I used it once or twice as well. It worked at drawing animals in but I never really used it online to farm them for skins, etc. .....and I never tapped into the naturalist role.

If you're participating in missions that allow other players to engage you, that's different than "griefing". There are missions that do and missions that don't. Higher risk, higher reward but you do have a choice not to choose those types of missions if you don't want to.

Yeah.... Some folks forget that there are still all those other viruses, illnesses we are all still vulnerable against. Hell, I even thought I might have caught it a few months ago when I suddenly had a temperature of over 100 and symptoms that could have been related to it. I was pooping bricks as I have a history of lung problems and was just getting over a flu, sinus infection and pneumonia when this all started. With my pulmonologist's help, I got through it but he told me I really can't afford to get this virus right now. I was puzzled as we had been super cautious and avoiding people. Turns out it appears to have been a sinus infection as I also have been recovering from sinus surgery. Luckily I had a couple boxes of Medrol packs on hand so I started taking one. ....got online with the local urgent care and got some antibiotics which all started working within a day. Even with the virus most only see typical flu-like symptoms anyhow. In fact, my wife and I had been wondering if what we had in Dec '19 might have been this as we started seeing similar stories about it. ....who knows. Anyhow, glad to hear you're on the mend. No fireplace? Been pretty cold here lately where I'm at in So CA as well. Luckily, the areas that get their power cut due to high winds, etc. are on the outskirts of our small city where fire danger is more of an issue. Sorry to hear about the family and the potential of you being infected too. .....also sad to hear of a family member treating you like that. I'm lucky that all of mine would bend over backward for each other and always have. I hope you're not sick and if so, that you get well quickly. I haven't seen my sister or Dad in about a year. My sis takes care of my father in a way by delivering items and such so we really don't want to take a risk by being around either of them. Luckily, I still see my brother from time to time since he lives just a few blocks away. ....hoping things will change soon.

Hi @kemalcorek and welcome. I'm moving your post to the main Online section for more visibility. Wish I had an answer for you but I'm sure someone will be along to help.

The whole campaign is a progression through the story. The main missions don't just unlock new ones but also new items, functions, abilities and so on. As mentioned, while you can forego some of the other side missions, activities, etc., you can't skip the main/story missions AFAIK to continue to the next chapter.

.....the story missions have to be completed. They are essentially linear from what I remember. Side quests / missions aren't barring the fact some are open by progression.

PS5 games have been $59 at the high end for a long time for the standard version of titles. .....more for "deluxe", "collectors editions", etc. The sky is the limit in that respect. With the release of the next gen consoles, software prices have finally been raised in some instances to $69 for entry level. We'll have to see what the industry does in that respect as some are still releasing titles @ $59, etc. Now, that's titles at the release prices. Sale prices will vary wildly. I often pick up games I'm not particularly anxious about for significantly less than what it might have released at if I wait a bit. .....sometimes just a month or two after the release date. PSN also gives away 2 "free" games a month with the PS+ subscription. Some of them are what I might consider weak but they do give away some pretty cool games as well. Console genres extend beyond FPS games but then again, not trying to convince you console is right for you if you already have a fixed mindset about it.

I've got a web check that runs automatically for changes in pages, sections of pages, etc. It alerts me when stock comes in but even with that edge, I still haven't landed one. I've been in the waiting line and even in the cart a couple times but beaten out every time. ....lol.

I'm still trying to source a PS5. I figure by next month or March when @Tas plans to buy his they will begin to stay in stock longer than a few minutes. SIE already discontinued production on some PS4 models in some markets to focus attention on building more PS5s. Our 58" is 1080P as well. I thought the TV would have pooped out by now but it's still with us and I have no desire to upgrade just for 4K, faster refresh, etc. .....even with an "in" in the industry where we can score a great deal on one. Just not that interested right now. Ours looks and works great. I'm really looking forward to the PS5 helping some of my games run better too. DayZ in particular. DayZ suffers from frame rate dips below 30 FPS, stutters and lag that can cause vehicles to temporarily freeze while driving, etc. .....and for a game with a permadeath element, it's not fun dying as a result of one. I've seen video of DayZ players on PS5 recording consistent 30 FPS with relatively rare and very minor dips below that of a couple frames. .....the devs capped their game at 30 but damn, it runs so much smoother just from the jump in power. They didn't use any of the optimization options available in the backward compatible feature which doesn't surprise me given they are a small studio. The game could be so much better if they did as they could really take advantage of the new hardware. Perhaps at some point they will because I don't see them making a PS5 enhanced version that would split the playerbase.

Yeah, as long as you're inside, folks can't harm you. IIRC, it's the same in stores but to be sure, just open the catalogue on the counter when you're in there.

Find a post office, gun store, etc. where you are safe from attacks.

I have a comfy chair in my home office but my wife wasn't too hip with me "closing myself off" upstairs. She's happier with me being downstairs in the living room playing games on the PS4 so she can sit next to me doing her own thing on her PC, etc. It's more comfortable for me as well. The PS is also our media center for the family so it gets used constantly throughout the day. Since I stopped building PCs we've been on notebooks ever since for business, etc. I've got lower back problems myself so I can relate. My left leg is mostly numb 24/7 with those wonderful shooting pains from time to time if I stand in one place too long, sit on the wrong kind of chair, etc.
