows with PIB and auto aim. With 100s of tonics to drink to keep it going. By level 50 you'll have every card unlocked. Explosive ammo is all unlocked by around lvl 90. Thing is not everyone is hostile in the game. So its not like its a non stop sh*t show. But it you will get attacked. PIB beats SS SB beats SS. SS beats PIB. Auto aim beats Free Aim and mid to short range. Free aIm beats Auto aim at long range.
-
R* is just testing the waters. They are not targeting the hardcore players, they want you to be the poster child for why people spend real money on the pass. Its the casual players who they want to milk. IMO they are just getting started with 'passes'. No doubt the prices will get higher.

Up to 5 large wagons stolen by rockstar now.

Just remember. 1st Week of the new update. "SOME" Players where disconnecting on purpose at the end of their delivery to keep their product at full. So R* SPRUNG to action a week later, (Another patch in one week) and made it so everyone suffers if theres a disconnect. And now everyone loses their product. But... When it comes to camps not spawning and animals not spawning. R* ain't in not hurry to fix that. -
Problem with that concept is. Players attack from their horses and constantly put their horses in harms way. If there was a serious penalty, players would use their horses as cover when attacking. Sometimes you need to shoot a players horse, because players ask for it. If 3 players on horses decide to try and spawn kill you and you decided to go all dynamite arrow on their asses. Horses are going to die, even tho you're not trying to even kill their horse.
-
Dismiss your horse and call for it back.
-
Im sure they will do the worst job possible. Unless it involves players cheating/modding money..then they will do what ever they can to 'fix' it. Alls I can say is fear the horse balls. I remember this from GTA O. Sure it suck having modders ruin games. But that video is beyond funny (OMG is sooo realistic *koff fake news) I can see it now. Modder teleports player to a barn and 50 horses just start running a train on someone. lmfao

**Animal Spawn Issue Discussion** (Since Summer and Recent Updates)
HuDawg replied to Jimblob's topic in Troubleshooting
^This. Once the game gets packed animals rarely spawn. Doing a bounty seems to place people in solo lobbies. Also a few other things that can force solo lobbies. -
Pretty Cool Article/Interview With Rockstar Posted Today
HuDawg replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
Lol @ pvp not being that popular. Geee.. I wonder why. LMFAO. That's like if the next GTA Online only has PUBLIC races with catch and slip stream on. No other options, no hosts, no choice of race tracks.. nothing. And then the R* guy saying. "Racing isn't that popular'. Well, duh, you KILLED it that's why. And that's exactly what they did with RDR O pvp. Does R* really think competitive pvp is auto aim, unbalance ability cards and tonic chugging in public only games? Because if they actually listen to the feed back that they claim they do. The exact opposite is constantly being complained about since release of this game. Yet here they are yammering on about 'bringing your dog out with you from your camp" What the actual hell? lol? The interviewer tossed nothing but soft balls. While their is some good bits in it, most of it sounded like he was just being a shill. -
Tap RT while running at someone shoves/body checks them. Tap B for a instant kill set up. I know with a bow, it stabs them in the neck. Variables in speed when moving or crouching changes to different animations for kills. Also you can block a shove or grab with B button.
