Lack of news this late = bad news?

I see a lot of people online and even a few of my buddies saying stuff about the lack of "information" or game related teases is a bad sign. I know a lot of us said this months ago and sure enough, it game got pushed back but how can people believe it is going to happen again? They have many months and I think they even gave themselves extra time to ensure the game is bug-free come launch.

You will always see and hear people talking like this after a game is delayed one time. The charm here is that they did it twice to us. People are seemingly very p[esimistic in the gaming community anymore and they can be some real downers. I am with you. I think they gave themselves extra time to make sure it doesn't happen again. For all we know, the game is 100% done and they are just going to spend the next few months testing it all.

Agreed. People, online especially, have a tendency to lean towards the worst case scenario. Some do more so than others. I don't think this means anything bad. It did at the beginning but I can't see them delaying the game again.

Like mentioned above, the date (a given date, not a season and not a month) is proof enough for me to believe this game will be out when they say. People are just overreacting. Seems to be a "fashion" trend online for the last 4 years.

I don't think fashion is a good word here... More like a virus. lol

And yeah its a big issue in the gaming community. I have not seen much on the date or the lack of news is a bad thing though. Most people are convinced the game is coming out when they say this time.

When a gaming company issues a release date... not a release month or a release season, 99% of the time, the game comes out when they say. There have been delays of a week or two with other games so there is always a chance for it to happen but it is very, very unlikely.

I don't get why people do this! We have gotten our release date and it has been weeks since. Let it go. The game will be out in October. Stop being such a stick in the mud over them delaying it the first 2 times.

We have waited years for a sequel, then they delayed even another year after that.  At some point does it matter as long as the game is worth playing at release.

Yeah I think a lot of us are feeling the same way at this point, rather wait a bit longer for a quality release!

On the one hand I want them to at least share some more information to keep me hooked but at the same time I'd actually like it if they actually kept this secret (but of course still released without too much of a longer delay).

  • 2 weeks later...

I can't blame people for being skeptical over this. After all, we have had several setbacks with this title already. I do think, however, there is a FAR less likely chance of it happening again because they know people weren't to happy about it being pushed back as much as it has been.
