Pretty sure there will be one. They're going for the double-dip again.

I do hope so! This is one of the very very very very....very very very very very few franchises that I'll ever consider that for. Hell I don't even own a PS4 yet but when RDR2 comes along you can bet I'm buying one (unless The Last Of Us 2 releases before then lol).

Yes but I think this will be down to the PC fans. They will need to voice that they want it bad enough and then I think it will happen.

I am still undecided for the same reason you said yes. I think it would take a lot of voices to convince them it is worth it. GTA V was an easy choice to make, it is far more "mainstream" than many other games out there. It is well known. RDR was known of and enjoyed but a fan base didn't truly spark until a few years after the release... And even now, it is not comparable in numbers. PC fans didn't even get a chance to play the game if they didn't have a console as well.

Not sure about this anymore because of the news on LA Noire with Nintendo. I mean if they are planning on pushing titles like this on Nintendo, why would they skip out on PC? Would make no sense to me.

Eh this is true I guess. There are more and more PC based gamers born everyday as well. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

I think they will follow the GTA V model and we will get a PC release... just way down the track.

I agree, they'll want people to double dip just like a large majority did with GTA V. I'm solely a console gamer so I'm not affected by this but I hope they don't make the PC community wait too long although I wouldn't put it past Rockstar to wait till Fall 2019/Spring 2020 to release RDR2 for PC.

I can't see there being a pc release because there will be tons of mods made for it on pc once people see that the console player base will drop. I am sure Rock Star and Take Two have thought about this but what they decide to do time will tell. If there is a release i think it will be through playstation now subscription, i think they did that with rdr instead of a full port to pc.

I'm going to say 'yes' because the state of PC gaming has changed in recent years.  Although it's still a much smaller market, it's growing exponentially year over year.  This is evident given the recent direction of Sony and Microsoft rushing to keep pace and compete with superior PC hardware, and the recent increase in manufacturers focusing development and innovation on hardware specifically targeted towards gaming, ie. Asus, MSI, EVGA, etc.

Also, I don't know much about game development, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "porting" console games much easier today given the similar x86 architecture now used in both consoles and PC's?  I think even COD's most recent WWII port has been considered the most stable it's ever been, and that's saying a lot.
