Here we go....... 🙄 I never knew poor people were a race. You hit the nail on the head. Much better to roll it out than to launch with everyone on at once. RDO is going to be huge. I think this was a smart move to include this as a neat little perk for those who chose to buy the Ultimate edition and the fans / supporters who played at launch. Looks like I'll be playing on Wednesday since I bought the regular copy. I may have to stay away from the forums tomorrow so I can still have a sense of discovery when finally get to play myself.2 points

So I am riding along minding my own business and come across a shay deal being done off the side road. No one else around. So I step up to the plate, put my mask on, and at my arrival the deal goes south quick. Long story short, lots of bad people dead, no one lived but me. I loot steal the wagon, poor horses no longer have owners, so I take them to a place to find them a new home. Riding along a minute or so down the road and take off the mask, immediately get a bounty for $450+. No saw me, COME ON! That happened twice. So on the last attempt, I leave the mask on all the way to the Fence. Boom no Bounty. So my question is why exactly does a man riding around without a mask, "Yep, I bet that 's the guy whol killed all those men and stole their wagon" TWICE vs "Hey look there is a guy riding in a wagon filled dynamite with a mask on, being followed by a Arabian horse with blood all over his nice clothes carrying a bloody stone ax, pulling into Emerald Ranch at the Fence there. I doubt he's a bad guy that deserves a bounty." To be clear, I "dead eyed" the bad guys no sign of blood on me the 1st two times. Last time I went total Jason Vorhees with the stone ax. No witnesses anytime of the 3 tries. Can anyone explain this to me?2 points

I dont know if this is news to anybody but Red Dead is going online this week. https://kotaku.com/red-dead-online-goes-live-this-week-18306554712 points

I reckon its simply because its a beta, gradual introduction of numbers over several days, saves crashes, and allows them to monitor and possibly adjust setting their end to accommodate us ..2 points

Veteran from the Old RDR1 online (god, I miss my zeedonk). My tag on XB1 is SirWeasel and I am looking forward to recognising some of your tags online. Thought I would join because after looking through the forums you all seem decent enough folks. I am a Brit, but my name is not Gavin1 point

Try entering the area quietly. I've only gotten this message if I was being hunted, or if I was too loud and spooked the animals. Keep in mind they made hunting fairly realistic. The animals react how they actually would IRL (for the most part).1 point

Just to clarify..... It's not going live for most people tomorrow. It is a staged release.....1 point
-
Totally agree..if there is no mention of a patch for the blur..I think a petition could be made at this stage.1 point
-
not really sure how someone can play this online with the existing blur, depth of field issues. I mean it's sometimes really difficult borderline impossible to see the enemies in the distance. How it is gonna play out is beyond me. I guess we shall see. on a different note, if this was UBISOFT or EA, imagine the amount of poop they would have gotten from public and media but R* are somehow getting away with it. talk about enchantment.1 point

it was separate, although they had your "cash" (money in hand) and they had your money that was in the bank.1 point
-
Yeah, well..... They had a 1 in 5 chance. Just keep in mind however that the release is staggered and will depend if you have the Ultimate edition or when you first started playing RDR2. So the release isn't actually Tuesday unless you bought the Ultimate version. It will be Wed thru Fri for everyone else.1 point

Get out! Only cats are allowed and that nightmare of a man doesn't count. His nails aren't even real! For damn shame man.1 point

I would imagine it is separate from offline money. Or maybe they allow you to use only a percentage of what you earned during the story? Not really sure.1 point

I found a trick when i did this the first time. restored my game a while back to get my horse back and i'm on this same challenge now. You'll know if he's an enemy, it won't register distance on people who aren't enemies.1 point

....same here (barring any issues with being recognized as such). Worse case, at least by Friday.1 point

Seems legit, truly hope it is ... Weird release system, but can see the sense in it, especially as it a beta version1 point

Hmmmmm.... How can I put this without disappointing you........ There is no Santa Clause and Google is just a search engine. Unless you see a source that is reputable / official with news about RDO, take it with a large grain of salt. If RDO was online, there would be news from R* and other, well known, trustworthy news sources.1 point

Okay so this my first time playing any Rockstar game and holy **** are they fun. I was in Valentine for some reason and this prostitute asks me for help, wanting some ho or points/money I agreed. She wanted me to dispose of a body into a pig pen, weird and risky but it was night time and I really needed the money. So I pick the dead body up, go to the pig pen and leave the gate open (which is dumb of me); one of the ****ing pig escapes and decided to catch him after u drop the body in the pen. I lasso the pig and some bitch reports that as a crime - so I shoot him. Now some other dude saw me shoot him and runs off to the sherif and soon enough like the whole ****ing police department is after me, I kill like 6 of the ****ing officers and then die giving me a $300 bounty. Which ****ing sucks because I only have $150 and was wanting to save up to pimp our my horse. So I’m just exploring parts of the map near black water and some O’driscols are robbing a stagecoach, I intervene and save the dude and he says I can loot the stagecoach and take it with me (which I do) as I’m taking the stagecoach back to Horseshoe overlook I get jumped by O’driscols or bounty hunters I don’t remember and I die. I come back and I see that the stagecoach is parked next to the other horses and decided to sell it later, once I come back it’s gone. So now I get jumped by bounty hunters frequently and the whole town of Valentine like hates me. So my questions are: if I pay off my bounty do the people like me again and how can I make money fast (in a legal way but I’m okay to do some illegal sh*t)1 point

Stop shooting people in towns. If you want to avoid high bounties and keep your money, avoid weapons in town completely. Especially against lawmen. Surrender at every opportunity. Spend a couple nights in jail and you only pay 80% of the bounty! Best advice I can give is don't treat this as a shooter. Trying to shoot your way out of situations will always result in high bounties and/or death, which also costs you. Play it straight and you should accumulate cash pretty quick.1 point

You know...now that I finished the game I wish there was an option where you could like....sit by some tree...pull out an instrument (harmonica, banjo, etc) and just play the cords of different songs...could be a nice way to appreciate the environment. (just saying) REPLY1 point

Replay the game, partake in some of the other activities you may not have during the first playthrough (those that are still available), etc. If you're hung up on keeping your character totally "good", create a save and then start trying some of the activities that this game is all about (outlaws for life). .....try robbing stores, trains, people, etc. Try getting better at those activities so you're ready for online. RDO is on the horizon so that will also have things you can do solo, coop or against other players in the game world. It's not as if the game dies after the campaign. .......unless you're completely against the online experience before we even have details of what it will consists of. IMO, my friends and I can't wait to play together (co-op) when RDO arrives.1 point
