You should name your kid "Kean_1".

And now the trite version of mine:

I like hair metal and having fun. The first time I used "Nothin But A Good Time" as a username, it was two letters too long, so I chopped off the vowels in "Nothin" figuring that word would be the easiest to decipher without vowels. Occasionally hearing someone call me Nathan over a game microphone reminds me that I was wrong. My name is not Nathan...or anything close to it.

God, I miss the '80's.  My kids know all the words to that one (and Here I Go Again by Whitesnake, and many MANY others) and I'm not the least bit sorry.

Also:

Time to bust out my Karate pajamas.

One of my favorite memories from my kids' early childhood is jamming out to the radio with them and then, when the song ended, hearing a little voice from the back ask, "What aren't they going to take anymore, Daddy?"

Somewhere in my attic, there is a Polaroid of me in 3rd or 4th grade with my best friend at the time wearing our Karate Kid pajamas and posing in mid-fight stances. To maximize product placement, you can see my GI Joe underwear through the cheap pajama pants.

Mine is lifted from the refrain of a piece by a poetry collective formed in the waning years of the prior century which was comprised of Dall, Deville, Michaels, Rockett, Bombilla, and Carretero.

I would have preferred to see your name be "TlkDirtyToMe". A bit more visual poetry in that gem of a song.

As for me, it all comes down to this:

Captain Chaos, and every derivative thereof, was taken on PSN.

giphy.gif

I've always been "Captain Chaos," and was heartbroken I couldn't be for my gamertag.

I tried other names for upwards of ten minutes.

Finally, I remembered something my wife had recently said:

We were driving home one night, and I had a large fountain drink of Coca-Cola. I took a sip and was surprised at how good it was.

I told my wife she needed to try it because it was so good.

The instant she took a sip, we drove into the most noxious cloud of skunk stink you've ever smelt. Honestly, it was putrid.

My wife, mouth full of soda, reacted:

"Eeehhwww! It tastes like cokey skunk!"

So, I tried that on the PSN. It worked. (shocking)

Now I have to deal with people calling me "Cokey," which I detest.

. . . and I still wish I were Captain Chaos.

😔

Not that shocking considering PSN does next to nothing to deter names on their platform.  Hell, for years on Xbox Live, I was "MaskedDebator"

I never would have guessed that was the origin of your name, if I had the choice between being called "Cokey" or "Skunk" I'd probably go with "Cokey".

It doesn't seem that bad a name but having said that, I know a fair few people who would fit the name "Cokey" and although they're wonderfully fun people, you have to watch your drinks when your around them.

We could call you "Stinker", if you don't like "Cokey" or "Skunk"?  :)

There is a movie called Slap Shot starring Paul Newman. There are 3 brothers that play as "goons" and call it "old time hockey". They basically commit every penalty in the book to the highest degree. TheHansonBrothers was taken so I chose the Goons part.

Old time hockey. Like Eddie Shore

I just learned the other day they made an IPA called MmmmmHops. My head still hurts from this news.

@Truth  consider yourself lucky. 1/4 men in their mid to late thirties questioned if they were gay because they had on a crush on the middle one, and found out it was a dude.

I'd try it... If I was into IPAs.

I don't bear the guys Ill-will. Their biggest hit was one of the darkest songs set to one of the peppiest  tunes. It rivals "Hey Jealousy" for most depressing single in the '90s/early '00s pop-rock radio that you could still tap your feet to

It's a narrow category, but an important one

I was born in 1996 so I have no idea who these he-shes are and I get the feeling that's something to be thankful for but I'm also confused as to why these nobodies filmed a video on such iconic, hallowed ground, who are these people?

I have learnt a valuable lesson today, I will never again look for answers about unimportant things that I do not understand lest I be scarred for life once more.

sea-mick-sea

"C Mc C"  is a nickname i acquired many moons ago.  I am Scotts-Irish so also popular at the time was "Mc" (Mick) or "Irish" .  The letter of my first name is C.  McC is the beginning of my last name. Playstation would not allow me to have CMcC as a gamertag so I had to use CMcCMcC, which confuses a lot of people. I get a lot of "Hey C...CM...c...c........Hey CM!" I'll likely change it first chance I get.  Which could be soon.

Nah!  We don't buy it, there's gotta be more to your story.  Let's start from your birth and how it brought on this name?  :)
