  1. So, as a huge fan of the Single player, there is a couple of things i WISH, and hope they will include in the final RDO. These are just... A couple of realism inputs, and when the beta is over, and they fix all the glitches, lags, connection issues. What do you guys think? (I already made a feedback wish to Rockstar) - More life in the world (Like we saw in singleplayer) - More life in the cities (In small towns = Gun standoffs, and in the BIG cities common bar fight, and invite to a fight (The one in Saint denis with charles, etc) - Bring back the Single player stranger popups on the map, like the "Snake Suck Bite - Bear Trap - Woman Kidnapping) So on. - Bring in the minigames (Often placed in citys) , Like blackjack, poker, finger fillet, domino. etc. (I know the real life gambling issue, but that could be fixed by using ingame dollars) - House Building (i know it aint the sims, but somehow like the Epilogue with John) , and ofcourse to own propety and collect dollars. - Be able to ROB the stores, Houses and etc. Right now almost every house i entered, is empty. - Bring back real life beard & Hair Growth. - Lets be honest, that feature was awesome!! - And also do trimming in camp! Including shave! - Bring in a FEW voice spoken dialogs for your character. When you meet other players in the free roam, would be cool with a "Hey Mister, Hey Partner" or something!!? - More Gun twirling animations! - The one thats already there, is totaly awesome! - Able to bath, and maybe include a brothel! (In GTA there was prostitues, why not in RDO? - Afterall.. back then, that was a thing!) These where the things i just had in mind while playing the beta so far, having in mind its a beta ofcourse, i just hope they still go with the realism part. Am i way of hand here? šŸ˜‚

  2. If you are playing on PS4 and get griefed, when you respawn immediately crouch so that your griefer cannot see you. Pull up the player list with your left directional button. Locate the griefer on the list and click on them. Choose the option to see their PSN profile. Once there, choose the "..." option at the right and click on "Block". Log out and log back into the game. You will never see that player ever again. I did that on the first two days of playing. I blocked about 10 people. Now I am on servers without any di*ks, I have been playing all day today -- everyone is cool. The PvP griefers are a tiny asinine minority. At least so far, until R* puts in a more concrete way to deal with them like private lobbies, this method at least eliminates the griefers after one event with you. Like I said, after a couple of days and about 10 griefers getting blocked, I've been able to play peacefully all day today without anyone causing me any problems. I've had plenty of folks in my vicinity, but since I've been blocking the "must kill evah thing ah see" crowd, all of my fellow players have been peaceful and considerate.

  3. This game has amazing details. I was in Saint Denis helping the painter with an art show and noticed the pictures hanging on the wall they were the photographs I helped the other guy take, horses, alligator, etc...this one was from the very first side mission way before the painter even entered the game. I'm impressed with the story lines and plots of this game.

  4. Yeah, trolls aren't limited to just young kids. A lot of others are doing it too, including adults. R* chose to include and market all of these other elements into free roam like hunting, fishing, coop, solo play, story missions, side quests, etc. ......so yeah, I do expect that I can do these things with friends (or alone) and enjoy them. The issue is that trolls tend to dictate what players can do most times simply because the game lacks consequences for those that choose to troll. ....and currently lacks alternatives for those that don't wish to be exposed to their grief-like actions. I'm quite confident R* will introduce invite-only sessions and perhaps passive options, etc. to mitigate the issue. In the end, that's all that matters to me. EDIT: btw, R* just posted this a few minutes ago on Twitter: I think most can read between the lines here that complaints about griefing is at the root of this response. ....and they continue to say:

  6. It is maybe important for people to realise that I do not ever return to posts, that I do not take part in debates. So this is a statement of my view of this game on-line ... I think what I think and there you go.... Only you upset yourself, not me. The classic way to present a topic when speaking or when writing is: Tell them what you are going to tell them... Tell them ….... Tell them what you have told them Tell them ….. Red Dead On-line is severely and mysteriously flawed.... Mysterious because the original story mode must be one of the greatest all time games of the RP genre... Severely flawed because: Yup, Dup, Hup and other such weird and overly loud noises are uttered by ones character to your horse.... Yet the character is otherwise mute …... Why is the character mute? It is ludicrous, there is no possible reason for it.... Whilst I do not expect him or her to give a speech at the UN Security council... The odd 'Howdy', Thank you', 'Yes' & 'No' would be useful and more realistic Why is it so hard to earn any money? One robs a stagecoach for it's silver, you deliver said silver and gain $2.50 and 0.05 of a bar of gold..... What? Why not keep the silver? …. Then I get attacked out of the blue by a band of O'Driscolls... My looting the subsequent dead did not even give me enough to pay for the Horse Reviver @$9.50 which I had to use when they shot my horse. It is $20+ for a bandanna in game .... which nicely sets the tone for the utterly stupid high prices of everything from clothes to guns to horses... to the camp What is it with the camp? Why does it cost? Why does it never appear where I am but two KM's away? Why can I not sleep there? Why does the white flag not cover me across the game? Because I have zero interest in any interaction with anything but Ai... Myself I despise people in real life, I do not wish to interact with them in any fashion in a game or anywhere else. Why do the Sheriff tasks require 2-4 players, not 1-4 players? I do not want to mix with anyone, play with anyone or be entertainment for anyone... Nor do I wish anyone else to be my entertainment... I just want to be left alone. I want to pay MY money and play MY game..... 100% alone. What is it with the horses? Firstly why the nag, when your main horse is tucked up in the stable? What is the point of that? When returning to on-line, the nag appears... why? Why can I not steal and saddle horses? Why is it I cannot capture wild horses and either saddle them or even sell them? Why when I go on a mission does it come up ā€œOther players can now attack you!ā€ - Why? Do they wish to take the whole $2.60 I am earning maybe? Reality is that I am already making next to no money and now I have to waste more bullets? Why can't I get a bath or sleep in a hotel? For what possible reason does this make sense? Today the map has been basically clear, a couple of pink dots this morning and since then, nothing – GOOD … But why? Have I found some magic setting by accident? What gives? I am sure there are many other issues but these are the initial ones which personally strike me ..... It's too expensive in game, way too hard to make money and it has some very confused game play when the 'story' is so beautifully put together. Whilst refusing to play GTA V on-line because of all the toxic little fools, we all know it has Shark cards …. Maybe RDR2 On-Line will have Bandit cards starting at maybe $100 to buy with your credit card ..... Then you might be able to get a proper horse, a change of clothes, a decent gun or two and even a bandanna. Yes I have certainly complained to Rock Star on the complaints, my apologies, ā€œfeedback pageā€ but as I told them..... 500 characters to complain about this deeply flawed article of a game is not sufficient; 50,000 would be far more useful.

  7. Go to Riggs station at night, pretty common find if you leave a few carcasses around. Riggs station is surprisingly one of the better hunting locations in the game, you can get badgers, skunks, opossums, foxes, wolves, deer, hawks and of course the owl. Travelling just down the path toward the river then back up usually forces fresh spawns too.

  8. Allow me to play "Devil's Advocate" regarding Auto-Aim. Seems like a large portion of players detest Auto-Aim as "no skill", "trolls" etc. "Get good" you may think. I'd like to take this opportunity to direct your attention to something that has always lurked in the dark of the gaming world, since its inception. There are many disabled gamers who may rely on Auto-Aim. Myself included. Yes, you may not have remembered or realized - I am extremely physically disabled. Lately there (finally!) has been a push from the disabled community about game accessibility and developers are finally starting to take notice. Look at Microsoft's revolutionary Xbox Adaptive Controller (or "XAC"). Or Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Insomniac's Spider-Man, or Square Enix's Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Even Red Dead Redemption 2 has incorporated some accessibility options such as switching Taps to Hold, Subtitles/Speaker labels and varying degrees of Auto-Aim/Aim Assist. As a disabled gamer - I use every option Rockstar has provided. Does it still seem fair to arbitrarily remove Auto-Aim entirely from Red Dead Online? That would put me, and many others of varying abilities out of luck completely. Might I suggest folks get behind the idea of providing Private "Hardcore" Servers? Private servers are most assuredly coming. Have patience please - it's still a beta. Don't scream so loud about removing something disabled gamers are literally fighting for, Inclusion. Like most game modes in GTA: Online, you can probably lock the rules to Free Aim and First/Third Person views for added challenge. Thanks for reading.

  10. Another trick that I use if I come upon a large flock of birds all peacefully sitting somewhere, use your Dead Eye to target as many as possible. It tends to increase to number killed.

  11. As of today, the Red Dead Online beta is open to all players who own Red Dead Redemption 2 as per the rollout schedule. This no doubt means there will be a sudden population boom, and more players means more questions. In the early days of the beta, we have bee posting guides that touched upon specific mechanics of the game. However, if you need help in how to get started in the first place, you've come to the right place. Our other guides on Red Dead Online: Money Making Abilities Ranking Up Honor and Wanted Systems Fast Travel I've Made My Character, What Now? Red Dead Online is much more free-form than the story mode is, allowing you to access just about all activities right off the bat. In very basic terms, your role in Red Dead Online is to rank up and get rich. Ranking up allows you to unlock cool new abilities, features and items, while getting rich allows you to purchase those items, as well as various upgrades. Incidentally, both of these goals can be achieved by doing any activity in the game. Basically, everything you do will grant you XP and money, though woefully small amounts of the latter. Some activities also yield gold nuggets, 100 of which adds up to a Gold Bar. Right now progress in terms of money and item acquisition is slow, however chances are Rockstar will adjust the in-game economy before full release. How Do I Set Camp? If you are playing alone, you will have access to what is called a Player Camp. Functionally, the Player Camp combines the permanent gang camp and the small makeshift camp Arthur can set up anywhere in story mode. If you camp down and fly a white flag, it will become a non-combat zone where you don't need to be afraid of getting jumped by other outlaws. In your camp, you have access to a number of character management and crafting menus. Your wardrobe will be accessible, you can rest and cook, and you can purchase items from the catalog and have them arrive in your delivery box if you buy the necessary upgrade - otherwise they will arrive at post offices. If you are part of a posse, you can also access the Posse Camp which has a greater range of functionality, and its decor is determined by the posse's chosen colors and emblem. How Do I Join A Posse? Red Dead Online can be played alone, but is best enjoyed with a posse. It's a multiplayer game for a reason, and your Wild Western antics will be all the more memorable if you have other gunslingers to share the fun with. Posses are Red Dead Online's take on a general clan or guild system used in other games, however it is rather unique and very different from other such mechanics. First of all, there are two kinds of posses in Red Dead Online. Temporary Posses and Permanent Posses. The former works more akin to a raid group, while the second is more in line with the guild analogy. A Temporary Posse is free to form and is maxed out at 4 players, but disbands when the session is disconnected. Permanent Posses are better suited to larger groups who play together regularly. Maxed at 7 players, Permanent Posses automatically reform when the posse leader and at least one other member are online at the same time in the same session. These cost some money to form, but allow you to access the posse camp and customize your gang colors and emblem. To join an existing posse, said posse needs to be set to "open". This can be done by pressing left on the d-pad and selecting a desired posse from the menu. To form a posse, you do the same, and then invite players. As a posse leader, you can set the privacy of the posse, and all members will automatically follow you if you switch sessions, begin a mission or join a Showdown Series game mode. Someone Keeps Killing Me, What Do I Do? Red Dead Online has an interesting but somewhat flawed system in place to deal with griefers. The Parley and Feud system allows you to deal with being repeatedly killed by the same opponent in two ways. After you got killed by a specific player several times in a short period of time while in free roam, you can choose to Parley which sets off a 10 minute timer during which the two of you can't harm one another. Feud, on the other hand, requires the agreement of both parties. This triggers a brief 3 minute window where you are put into a fair-fight situation and a score is kept on how many times you kill the other player. Theoretically, whoever wins will have displayed their dominance, putting an end to the griefing. In reality, griefers are unlikely to agree to this, and even if they do, they'd just continue doing the same thing after it ends regardless of who wins. The problem with Parley, on the other hand, is that if the griefer has mates, they can just as easily keep killing you. An easy fix would be that if the person you Parley with is in a Posse, the other members of the Posse are also part of that Parley. Sure, they could just exit the Posse, but you can't have a completely foolproof system. This could be discouraged by limiting how often you can leave and rejoin the same posse over and over again. My Horse Died, What Now? Horses in Red Dead Online can die, leaving you stranded without a means of transportation. The introductory mission of the game walks you through the process of Horse Insurance, which removes the respawn fee of the mount for a one-time down payment. If your horse is not insured, each time it dies you need to pay to have it revived at a stable. With insurance, this is free. Note that the cost of insurance depends on how high level the horse is, so the best horses will cost fortunes to insure. I've Encountered A Bug Or Have A Suggestion, Where Do I Report It?   13. I was really surprised at the amount of trolls and greifers in the online. I thought the majority of people playing would be mature. Thought it would be nothing like GTAO. Boy did I think wrong.

  14. Had a run in with a griefer tonight. I actually really enjoyed it though. Picture it, Heartlands, 1899... I was minding my own business, casually throwing knives at swarms of fish in a low spot on the river, watching them turn belly up and float to the surface for easy retrieval of knives and fish. when a Rank 4 shows up along the riverbank. I act neighbourly and wave, but I'm feeling cautious just the same. He waves back, a little too eagerly. Somethings up. Suddenly he crouches. I start to walk away slowly with my camera view focused on him as he pulls out his lasso. OK, it's ON. I let him take the first move, he lassoes me. I break free just before he can seal the hogtie. He's whistled for his horse. I stand up and give him a taste of my pump action shotgun, nice and close-like. He immediately spawns back in and rides full bore toward me, firing from horseback with his Carbine Repeater. I take aim with my shotgun and fire - hitting his horse in the face. Horse goes down, critically injured. I switch attention to him as he's trying to collect himself and spoonfeed him some more lead. I do what any good cowgirl would do - I finish his horse and release it from it's suffering. I don't feel much like showing off my "E-peen", as I'd rather this clown move on and lick his wounds elsewhere. I jog over to my nearby camp, as he's chasing me on horseback, shooting wildly and missing (for the most part). I emote "up yours" as he tries and fails to shoot me, and I laugh as his bullets phase through me. He tries his lasso again, but it too phases through. I emote "shoot-em up" for extra burn. I have a seat at my table and casually browse menus, the map, even leaving my bedroom to retrieve my phone to message him easier while still keeping an eye on him. "Wish we could play cards..." I say, implying my comfort at outwaiting him. He never replied, but he stayed seated across from me for 10 minutes (real time). I stood up and "flee'd" to his horse. He finally stood up and found a new world to harass. I scout the map to be sure he didn't send word to any friends, looks clear. I start walking back down to the river to "fish" when suddenly my entire minimap gets a red halo. I hear shouting and red dots encircle me. They caught me off guard but it appears like a band of NPC bandits, or maybe bounty hunters, since I killed that griefer twice. I take out a few, but they put me down twice before I finished them off. I probably killed about a dozen of them in total. The last kill was satisfying as I fired my repeater into the last enemies belly - he stumbled behind a tree, and I met him with my hunting knife, by way of tackling him and "execution" by a vicious throat slash. All the rest of the bodies disappeared due to the limited distance, so I only got to loot the last 3 bodies I killed down at the river. I got disconnected soon after. 😈

  15. Back in October dataminers had already revealed that RDR2 would include private sessions and "seamless PvE" (whatever the latter means). Their other leask proved to be true so it seems these will likely be as well. ....and given GTAVO has invite only sessions, I have confidence RDO will too.

  16. It is my understanding that a PSN block would achieve this. It basically disables the griefers' ability to network with you in any way whatsoever involving the PSN. They cannot send you messages, they cannot see your online status, and for this purpose -- they cannot be teamed up with you. You've seen how RDO's open world operates, it includes open chat with everyone on the server. PSN treats that as them being teamed with you (although the game also features "teams within teams" with the posse system). But the long and short of it is, in many years of playing on Playstations, I have never once seen a player that I blocked ever again. Today for the first time I was actually able to play in peace. Everyone on the server was just peacefully running missions, hunting, or whatnot. The few that wanted to open world PvP were actually mature and organized a specific location on the map for people that wanted to do that to go to and fight each other. But obviously PSN blocking is an imperfect system. It only lets you get rid of trolls after they've abused yourself or someone within your perception. Hopefully Rockstar will put in private lobbies or something like that very soon so that the hassle is eliminated to begin with.

  19. So today I get the on-line beta .... first part of it fine ... However the instant I go into Blackwater on free roam, immediate idiot fest...... Two little fools seperately attack me and kill me... because I am not even paying them attention. Why would I? This is why I NEVER play on-line, this is why i never payed GTA5 on line or COD on line or anything else on line...... If I wanted to mix with moronic idiots then I would go out and find some ... So unless Rockstar or whomever find some way to shut down the pond life... Then no thanks, not for me. If these puerile little ****s wish to fight there should be a process... a process in which I can refuse... Indeed there should be a menu choice which says "No interaction whatsoever with any other live player with an IQ below 140" That's my opinion and frankly I care less what anyone else thinks because I do not have the wiring to care.

  20. One of the more challenging activities you can encounter in Red Dead Online while in free roam is a Gang Hideout waiting to be cleared. These camps of enemy bandits pop up occasionally in fixed locations and clearing them carries with it the chance to acquire some valuable items or treasure maps. If you intend to complete challenge awards, you'll inevitably be directed towards these hideouts sooner or later. Gang hideouts can spawn in 24 locations. These spawn locations are fixed, but there is no guarantee that the camp will be there when you travel to the spawn point. Of the 24 locations, a few are just out in the open with no props in the game world indicating their presence unless they're spawned in. Thanks to a Reddit user who goes by Rock1Jump, we have a map showing each Gang Hideout spawn location. The two locations that the author marked as "makeshift camp" are the ones that aren't obvious unless the hideout has actually spawned in. When you clear gang hideouts, there is a chance that the gang leader will drop a treasure map that will lead to you valuable loot somewhere in the game world. The drop rate for the maps isn't known as of present, but it is definitely very low - some players report that after clearing 20 hideouts, they've encountered none, while others found just one after 12 cleared hideouts. At the same time, a few lucky players report drop rates of two out of two cleared hideouts or one out of four hideouts, but these seem like fortunate outliers - especially the former. Treasure chests can only be looted by the player who has the treasure map. The physical chest itself is visible to all players in the session and can be opened if they find it, but there will only actually be any loot inside if you have the map pointing to it, otherwise, it will be empty. Due to the sporadic drop rate, relying on treasure maps from hideouts isn't a good strategy for securing income. Instead, check out our money making guide for Red Dead Online.   21. @McLawDiz great points, I agree 100%. Everyone who responded had good points actually. Just to put in my two cents in addition to everyone else's suggestions .... (although some may have already been mentioned in this thread), my main concerns are... - Definitely get rid of the pink dots, maybe have an option to only see pink blips If those people are in your Posse or something. - Take the gamer ID logo hovering above my head. Again, maybe make it optional for those who want it, but I personally don't want to hide behind a rock when someone is chasing me down, and they know where I am because it says my username above my head. It's stupid get rid of it. Wouldn't it be nice to ride by someone, and not know if they were an NPC or not? - Stop moving my damn camp. I logged on yesterday, a million miles from my camp. It took me 20 minutes to get there, because I had to work my way around all those groups of three or four people who were evidently going to ambush me as the waypoint went right by them. As a result, I got literally 10 seconds away from arriving, and Cripps moved my Camp from Blackwater somewhere near the swamps. I don't need a babysitter. Let me move my camp where I want and when I want. - Bring in a better bounty system. If someone shoots you, put a hefty bounty on them, and make it available for other players to collect the bounty if they can get there before the law does. And if they don't have the money to pay it, implement a system where they have to spend a certain amount of time in jail or something . And maybe make it impossible for them to see you after you respawn for five minutes or something, so they can't just keep shooting you as soon as you respawn. - As several people mentioned in other posts as well, don't charge $1.50 for a can of beans and only give $1.00 or something for a gold wedding band. It doesn't make sense. Keep the same economy/prices as single player for buying and selling, I think that would be a big Improvement. - Have some missions that are available to do solo... I miss the original RDR where you could choose from a dozen or so gang hideouts and just go do them by yourself. Why are all the missions 2 to 4 players? Again, this is probably just a repeat of several other people's complaints. I have only put about 7 hours into online play, and I have not been shot yet... But I know it's coming. I've just been playing very conservatively, and sticking close to my camp and just doing some hunting and stuff nearby . I mean, what fun is that? Having to stay within 100 yards of your camp because of griefers? I have ridden by several players and just got very very lucky not being shot yet. I literally have not really had very much fun with this, because I'm just worried about getting ambushed. I've done two or three missions and got paid what I consider to be chump change. Not even worth the ammo I used. I know for a fact I have to join a posse which I'm looking for right now. These are just my main concerns... I have a ton of other ones that I won't list, just basic ones as already mentioned, like changing appearances and side missions and stuff would be a lot of fun. Hopefully Rockstar listen to the players opinions and take it into account. Until I find a posse, I don't know that I will be spending much time with the online. I have a feeling everything will be reset when beta is over and the full launch starts. Who knows? LOL

  22. A current solution I can suggest is to find friends to play with. Solo play is essentially a death sentence right now. Trolls prey on the weak and if you're alone, you're weak. .....safety in numbers my friend. Until they introduce invite-only sessions and/or some form of a passive option, this is your best bet IMO. Also, passive mode doesn't have to be the same as GTAO. There are ways they can have the mode where griefers would not be able to switch back and forth so easily. ....maybe not making the option switchable in the session? .....maybe switching could only be done while in your apartment / business? Anyhow, I won't play RDO in its current state alone.

  25. Fairly sure there's the option, I'll log in and check. I know you can buy any of the camp upgrades with gold. I think the level 90 tent or what have you was 800 something gold when I looked last night. Okay, you were correct, it doesn't work with weapons until the rank is unlocked. When the rank is unlocked you can use gold instead of cash, ie, I can buy the Repeating Shotgun for $724, or 29 gold. Tents are definitely rank skippable but apparently weapons are not. So, that's something.

No real comment regarding your criticisms, most of them are justified others less so due to it being the beta however do I have a question regarding "Today the map has been basically clear, a couple of pink dots this morning and since then, nothing – GOOD … But why? Have I found some magic setting by accident? What gives?". Basically clear or entirely empty? My session all day today I've had the map entirely to myself, it's been heaven. I've been wondering myself weather it's a bug or not.

  28. The permanent posse is like CEO / MC in GTA. Basically just without a business or office. You can stand down as a leader and join anyone else. There is a bug currently that drove me kinda mad and almost made me feel bad for paying those $200 for it. If you start the permanent posse, it might happen that it only shows 4 members. In order to be able to add 7, i had to expand my camp to large (this is only the first step) and then jump to a new session with my active posse (having members or not) to a new session. There will be a new option in online menu to do so. Once you end up in this new session with a large camp, it should be possible to have 7 members. A friend of mine had the same problem.

  29. Curious if the name of the game is RED DEAD or RED Hunter/Fisher and freely roam without consequence. I also hate getting killed for no reason but I did not buy this game to hunt (The Hunter Call of the Wild did that for me) and since I flyfish a ton IRL, I did not buy a shooting game for the fishing. Remove the blips, sure. Make the killing of others for no reason outside of a mission or in a duel a heavy bounty offense and makes the posses that form a viable thing to capture these western bad guys and bring them to justice. What would the purpose of Red Dead online be if we only hunted, fished and rode around? I don't find dragging your friends around after lassoing them to be any fun at all and boring as heck after doing it once or twice. So what other passive things would keep this online game fresh? Oh wait, maybe we could meet a member of the opposite sex and get married and raise kids....blah blah blah

  31. Ability to own dogs and use them to flush out animals for hunting would be great. The blips do need to be changed, maybe using a spotting system. They are only on the map if you have LoS or they're shooting, and then, only for a little bit if you lose LoS. It seems like I see other players horses just standing around more than I see NPCs, it does feel a bit empty, compared to single player especially. Tattoos would be nice, I know they had them back then, so why not. Just nothing unusual... animals, names, patterns, mythological creatures could be ok

  33. They are fun and pay better than the missions for the rates. You get cash, xp, and gold out of them. After playing a couple of hrs mixed free roam and series matches with a buddy, i am sitting at 1.49 with gold, 109.19 in cash and gained enough xp to reach level 13. They seem to pay the best if you factor in time and fun.

  34. Good question. My biggest caution is to anyone who has yet to play it, is to plan for all your character progress in RDO Beta to get wiped before it goes live. If one is okay with that, then check it out. The best thing I've learned form playing RDO, is that I really need to get my controller settings configured properly. In the sense of being able to play competitively with other people. For the single player experience, I used the default settings. That worked fine for me in single player mode. They do not work well against other people shooting at me. Most notably people seemed to be able to turn and aim faster and better that I can using the default settings. As of last night, I've been tinkering with the settings to find what works for me. And trying to find something I can set and use in both single player and RDO. RDO shows great promise. I'm really excited about the prospects. But there are also some potentially unfun things occurring. Hopefully R* will figure it out and deliver the fun.

The Varmint Rifle or a repeater are your best options for taking down birds." This, so many times this. Herons, varmint rifle, 3 feather per kill, 10 feathers - 15 dollars. All fits in your satchel, no chance to lose it. Turkeys, not so great but they're so prolific you may as well fill your bag with them, it'll take half a minute. Pelicans, 17.50? I think? For 10. There's something that goes for $20 for 10 feathers, can't remember what it is but it's near the pelicans and herons. Crescent something maybe? At any rate, 10 minutes along the San Denis shoreline during the day usually nets you $40-60. If you have the bolt action, grab a perfect alligator skin ( $3.50, but it all adds up ) and kill a few more to max out your Big Game Meat and Alligator Tooth's. Did not know buck pelts went for that much, that's actually a decent farm, given that they are prolific and that you can lasso them. Don't quote me on this but I believe only deer / bucks are lassoable. That's certainly all I've managed to lasso in multiplayer or singleplayer but there may well be others I just never tried on. I love posts like these, keep the positivity and community going. ā¤ļø

  40. I create a new topic for the petition: This is the new version. Many users of the ps4 pro that bought red dead redemption 2, have huge problems with the blurred image quality of the game. The game is unplayable in motion, because of the image quality. We wait for a patch or a fix since the releaseday. We wrote tickets to rockstar and receive strange generated answers. We receive unqualified answers in the support chat. Switching the videosettings to 1080p mode isn“t the optimal option for a 4k TV user. Turn off HDR, how the support it subscribes is not a solution. Changing the complete Tv settings for only one game isn“t acceptable. The blur has nothing to do with our Tv“s. I“m using a hdmi premium cable and a Tv with nanocell technologie. We receive answers that this issues were causes from our Tv“s. No this is“nt the reason for the issues. This game is offered by Sony together with the Ps4 Pro in a bundle. It is advertised with "best gaming in 4k and full hdr support. This game is causing headaches and hurt the players eyes. We receive no real answers of the support. It exists a large thread with videos, images and a lot of comments. The community of rdr2.org do comparisons to other big open world titles, that shows the console can handle a higher image quality. I can understand that the quality of the XBox One X version must be the best, because of more memory and cpu power, but the ps4 pro version blur issues are unacceptable. We can only play the game in the 1080p full hd resolution without hdr to fix some of the blur issues, which is no option for me. Please fix the blur issues! - button to turn off motion blur and depth of field would fix the blurred image - native resolution of 1440p. - sharpen slider of the 1080p mode - fix supersampling blur for full hd tv users We like all the wild west scenario of the game and want play it now. So what you are saying is that rather than test the game and offer feedback about what is wrong, you will do something you consider to be exploiting in order to benefit yourself. I have no issue with that. You do you. However "before you judge me"? Bugger off, mate. You willingly exploit in a sodding beta, you are being judged. Would you like a legitimate way to make decent money? I know it is not what you asked for but I will tell you anyway. Birds. Outside Saint Denis is easiest. Herons, pelicans, loons, ducks. Anything that flies. 40-60 dollars for ten minutes work. Only works during daylight though. Exploiting for personal gain hurts everyone who plays by unbalancing the economy. Is it crap right now? Yes. So offer feedback on the beta. Tell them what they need to fix to make the game successful and fun. Don't use it as an excuse to game the system.

  43. I didn't know a PSN block would affect matchmaking in a game like this. I'm going to try that because the trolling has gone from bad to absolutely unbearable for me at this point. IMO, they need to implement a similar model as GTAVO with passive options, invite only sessions, etc. I'm confident they will given some of the code data miners had discovered back in October that already indicated a direction toward this. I agree with many of your points. Multiplayer encompasses PvP and PvE (and everything in between) where real people are able to play the game together. .....either cooperatively, as adversaries and/or a mix of both. There are plenty of games out there that include coop MP gameplay in them in some form or another that include NPCs as adversaries. .....GRW, Destiny, Far Cry, the Division just to name a couple of the top of my head. This is ALL considered online multiplayer. Even R* markets RDO as a game that supports all of these types of playstyles including solo (which at this point is essentially a death sentence). R* chose to incorporate all of these playstyles together in a public session and that needs to be balanced in order for them all to survive. .....which I'm sure it will whether through passive options, private sessions, both or other types of solutions. RDO right now is more of a deathmatch than anything else.

No idea but a quick Google search gave this approximation on some popular games: Just remember that usage can vary and depend on a number of factors including the # of players in a session, whether you're hosting on a peer to peer connection, etc. THe big data users are streaming services (Netflix, YouTube, music, etc.). Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Sounds like you're capped on how much you use a month? If you have a way to tell what your usage is in a given period of time, play a session or two and see how much you use. I honestly don't know how that whole limited data model works as I have always just paid a flat fee and never needed or even cared to know how much I use. Good luck.

  46. You have to eat twice a day and decent sized portions. After a few days, your weight will balance out. Eating a crap ton of food in one sitting won't suddenly make you gain weight. Just eat 2 meals with some extra for like 5 to 7 in-game days and you shouldn't be underweight anymore.

  47. I don't get it with the people who can't tell there's a difference, unless its like you said above. My initial issue was I didn't realize I had to "turn on" HDR on my 4K LG I recently bought. All my ports had to be turned on, cable, Xbox, etc. or I wasn't getting an HDR input. The difference is staggering to my eyes, both for RDR2 and AC: Odyssey.

My Husband & I have been trying to do the side missions and level up and save money to buy a bow for the main mission, It seems though we stay off the main roads, stay away from people that a lot of the players will literally go out of there way to just come and shoot us. We then get into a Killing spree back and forth until some one parleys. This takes a lot of hours out of our game play, we work, we have maybe 2-5 hours per day of game play... The last thing I want to do when I get home from dealing with people all day,... is have to get home and deal with the Snot nosed Murderous Children who clearly only play the game to ruin every ones day by random acts of unnecessary PvP violence! It takes precious time out of our doing missions to have to constantly stop and defend ourselves from random kiddies who constantly PvP you, everything from just riding by and the shoot you on the way by, to tracking you way out in the wilds and attacking you. This PvP is out of hand, It's passe, and with all the PvP games out there and e-sport battle Royales, PvP no longer has a relevant place in open World games... Specially when the game is based on PvE content. PvP & PvE should always be separated on their respective servers. I do not see the point of Rockstar bringing out another GTA5 style of open world game. RDR2O is basically that, GTA5 only set in the 1800's.... Back to the top of this post. Again my Husband & I are doing the main story missions and side quest, Though we can do PvP, and will kill our attacker over, and over, and over, and over...well you get the point, THAT disrupts our game play and time. There should be a way to turn PvP completely off. Another irritating factor is some of the side missions do AGAIN the GTA5 B.S. of trying to bring a mission in and it actually promotes other players to PvP and stop you!! On top of all the NPC coming after you! That Cow Stuffing needs to be taken out of the game!! Thanks for reading

  50. I enjoy PvE, but understand there is want for PvP. If you want to make me deal with PvP all the time then give me some immersive suspension of disbelief. Make ā€˜murder’ actually a deterrent instead of a trivial penality. Flag offenders for hours even after respawn. Make bounties for ā€˜murder’ incremental and exorbitant, including gold and XP for tracking down a ā€˜murder’. Or make that penality actually have consequences, like permently loosing / dropping firearms, funds, items, and or Perminant loss of mounts. Make towns and cities raise the calls for marshals and mobs to hunt down offenders. If you want to kill other players there are events for that. If you really have to pull the trigger on a PvEer, have a consequence that is meaningful. Otherwise, speaking personally, I have no reason to buy gold (mocotransactions coming soon) to lessen the grind or continue to play in lobby after lobby of griefers.
