I have asked the same question to myself many times. Most of us just want to have a civil conversation and help each other, not get bashed on because your information isn't helping.3 points

Way to go being a complete jerk to someone is only trying to help you find a solution. What is it with some of these people lately who have been joining up in the last few days?3 points

My funny story is there's a regular "Stranger" NPC that often appears in the Saloon in Valentine (with the barber) who looks like a typical mountain man/trapper. He's a big boy too. He's always drunk and starts in on me and then starts a fight. First time, he kicked my ass, my screen flashes DEAD. I respawn outside down the street. Then another time I played, I see him in the bar again, this time he's standing at the bar. Same thing, he starts a fight and beats my ass to death. By this point, I'm thinking there's a reason this is happening, and I start thinking that if I beat him, something cool will happen... Another time I go there and there he is again! Same attitude, but this time I avoid him long enough to have a few meals of lamb at the bar in an effort to gain weight. After like 4 meals, I make my way over to his table by the barber chair. A fight ensues. He's rocking Arthur, suddenly Arthur unholsters my Volcanic Pistol and starts pistol-whipping this big brute into the shadow realm. I FINALLY BEAT HIM!... But nothing happens, except I get a wanted level. I leave the area for a minute or two. Then another time, I see him again! I March up to his table, thinking I had to have earned his respect, I greet him and the bastard wants to go for round 4! I promptly left before fists and pistol grips flew lol! Nothing cool happened, turns out he's just an ass hole Hahaha!3 points

For me riding falls into 3 "fast" modes ... 1 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every stride of the horse, tap, tap, tap, tap, and that makes the horse go very fast, but it also slowly loses stats and pants, this is the stride when you're running away from a pack of something that you simply won't be able to survive, and also when you just want to get somewhere in a hurry and you know the horse can rest when you get there. 2 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every other stride of the horse, tap, pause, tap, pause, tap, pause, tap, pause, and that makes the horse run at a sustainable stride without losing stats, but it won't let the horse recover stats from 1 tap, for that you have to switch to 3 tap until stats recover. 3 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every third stride of the horse, tap, pause, pause, tap, pause, pause, tap, pause, pause, as the horse is running, and this is sustainable indefinitely, but is a little slower than 2 tap, and is really good for letting the horse make fast progress while recovering from 1 tap. That's how I do it, anyway.2 points

To Artur you listen! install it and play it at your NORMAL settings that already look good on ps4pro hdr enabled games like spiderman. we have all messed with our settings soo much that a lot of us canβt get back.2 points

I noticed in the clip that your horse's stamina core is depleted. It's blinking to call your attention to that. Running up and down mountains full speed with a dead buck on its back, and no wonder it's complaining to you. The game is not broken -- it is trying to tell you something.2 points

Exactly. Random people will join the forum to get the information they want with no respect towards others and unfortunately get away with it. People have to realize we are normal people, not Rockstar support. We talk and be civil about the game, we are not wizards and we do not run off magic and automatically solve issues. If something is seriously wrong, and you did everything in your power to fix it and it doesn't work, contact Rockstar and report the bug. We are definitely not the people to get mad at.2 points

I swear, I've gone almost a whole year getting on with everyone and then in just this week I've already added 4 to my ignore list. ....first time I've had to use it in these forums.2 points

First and foremost, welcome to the forum angry stranger. Also, you might have a corrupted game save. In this case, you started the actual game save you mentioned that takes you to where you left off, but no guns and DLC. Since you know how to "Play" maybe earn them back? If your that pissed about it and you have no choice but to continue the story with no DLC guns or horse, maybe do the gold duplicate glitch. You earn $15,000 when you do the glitch, and you can repeat the glitch until you have all the money you can think about. That way, you don't have to worry about getting money. However, if the DLC items mean that much to you, since you paid extra for it, you might just have to restart the game. It's shocking all of your DLC content is there when you start a new game, but your DLC items aren't there when you continue where you left off? Doesn't make much sense. Again, I recommend deleting the DLC files and re-installing and keep trying. If you did your best, then just do the gold duplicate glitch and save the time of making money and just get money instantly. Unless the DLC items mean that much to you, then restart the game. YOUR CALL. Not to mention my advice is small talk because it's a simple solution. I had many people make a post about lost DLC items, and they resolved it using the method I just explained to you. I know how to play the game to sir, I beat the entire game a while ago, so I am on the forum a lot, so I have nothing BUT time, no need for me to save it.2 points

watching the gameplay trailer in 4k on youtube I noticed that the blur was not present at all while it is apparently images from the pro version, I also noticed that the view used in the trailers was the 2nd sight just the one after the FPS view off I just tested on my tv 4k on ps4 pro and this is certainly the most blurred view of all. FPS and 3rd sight remain the best to mitigate the blur. I will also take screenshots during precise gameplay scenarios exactly with the same weather and compare between the game ps4 pro now released for a week and the famous trailers all beautiful without blur.2 points

This happened to me, and I have the digital version. First, close application on your system, and go to the main Red Dead Redemption 2 game page. Scroll down until you see add-ons, then you should see your DLC there, or go to your downloads or purchased items. However, if your on XBOX, steps may be different but should be similar. Once you see your DLC files, they should be already installed, delete the files, and reinstall. Once you reinstall the files, go back into Red Dead Redemption 2 and then start the game. Once you are loaded, go to the stables, and your horse will be there. (your welcome). If this doesn't work, do it again. Also, as for the weapons, they should be accessible in the gunsmith if you BOUGHT them. If however, you did not buy them, it's not your gun, and you will not be getting them back. However, if you did buy the gun from the gunsmith, go get your horse back from the stables in the steps I showed above. (it automatically comes with the saddle) and then once you and the horse exits the stable, get off your horse, and choose L1 to pick from your horse saddle of inventory of weapons, and it should be there if you purchased it. Once you have your gun, you should still have your customized weapon, if not, go into the gunsmith, and the custom attachments should already be listed as "owned" and you just select it back. Get back to me if it works, and I hope this helps you guy. Good luck π2 points

Folks, Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. Got the discs. Game downloaded. Lets roll. Sign in as me. Hit A to go to story mode. Here's the problem. It gets stuck either on the picture screen and the intro pages will come up telling us that the west is being destroyed. Then it goes back to the pictures, which continue to roll, or the screen is black, and the little revolver chamber in the corner is spinning. That's as far as I get. Reinstalled multiple times, unplugged it, plugged it back in, cleared caches. I use a harddrive to store it, its only at 24% capacity. Is it the disc? Is it me? Please help.1 point

Grow up kid, says the person who can't spell millennial. You do realize that millenials are now aged 22-37, right? The kids/teenagers of today are not millenials. Anyway, it is amazing how many people are just immediately jumping to "derp must be another bug derp!" as if this is the first open world game to ever have some bugs (which I personally have not experienced but I'm sure some have, but legs stop going overboard about it)1 point

I wouldn't say they are "lying" but simply made a mistake. The stables are linked but I believe (and don't call me a liar because I'm not sure ) that you are limited to only 4. .....which makes sense since they are linked, yeah?1 point

If there is an error in one of our guides we will fix it ASAP, but as @Skysaw said we are not trying to lie, I promise π€₯1 point

So my funny story is that I killed a Legendary creature, but had no idea what it was good for. Fearing I would lose it, I found out that someone could use it to make me something, and I was like okay, I'll go there. But I was broke, so I knew I'd need money for it, so I went on and got a boat, did this huge fishing trip where I got like tons of money worth of fish, then went to sell them for cash. Finally, I had everything I needed. So I leave there, go halfway around the world to get to where I needed to go .. jump a fence, and KILL SOMEONE with my horse that I didn't even see when I'm running through a corn field - note to sell, don't do that again lol. So, now there's a witness, and I'm like .. ffs ... now I have to do something about that or I'll never get my pelt to where I want to take it because they'll be out hunting for me. So I am like .. I'm not losing this freaking thing after all the work I went to to get it, so that witness is toast .. but ... I'm too close to a place where I can't use weapons, and I can't intimidate him there, so now what ? I chase him! All the way to the Sherriff's office! And then by some MIRACLE I still don't understand, as we both go into the sherriff's office, the witness LEAVES, and then I just say hello the sheriff, and then ... okay, nothing happens. So I'm like .. okay, and I leave again, then I continue my trip on horse and I'm like dammit nothing is going to stop me getting this thing there, ... and then all of a sudden once I'm approaching a major population center BAM! I'm wanted! And like everybody in the whole freaking map starts chasing me for this murder, and everywhere I go there are people looking for me, but dammit I'm not stopping, I'm going to get this thing to where it's going. So finally, after dodging all these people, I get there ... and &^%$ I don't have enough money! So now I'm like dammit I have to get more money, and I leave, then an opportunity comes and I take it and earn enough for what I want ... go back ... and it turns out that what I could use the pelt for was something I didn't even want! So I'm like well now what ? So how does it end ? I sold the pelt, and it wasn't even worth enough to pay the bounty.1 point

ACodyssey, as much as I enjoyed it, is a buggy mess. It got lower scores because it's a 40 hour game spread across 60 hours due to fillers and repetitive activities. Red Dead has a much higher development value. I have not run into any bugs with the game compared to the countless in AC: Odyssey. In Odyssey they couldn't even get the live events working, and even when I managed to get the epic ship quest, it was removed from my quest log before I could even finish it locking me out of it completely. Plus the whole time I was playing it, after update 1.03 the merc system was bugged to the point that it didn't even work during my whole time of beating the campaign. On top of that it was poorly optimized, especially on PC. Origins I was able to run the game at 4k 30fps, where I could not do the same for Odyssey even though it was on the same engine. Try pulling a torch out while in a cave and watch your frames drop by 20 points. It was just a buggy mess overall. RDR2 on the other hand, though not perfect, has been a much smoother experience, better fleshed out with more variety and more systems. The graphics trump Odyssey and run at a much smoother frame rate. Now unfortunately because of the eye candy that it is, the base systems do struggle a lot more, but that would be a given because of the sub pare hardware that it has to run on. Xbox One has never been 1080p and always ran games at 900p or less. It's a given that the game struggles the most on that system. The time and quality of this game deserves a perfect score, because no game can be 100% perfect and bug free, but the amount of time this game was given, and quality that has been put into it, including the 500k plus lines of dialog and everything this games offers is why this game is scored so high compared to something like Odyssey that wasn't given the same amount of time and quality.1 point

I hope you didn't interpret my previous comment as criticism, I whole-heatedly agree that the major strength to the game mechanics are the free form exploration and attention to detail. In fact I stayed awake playing for over thirty hours straight due to how immersive and interesting the world is when I first got the game. There are some minor tweaks however that could help streamline certain tasks without ruining the immersion (easier fast travel, map filters etc). I often do the same as you, I'm on the start of chapter three yet I've gotten all of the camp and satchel upgrades, as well as most of the legendary beasts and challenges completed. I'm constantly getting distracted (especially by the hunting mechanics) and so far the game is exceeding my expectations.1 point

I think the weapon wheel fists is meant simply to disarm yourself. If you select fists via the weapon wheel, to my knowledge, R2 doesn't enable you to punch, that is strictly circle. Your circle button may need to be cleaned as it triggers periodically while pressing triangle to dismount.1 point

Weird. I've never once punched my horse in my countless hours of play. I guess my Arthur is just too much of an animal lover.1 point

I agree 100%. I hate going into town for anything now. This morning I was riding my horse through Valentine and of course some NPC gets in the way, and although I tried to avoid them, I ended up getting a bounty for 'unarmed assault'. Tried to surrender, and thought it was going well, until the Sheriff told me to leave....ok, so I'll leave. Better than getting a bounty. BUT WAIT! DO NOT leave town on your horse!!! I was willing to leave, and my character even said "Ok, no problem", or something like that, and as soon as I got on my horse, 5 or 6 red dots show up and kill me. And additionally, even though I died, I still had to pay the bounty. Hate this aspect of the game.1 point
-
No idea why they removed Liar's Dice, but I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it. So far as the unfair bounties go, well... things weren't necessarily so fair in the old West. If someone sees you shoot somebody, they might not necessarily know you had a good reason. Plenty of folks were and are still jailed unfairly, no? I know that doesn't necessarily justify the game mechanic, but thinking about it in those terms have really helped my personal enjoyment of the game. I stopped thinking "the game is unfair!", and started thinking "the law is unfair!" -- followed by "I'll make those suckers pay, dammit!"1 point

If it gives you the option to download them, then you don't have them installed. If you do have them installed and they are still not appearing in the game, quit Red Dead Redemption 2 and close the application entirely. Then go to your add-on's and then hit the options button on the controller, delete the files, and then re-install the files. Then after you did that, restart the game, and you should have it.1 point

Yellow means it's fortified, and that you can use it as much as you want without it draining as long as its yellow. And tonics don't restore your Cores, eating provisions do (that's why eating the beets improved your health Core). Tonics restore the circle around the core that drains when it's being used. The actual meters for Health, Stamina and Dead Eye are the circles around each icon. The icons are your Cores, and how much those are filled determines how fast your meters (the circles) regenerate It was confusing for me at first also1 point

The idea of a Freeroam where you can have PVP but it's still more or a less a friendly atmosphere sounds great but we as gamers can never have that, we can't have nice things because collectively we're a bunch of turds. We're cattle in Rockstar's corral, if they opened the gates and said "Okay, we're opening the gates but if you leave before we count to ten the game will be broken for weeks". Would we collectively listen? Of course we wouldn't, the game would break immediately. They tried to make a hybrid of Friendly and Normal Freeroam in GTA Online by introducing Passive Mode but that just broke the game. It's like going to the cinema and expecting to enjoy the film when everyone watching the film with you has a pause button they can use at anytime. This would be cool, I remember playing a game with my friends in Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer where we would turn our maps off, select one of the many cattle rustlers or misc criminals in Outfitter and walk around Thieves' Landing trying to kill eachother. I don't think anything like this will be possible in Red Dead Online though as we're going to have a more in-depth character customisation system instead of character skins and from what I've seen the NPCs will probably look very different from our online characters. Even if you couldn't differentiate between an NPC and another player by looks alone you'd still be able to spot other players pretty easily in most scenarios. Player 1: "Damn, he ran into this town. He could be anyone of the people here, how we gonna find him?" Player 2: "I see him, he's down the street teabagging a dead horse."1 point
