Reyes
I had a savings going and blew through it recently. Been out of work and it really sucks man. I have to build it back up soon. I like to have money set aside for things I want, emergencies, ect. You can guess who's family will be getting a Grinch this year. I won't have much of anything to spend on xmas gifts now. D3x
I have a savings account but I think I only got a few hundred in it. I am horrible at saving money unless there is something I want. I will save up for things but don't have a general backup plan or in case money.
FLIP
Nope. I tend to spend my money as I get it. I usually have some left over to get something I want at the end of the month. Bills are fun. Yay, adulting.
YellowDragon
Yes, I do. I am not sure what is in it but I have 7% of ever direct deposit from work going into my savings. I have not checked it in over a year. I actually tend to forget about it. I think the last time I did check it was at $800 something.

I usually end up spending mine on my car troubles. My POS car needs something fixed every time I turn around. I should just lease a freakin car already. lol
D3x
I think I need to actually get a plan going though. And Shawn man, get a new car. I seen a friend of mine drain thousands into his junker for 4 years. He could have just got himself a new car for a few more thousand.
BelleStarr
I don't have a savings account but I do have savings in my bank, but it's mainly going to be used for when I eventually move out, so it'll disappear very quickly when it comes to getting a mortgage. mizTik
I have about 9 grand saved. Started saving money a few years back, I think 2015. I just put some away when I can. I am trying to get a good chunk for a down payment on a house. Sick of renting.

I now have a savings account and HTB ISA. The interest will be a nice little earner. I wish I had made a savings account sooner. Glopez
I want to start saving. I really want to buy a house. I have been saying since I was 15 that I will just rent the rest of my life but having done so the last 5 years by myself, I just want to own a house. I drew my renting conclusions from watching my parents lose their house to debt but I see plenty of people owning homes without issues, my best friend being one of them. Bought his first house at 25. I am jealous. Married with a kid on the way too.
jACKx
I did but I blew through it all when I was laid off work. It sucks too because a had a solid amount saved. Now I am back at square one. I think teens and young adults should be encouraged more to have a savings. I think at my first job I made close to 50k and at the time I only had 2 bills. I wish I saved half of that. It is still better than nothing though! My ISA is 2% though so that's a lot better, it goes down when you have saved over £2k I think. I've earned £3.57 in the last month or so from them both. Considering I am adding funds to them both monthly, it goes up a bit each month. And considering when I was younger, I used to get like £1 a year ???? elmZ
I am trying to get one going but every time I turn around, something else needs money. The dog needs to go to the vet, my car needs a part, it is never ending.

No wonder so many people keep their money overseas... I think my savings account gives me like .05% every 3 months...

Hey, that is better than what I see here in the US. Some things they just do better in the UK, like banks and tea... And desserts. I love British desserts and sweets. lol
