  1. Your CPU is below the recommended i7-4770k so that's probably why you are having trouble. The Reddit discussion below has a guide to limit CPU usage of the game, users have reported this works. You can download the mentioned software here: http://mion.faireal.net/BES/ I'd also try overclocking the GPU a little as well, maybe 10-20% to offset the CPU limitation. You could also try Process Lasso and restrict the game to 2 or 3 cores: https://bitsum.com/ - or if the option is available to you.. Open up Task Manager with RDR2.exe running, go to the Details tab, right-click on it, and select 'Set Affinity'. Lower the cores used.
  2. After seeing a bit more of the game play, I can see why this kind of game is relaxing. I mean there isn't too much to do outside of the cut scenes but it allows you to just relax and enjoy the story while being a part of it.
  3. I would love to just be able to own a farm or have an actual home. The camp is fine and all that but it is so buggy half the time. If I had a farm or house, it would be in the same place all the time and not be shifting around the place.
  4. I always get the feeling that stuff like this gets easily manipulated and people get ripped off. This is no offence to the people who are participating in it but I have seen several charity campaigns and donation runs that end up pocketing a big portion of the money and using it for god only knows what.
  5. If you like true story series, give Fargo a try. I think it started in 2014 and it still going. I am not sure how many seasons are left but I am enjoying it. Has the right mix of humor and violence.
  6. My brother is. He said it looks amazing but the actual gameplay is boring. You have to really enjoy the story or the game will just end up feeling like one of those basic hunt and gather style games which not everyone enjoys.
  7. Yeah I can agree with this. I think it should be up to the player to decide this. It makes no sense that you can't choose. If there is an option for it, I am overlooking it!
  8. Have you contacted Rockstar about the issue? There may be a fix for your particular graphics card. It might be a conflict you have in your settings somewhere and they should be able to tell you what (if any) conflicts might be happening.
  9. This sounds like a driver issue or a conflict with your OS. As Nasty mentioned, make sure your drivers are up to date and check that your OS is as well.
  10. If all else fails, the good ol' print screen (PS) key works just fine. I use this in a pinch if I am not wanting to fuss with other software or be fancy about anything. I just paste the screen shot into something like paint and save it. I will crop accordingly if I need to.
  11. The easiest way I can explain online is this: It is a wonderful time machine that takes you back to the old west where you can basically "play life" how you want. If you want to be a criminal, go for it. If you want to be a good guy who abides by the law, cheers to that. You can role-play as light or as hard as you want to. Gangs are encouraged as you are never 100% safe, just like in the real life old west. You want to have people who will have your back.
  12. Isn't this a protective measure to ensure you don't end up getting killed by someone or something? I remember one of the first times I saved and quit and then got back to playing the next day, I spawned in and two cougars tore me to bits in seconds. I stood up to grab a drink from the kitchen while it was loading the game, came back to seeing my dude get tore to bits lol
  13. Play the game a bit more. You will end up unlocking options for more storage. If I say anything it might spoil things for you. Just trust me, you will know when you have more storage options. As for the message, you will be limited according to individual items. Like you can carry 4 of something, 8 of something else. It all depends on what the item is and how much room it would realistically take up.
  14. They don't even have to expand the map all that much if at all. Like you said, the issue is the spawning points. I get keeping animals to where they would be in nature but they should have a better spawning system to help balance the death ratio. Hopefully this is something they work on in the near future.
  15. Welcome! I have had trouble finding a decent posse as well. I finally was able to join up with one my cousin made and the people in his are cool and laid back. Like Kean said, check out the posse section on the forum. I am sure someone will be looking for more people.
  16. Yeah this can't be avoided. I was hoping for an alternate ending to avoid it but that is not the case. It just bums me about because I got attached and was not planning on it. Happened in RDR as well.
  17. Maybe I have not played enough lately to see them but I have yet to spot one myself. How do they interact with players? Are they passive? Can you shoot them? Maybe the servers I am joining, they are just all being picked off.
  18. They added zombies?? I didn't even know about this. I am going to have to run around tonight and try to find some. I'll check out the other thread.
  19. The longest gaming marathon I have had in recent years was when RDR2 first came out and I played the game about 8 hours straight. Since then, I tend to only be able to sit still and play a game maybe 2 hours tops. I have to get up and move around, even if I am enjoying the game. I have knee issues so the longer I sit, the more I risk being in pain so that is not fun. I would love to have joined in a marathon with others but my legs just won't allow it. lol
  20. As C20Dragon mentioned, they are consistent with their placement which is kind of annoying. I would much rather they be in several different areas myself.
  21. Could it be possible that certain internet providers are interfering with this? I know Rockstar wouldn't purposely do anything like this to hold people back, it makes no sense. They want people to enjoy the game. However, if a provider is trying to throttle your internet connection, I would imagine it would cause issues.
  22. I can't say I have heard of this being an issue lately with anyone. Have you tried contacting Rockstar to see if there is something you can do? Maybe one of the updates downloaded funny since you played last and you will have to redo it.
  23. I am wondering about this now because I know on GTA V, the server plays to whatever the host chooses. So if the host is on free aim, then that is what everyone will be on.
  24. I was going to make a poll for this but then I realized I am asking a few different questions here so I can't. Anyways, what will you be using to play RDR2 in terms of the following: Headphones or Speakers? Controller or Keyboard & Mouse? What kind of screen? I want to get a general idea of how people will be experiencing the game. I am going to more than likely be using my standard desktop speakers. I got them from Walmart and I can't remember the brand but they have a decent sub-woofer. As far as the screen, I am just on a standard acer 1080p screen, nothing fancy. I would like to get a new monitor before the game comes out but for the kind I would like, I probably can't swing it right now. Controls wise, almost certainly will be using a controller but I do want to give keyboard and mouse a try. I have a mechanical keyboard, one of those Rosewill LED function ones. I can't remember the model number but it has brushed metal. I should invest in a better mouse though. I am just using one that came with another keyboard, not exactly a "gamer friendly" one but for what I have played it was never an issue.
  25. I could have sworn they said something about it over the summer prior to RDR2's release in an interview. This is the internet though so maybe they hinted at it being possible but never wrote it in stone and people just took it as they were making it this time.
