I'm weirdly aroused.

I have asked the same question to myself many times. Most of us just want to have a civil conversation and help each other, not get bashed on because your information isn't helping.

Way to go being a complete jerk to someone is only trying to help you find a solution. What is it with some of these people lately who have been joining up in the last few days?

My funny story is there's a regular "Stranger" NPC that often appears in the Saloon in Valentine (with the barber) who looks like a typical mountain man/trapper. He's a big boy too. He's always drunk and starts in on me and then starts a fight. First time, he kicked my ass, my screen flashes DEAD. I respawn outside down the street. Then another time I played, I see him in the bar again, this time he's standing at the bar. Same thing, he starts a fight and beats my ass to death. By this point, I'm thinking there's a reason this is happening, and I start thinking that if I beat him, something cool will happen... Another time I go there and there he is again! Same attitude, but this time I avoid him long enough to have a few meals of lamb at the bar in an effort to gain weight. After like 4 meals, I make my way over to his table by the barber chair. A fight ensues. He's rocking Arthur, suddenly Arthur unholsters my Volcanic Pistol and starts pistol-whipping this big brute into the shadow realm. I FINALLY BEAT HIM!... But nothing happens, except I get a wanted level. I leave the area for a minute or two. Then another time, I see him again! I March up to his table, thinking I had to have earned his respect, I greet him and the bastard wants to go for round 4! I promptly left before fists and pistol grips flew lol! Nothing cool happened, turns out he's just an ass hole Hahaha!

For me riding falls into 3 "fast" modes ... 1 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every stride of the horse, tap, tap, tap, tap, and that makes the horse go very fast, but it also slowly loses stats and pants, this is the stride when you're running away from a pack of something that you simply won't be able to survive, and also when you just want to get somewhere in a hurry and you know the horse can rest when you get there. 2 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every other stride of the horse, tap, pause, tap, pause, tap, pause, tap, pause, and that makes the horse run at a sustainable stride without losing stats, but it won't let the horse recover stats from 1 tap, for that you have to switch to 3 tap until stats recover. 3 tap - this is where I tap the "X" every third stride of the horse, tap, pause, pause, tap, pause, pause, tap, pause, pause, as the horse is running, and this is sustainable indefinitely, but is a little slower than 2 tap, and is really good for letting the horse make fast progress while recovering from 1 tap. That's how I do it, anyway.

To Artur you listen! install it and play it at your NORMAL settings that already look good on ps4pro hdr enabled games like spiderman. we have all messed with our settings soo much that a lot of us can’t get back.

I noticed in the clip that your horse's stamina core is depleted. It's blinking to call your attention to that. Running up and down mountains full speed with a dead buck on its back, and no wonder it's complaining to you. The game is not broken -- it is trying to tell you something.

hello I'm Italian, I have a ps4 pro ... I'm playing the game on a sony 55xe9305 tv I proceeded to calibrate hdr in the game at 500 ... but nothing is too blurred ... you know something on a patch. thank you

Exactly. Random people will join the forum to get the information they want with no respect towards others and unfortunately get away with it. People have to realize we are normal people, not Rockstar support. We talk and be civil about the game, we are not wizards and we do not run off magic and automatically solve issues. If something is seriously wrong, and you did everything in your power to fix it and it doesn't work, contact Rockstar and report the bug. We are definitely not the people to get mad at.

I swear, I've gone almost a whole year getting on with everyone and then in just this week I've already added 4 to my ignore list. ....first time I've had to use it in these forums.

First and foremost, welcome to the forum angry stranger. Also, you might have a corrupted game save. In this case, you started the actual game save you mentioned that takes you to where you left off, but no guns and DLC. Since you know how to "Play" maybe earn them back? If your that pissed about it and you have no choice but to continue the story with no DLC guns or horse, maybe do the gold duplicate glitch. You earn $15,000 when you do the glitch, and you can repeat the glitch until you have all the money you can think about. That way, you don't have to worry about getting money. However, if the DLC items mean that much to you, since you paid extra for it, you might just have to restart the game. It's shocking all of your DLC content is there when you start a new game, but your DLC items aren't there when you continue where you left off? Doesn't make much sense. Again, I recommend deleting the DLC files and re-installing and keep trying. If you did your best, then just do the gold duplicate glitch and save the time of making money and just get money instantly. Unless the DLC items mean that much to you, then restart the game. YOUR CALL. Not to mention my advice is small talk because it's a simple solution. I had many people make a post about lost DLC items, and they resolved it using the method I just explained to you. I know how to play the game to sir, I beat the entire game a while ago, so I am on the forum a lot, so I have nothing BUT time, no need for me to save it.

watching the gameplay trailer in 4k on youtube I noticed that the blur was not present at all while it is apparently images from the pro version, I also noticed that the view used in the trailers was the 2nd sight just the one after the FPS view off I just tested on my tv 4k on ps4 pro and this is certainly the most blurred view of all. FPS and 3rd sight remain the best to mitigate the blur. I will also take screenshots during precise gameplay scenarios exactly with the same weather and compare between the game ps4 pro now released for a week and the famous trailers all beautiful without blur.

Glitches like this shouldn't be happening on a game so long in development.

This happened to me, and I have the digital version. First, close application on your system, and go to the main Red Dead Redemption 2 game page. Scroll down until you see add-ons, then you should see your DLC there, or go to your downloads or purchased items. However, if your on XBOX, steps may be different but should be similar. Once you see your DLC files, they should be already installed, delete the files, and reinstall. Once you reinstall the files, go back into Red Dead Redemption 2 and then start the game. Once you are loaded, go to the stables, and your horse will be there. (your welcome). If this doesn't work, do it again. Also, as for the weapons, they should be accessible in the gunsmith if you BOUGHT them. If however, you did not buy them, it's not your gun, and you will not be getting them back. However, if you did buy the gun from the gunsmith, go get your horse back from the stables in the steps I showed above. (it automatically comes with the saddle) and then once you and the horse exits the stable, get off your horse, and choose L1 to pick from your horse saddle of inventory of weapons, and it should be there if you purchased it. Once you have your gun, you should still have your customized weapon, if not, go into the gunsmith, and the custom attachments should already be listed as "owned" and you just select it back. Get back to me if it works, and I hope this helps you guy. Good luck 😎

Folks, Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. Got the discs. Game downloaded. Lets roll. Sign in as me. Hit A to go to story mode. Here's the problem. It gets stuck either on the picture screen and the intro pages will come up telling us that the west is being destroyed. Then it goes back to the pictures, which continue to roll, or the screen is black, and the little revolver chamber in the corner is spinning. That's as far as I get. Reinstalled multiple times, unplugged it, plugged it back in, cleared caches. I use a harddrive to store it, its only at 24% capacity. Is it the disc? Is it me? Please help.

It seems painfully obvious after playing it a while, and reading the threads here and elsewhere, that whilst being a groundbreakingly huge and fun game, rdr2 is very glitchy and buggy, and some of the bugs are truly game breaking. The stuff on the PS is especially crazy. The special edn issues are also very worrying. additionally, there are some game systems (witnesses, bounties, some controls, cinematic mode) which are a bit broken or need tweaking, and there are complaints that the missions are structurally repetitive. All of which raises three questions for me: 1) Given the length of development time how did all of this get past QC? 2) Why did so many reviewers give it a perfect score - surely these issues drop it down to a more realistic 9/10 or less? 3) When are they going to patch? Can they fix it, or is it broken beyond repair?

I hate to ask this NOW... are all of us who are having this problem playing on an LG OLED? 🤔

Yep. Not playing at all... Can stand It for More than few minutes. Weekend coming, no patch, no hot fix, not a great situation.

I haven't seen this in game, but I recognize what it's supposed to be immediately.

While you're focusing on someone, the game tries to keep Arthur turned and facing them. This can be a problem if you're riding by too fast and close to them, since it will try to turn him quickly to keep facing the person. It's best to slow to a crawl before interacting, especially if you are getting very close. When riding with the gang, you have two options: 1. Use cinematic camera, which will almost always have Arthur ride intelligently, and avoid obstacles. It's not 100%, especially if you haven't bonded with your horse well, but it's pretty good in my experience. 2. Ride manually, and make occasional course corrections. This will allow you to look around where you like and get a clearer sense of what's going on, but you have to be a little more vigilant.

Yeah, I use guides more for mechanics and general tips than for missions unless I'm totally stuck and about to give up.

Good points. I only seem to be able to punch when confronted to do so as in a brawl or something. My PS4 is only a week old so I don't think the buttons are dirty. Just have to stay away from that circle button when I'm near my horse I guess lol

Another glitch in the horse mechanics. More to come I'm sure. Don't understand how hitting a little branch, or in this case a sign, at 1 mph would make me topple over like that, but anyhow. It's what my horse does after that is the main point of this video. Would rather use the horses from RDR. Sure, they take off on you, and run by you and up a wall when you whistle, but at least I could go faster than 2 mph. And when you whistle, they actually come. My horse just takes a few steps towards me and makes me do all the work...I have to run over to him unless I want to wait 15 minutes for his lazy a$$ to get to me.

Haha, that poor horse. To be fair, the AI was hardly going to be able to sort that rock/tree combo out.

I think the weapon wheel fists is meant simply to disarm yourself. If you select fists via the weapon wheel, to my knowledge, R2 doesn't enable you to punch, that is strictly circle. Your circle button may need to be cleaned as it triggers periodically while pressing triangle to dismount.

I agree 100%. I hate going into town for anything now. This morning I was riding my horse through Valentine and of course some NPC gets in the way, and although I tried to avoid them, I ended up getting a bounty for 'unarmed assault'. Tried to surrender, and thought it was going well, until the Sheriff told me to leave....ok, so I'll leave. Better than getting a bounty. BUT WAIT! DO NOT leave town on your horse!!! I was willing to leave, and my character even said "Ok, no problem", or something like that, and as soon as I got on my horse, 5 or 6 red dots show up and kill me. And additionally, even though I died, I still had to pay the bounty. Hate this aspect of the game.

No idea why they removed Liar's Dice, but I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it. So far as the unfair bounties go, well... things weren't necessarily so fair in the old West. If someone sees you shoot somebody, they might not necessarily know you had a good reason. Plenty of folks were and are still jailed unfairly, no? I know that doesn't necessarily justify the game mechanic, but thinking about it in those terms have really helped my personal enjoyment of the game. I stopped thinking "the game is unfair!", and started thinking "the law is unfair!" -- followed by "I'll make those suckers pay, dammit!"

how do you delete the files and reinstall them i go to it and the only option it gives me is download the add ons

Some arrogant Frenchie was sitting next to me, and he ALWAYS beat me. So I turned his head into a canoe.

I use two horses. One is my main horse which is so faithful he can't be made any more faithful, lots of petting, sugar treats, petting him while riding, leading him around, I did it all to suck up to that horse. Second horse are ones I just randomly find in game, and I'll do the same while riding them, whistling for my main horse to follow where ever I go. Once I get the horse a faithful and leveled up to 2 or 3, I'll typically sell it, for some reason it's worth more once you level it up. In the mean time I ride the secondary horse to level it up, and use it to for hunting, with my primary being whistled along behind me. If you do this, make sure that you have the weapons you might need on you, because you can't switch weapons from the horse while you're on the secondary, you'll have to stop, get off, and go to your primary to change weapons. And ... of course ... don't forget to whistle for your main horse to follow as you're going around map! Side note, it's also a bit of a hassle to keep multiple horses fed and groomed. Edit, btw, in theory once you had the secondary horse leveled up and faithful, responding well to whistles, etc, you could get a third, fourth, etc, and when you whistle they'd all follow you around map, but it can actually be annoying sometimes to even have two horses doing this if you are in an area where they get in each other's way - like in town. Still, I haven't done it, but I bet it's hysterical to whistle and have like 50 horses come over lol.

Yes, we all started with pong. . Or space invaders at the arcade. But I don't think it too entitled to have a degree of legitimate disappointment in a game so delayed and hyped when it is found to be more buggy than it should have been, andhaving some systems that really should have been tweaked in play testing. 9/10. Good, but too buggy. And a few other faults. Close, but no cigar. But still an amazing game and well worth buying and sinking time into.

Glad to help It's really as if the game knows when you are trying for a challenge and blocks you, but when you just go about your business things come to you. Weird.

I second this. Take away the trophies but allow us to replay missions and save.

You aren't the only one who is waiting to play dude. It sucks but we will have our time. I am just hoping this DL doesn't take as long as I have heard it taking for others.
