Got and use both of the cards PiB and SB i mean. Both are broken imo.  Pib should not lock on to some1 using sb and sb should have a cooldown to use so ppl wont lock on, shoot and then go back to sb.

SB is usefull in some showdowns - i dont use it in free roam maybe bcoz im not the gank others type. I like slow and steady the most followed by PiB.

Guess the  best solution would be to have the ability have a delay of when they can go back to auto aiming. Should go to rosckstars feedback page and suggest it.

As I mentioned if you used free aim you would never have an issue with any slippery bastard wielder as it wont affect you what so ever. Of course auto aimers would have an advantage but overall it enhances the experience and gives you some pride in killing people rather than the aim, flick up and shoot method oh and add in the .22 caliber varmint rifle to that.

HI,

Can you explain where to set "auto aim" etc in my settings? I checked but only find "free aim/normal etc".

What's the (dis)advantage?

That's what pay to win is. Letting low ranks buy overpowered sh*t just cuz they have the irl money for it. A bad disease that seems to plague most MMOs. So far it hasn't fully touched RDO yet. It's not crazy and feels good when you finally get to the rank to obtain/use it. Low ranks with explosives is like giving a tantrum ridden 5 year old a flamethrower.

Bang on 👍

I've noticed a lot more players using slippery bastard for the new game spoils of war. They'll activate it maybe half way to the enemy camp and easily slip in, steal a bag of loot and make their way back to home base untouched.

That is because a lot of players are pure thrash without the aim bot to hold their hands. I use SB in that game mode too because I know chances I get shot by a varmit, evans, etc are slim. You aren't untouchable by any means in SB, your survival is just higher because a large portion of the player base depends on the aim bot. Once you loose that crutch, SB is a non issue. The better you are at free aiming ,the deadly you become.

Why shouldn’t one special ability counter a different special ability? I think more should work like that... maybe a ‘right through the eye’ can counter ‘never without one’....

Every build has already has counter. And Never Without One Only allows you to tank 1 head shot. Not a big deal because once you loose your hat, your squishy as hell. Also you can build a DPS build and focus on body shots. Problem solved.  Everything can be countered if you take time to look at the cards and figure out which ones stack well together. Most people stick with the same 4 cards and never experiment with others. That is the real problem.

After the Spring Update I'll have to re-evaluate what cards I'll be using given the new mechanics that will be in place for the defensive mode.

I’ve been having frustrations myself in Up in Smoke with these folks. All it takes is a few second for them to bomb the base so on top of what the first few folks said, just tackle them. If you’re in a team based game mode 80% of the time, even if you can’t get them, your team mates will.

From my experience, slippery bastard opponents only have advantage on the first attack, that is, when I have to learn the hard way that I cannot lock on. Once I learn this, I am ready to adjust.

My first tip is to get better at free aiming, common sense I know, but this leads into my second tip, which is the best advice I know of regarding this.

PIB! Paint It Black! If you can free aim well enough to swipe the crosshair across their head it will paint their head, boom, headshot. If you are quick enough you can paint them quicker than they can free aim. Especially at distance, a slippery bastard does not stand a chance, I will paint him, or better yet, if he is more far out than that, hit him with the rolling block. If you have dynamite arrows unlocked, then you can hit just close enough and they will die a fiery death from the blast radius.

Also, Keep in mind they will have to refill their deadeye. On your mini map, wait until they become a dot again, and not an eye, showing they are not in dead eye anymore. That is also an opening.

Hope this helps!

It does affect me. I can't aim them when they have the card active and i don't know when they will drop out of it and aim me.

paint it black bow , dynamite/fire/normal ,  game over
