Is this bugged?

ive got sheepskin coat, sheepskin vest, union suit, pants and boots, hat and gloves ... Still not suitable for cold weather?  What!?

I think it is. I had the same thing happen for me as well as the group I play with. My boyfriend's friend contacting them about the issue but I don't think they responded yet.

Likely a bug or something. I haven't wore anything remotely winter related to know if it is happening to me but that is the only logical explanation.

You don't need the cold weather gear. I have been up there, wearing regular gear, doing Flaco's Hernandez's missions with no problems.

Mail delivery missions in strawberry can get cold in early morning. I get the red snowflake reminding me my stats are taking a hit no matter how well I was bundled. The way my horse is steaming after running all over still makes me grin.

I have also tried saving different outfits at the tailor, can’t  seem to find one that says suitable for cold weather.

As far as I know, nothing. I spend enough time wearing light clothing in the cold and haven't noticed anything negative. Maybe they hadn't added anything in for this.

Doesnt the freeze symbol on your health core signify that you are losing health to exposure like in solo story?

Yes it does, so long as you have enough food venturing up North causes no real issues.

Cool, but I'd rather just be able to stay warm by wearing clothes I bought and not having to consume my supplies.  Even if somewhat a trivial inconvenience, it's still a negative that shouldn't exist.  Otherwise why have an exposure mechanic and warm coats and vests at all?

The grizzled outlaw outfit available to ps4 players seems to be sufficient enough to protect you from the cold

It's supposed to drain your  health / stamina cores levels faster.  If you are not wearing warm clothing.

It's supposed to be the same as story, making your cores drain quicker. Tough to tell though since they have the core drain turned up a ton online.

The vest is the issue.

Try wearing the Wilderness vest + Sheepskin Coat. (its the one with the leather tassles along the breast pockets with sheepskin lining.... (some are lucky enough to acquire it as part of the random clothing you get at  character creation. If not you have to be level 91 I think to buy it. It is the only Vest I own that grants cold weather protection when coupled with the sheepskin coat.  Id also use gloves but I don't believe its required when wearing this outfit.   ALSO......

Wearing clothes good for average temps in certain areas of the grizzlies of some other northern areas at nighttime will cause a  higher drain rate on your health core. (your health core is already always draining).

Wearing clothes meant for HOT temps in those same areas will cause a rapid drain of your health core. As long as you have food cooked or bought to deal with this, a short trip is easy. However, an hour long hunt up there will burn through your food pretty quick.  Never know when youll get ambushed by some O'Driscoles up there either. Never trust men in black that appear to be sitting(hiding) in the woods for no reason.  Just had his happen ;last night with over $120 worth of skins and pelts on me. Below is a picture of the vest.

Cool info, but it seems crazy to me that only one vest (unlocked at level 91!!!) works for cold weather, whereas a sheepskin vest, for example doesn't.

It's genuinely as if R* wanted to lock the snow areas of the map behind a high level lock for some reason.  Why??

I have a cool jacket with sheep wool, that i really want to wear, but it drains everywhere, cause its so warm! Thats a pain, if you want to go with the "Cool looking" Cowboy image.. haha

Noticed last night that my attempt at ‘winter’ clothing have me the ‘overheat’ (or whatever it’s called) debug/core drain last night as I zoned into tumbleweed.

Bought gold with the one time gold offer and with it, bought a sheepskin coat, wool shirt, buck skin pants, moccasin boots and a cutter hat. I was already wearing a buck skin vest. When I saved this custom outfit, it said it was suitable for cold weather.

I was looking through the “Rank Unlocks” and found at rank 65 two clothing sets called The Roanoke with the winter symbol on them. Looks maybe like at rank 65 you can buy winter clothes sets.

If you go right up into the snow the sheepskin will not be sufficient, I use the Bison coat up there and my cores stay fine and im warm

Don't understand why R* doesn't understand the concept of dressing in layers.  Rather than having to change into a new outfit to wear that winter coat,  we should be able to pack a heavy coat, a middleweight coat and raincoat.  Store your everyday clothes in preset groupings/outfits, use your stored coats to modify the effects.
