  1. After considering all things and putting 2 and 2 together I came to the conclusion that I expect that RDR2 will probably be fixed for good on the PS5! They will probably make it one of the selling points for the new console. Remastered or at least graphicly improved and/or enhanced with a new form of anti aliasing and off course 4k and true hdr! So I won't expect a final solution myself anymore, but more of a alternative in the form of a PS5. Profit is a bitch when you know it is all and only about making money! Also (and this has nothing to do with the hdr/blur problems), after watching a certain YouTube video, I came to the conclusion that the RDR2 game design isn't that revolutionary as many think. Watch this video and make up your own mind: Rockstars game design is outdated! Also I noticed that the self proclaimed "employee of Rockstar" has been quiet, so that means that he doesn't know anymore what to say because of the lack of any true solution or he stopped trolling! 👎

  2. Do you really think they would do something like that intentionally and not expect lawsuits? Of course not. If it were intentional, legal recourse would be swift, and they're smart enough to know that. As was suggested before, try contacting customer support and see if they can help you before making angry decisions, like these jerky-jerkfaces are just trying to scam you out of your cashola.

  3. You definitely need to be using it, it does feel underwhelming compared to the single player's version of it, but there types of ability cards that augment your dead eye. For example one ability allows your friends to deal more damage while your dead eye is active, some allow you to absorb a headshot without dying - so, it is very useful but not in quite the same way as single player. I found that the 'paint it black' ability in online is good for long range fire fights where your lock doesnt reach your target, if you pop dead eye you can 'tag' your enemy and hit them from greater ranges - id say if you're not using dead eye, your missing out

  6. -Load up in a zone you don't plan on farming in, then travel to the area of your choice -Always play defensively = check map, shoot first then relocate, etc - (Do not assume people are friendly at first, assume the opposite) BIGGEST TIP = Get the ability 'never without one' - it requires you to be level 48 (I know) but this gives you a free headshot to retaliate before it is too late, if you are on your horse you can quickly equip another hat -If you are a fisher, use the companion app to bring up your map to see if you are being rushed. -BUY horse insurance. -Avoid major hotspots when farming ( blackwater, saint denis, valentine = depending on the population of server) -Ride to a farther butcher if needed, just hunt along the way. I personally have never been griefed, but these little tips have helped me out. I also shoot everyone that rides directly at me first - but I don't pursue them afterwards. Think about it, even the npcs get angry if you ride to close.... Good luck out there - hope any of these small tips helped.

  7. I watched a video yesterday where it discussed this very topic. Guy said it was left in unintentionally from an earlier build, and that Take2 were so adamant that they wanted gold in right away, that R* totally forgot to take it out.

  8. Its not a bug. Youtube has many clips of the same thing. It clearly shows buy for gold, then you are prompted to go to psn store to spend REAL money then when it brings you back the option to buy for gold is gone. Hourly there is more youtube clips of the same thing from different ppl. I think the scumbag business side of Red dead should expect a large law suit coming and all that money they made to disappear along with the player base.

  9. You can set it to neutral for a few gold, but you can't go from one extreme to the other.

  11. Honestly without "paint it black" set as active I cant even mark X's on targets so other than the buffs it can provide (later levels) I don't see much reason to use it. Tried a new loadout very recently to see how it would work and as far as offense goes and hated it. Untill I have the funds to upgrade some of these ability cards, ill be sticking with paint it black for sure.

  12. I use it online, but feel it's less effective as it is offline. I usually using it to get multiple headshots in a group, yet the others just seem to walk away without a scratch.

  13. That's an interesting question, partly because if my gameplay reflects my RL personality then I should probably start worrying about my sanity. My gameplay expresses my imagination (so it is me) in ways I can't, or shouldn't express it in the street. That is the point of turning on the PS4, tuning in to RDR2 and dropping out of RL, temporarily... However, I can only express my imagination up to a point, it's still a limited world. Everyone is aware of the limited emote functions, and we would all love more, cos just waving, or randomly spitting, is kinda limited. Btw I'm not complaining here, I'm just pointing out that our imaginations are boundless, CGI isn't, yet. So in this limited world how do we interact with each other? We can race each other, we can kill each other... I'm thinking... I'm sure others will see it differently and add other ways we can interact, but my point is just that there are limited ways to interact in the Online game except attack each other. I don't, voluntarily, but I do enjoy a fight (else I wouldn't be here) and can see why others do. I do think it's happening less already though, it's still a New World remember, though it's becoming less of a Wild West as we play, entirely in keeping with the game...

  14. OP doesn't like the game. The argument that it "sucks" is so powerful I'm going to go home and snap the disc and throw it in the river. For my money, this is the most satisfying gaming experience I've ever had. I am 36 years old and was like a kid watching his first movie for about 100 hours. I never really understand this kind of "criticism", but then i don't understand the point of a lot of internet interaction to be honest.

  15. Thanks for the translations. As for TD2, you got the exact idiots from Massive making it, being controlled by the same idiots from Ubisoft, who are asking for the same idiot YouTubers who screwed up the whole PvP situation. Yeah, it will be a train wreck and don't see any reason to buy the game. My son wants it and may convince me to buy it, but I don't see it being a better game in PvP or the DZ. I don't see anything changing. In fact had a friend who played the Alpha, supposedly he was told not to speak about it. He stated improvements was made, but not enough to endorse the game but he believes that if you liked the 1st, you will like the 2nd. Wouldn't tell me squat about it beyond that.

  16. same, was just an idea to get this needless achievement. I have never gotten 100% in any game, that's too much work, and work is never fun.

  17. Translation: I blew through the game so fast that I'm now bored and it's ruined for me, so I want to deprive others of any enjoyment so they're as dull and lifeless on the inside as I am. Translation: Anything that isn't explicitly banned is permitted. This is the same logic that allows sociopaths like myself to justify morally reprehensible actions with no fault or presumption of guilt. Unless said person IS a member of the development team, he or she has no idea what their intent is, and are projecting to justify their own actions. For almost 100 years, the United States allowed slavery because there was no law against it. I suppose that made it okay, too (sarcasm). Translation: I'm an emotionless monster incapable of genuine feelings, so I have to feed off the extremes of others to have any sort of satisfaction. There are a LOT of people like this in Corporate America who have nothing better to do than provoke people into a reaction. Translation: I'm so incredibly myopic and short sighted that I didn't even consider the fact that if I get people to quit, there's fewer people to abuse, limiting my opportunity to do so. I'm the sort of person who wins a year's supply of pizzas and eats them all in a week because I have no self control or awareness. Translation: Mommy and Daddy gave me everything I ever wanted in life. Ethan Crouch is my role model. Translation: I'm a walking contradiction: I have to ruin the game for others so that it isn't ruined for me. Your own enjoyment of the game means nothing as long as I'm happy. Rules for thee and not for me! Translation: My parents and teachers gave me participation ribbons and trophies for everything in life, so I have never learned the value of hard work or self-improvement. As a result, I claim to be emotionally damaged because I can't face the truth that my pain is caused by my own laziness and awareness of my own lack of self-worth as a human being. The despondency is why I lash out at others, because I want to, (as the always eloquent Mike Tyson once said) " stomp on their testicles so you could feel my pain." Pretty accurate analysis of the PvP DZ. I'd argue that playing PvE Survival gave you that same experience without the grief of the regular DZ. Sure, mobs didn't respawn, so it wasn't quite as farmable, but essentially, it's similar enough. It also provided (for me at least) the most fun version of the game. They also made a critical change to the way the DZ functions to give PvE players an opportunity to avoid "kill squads". Anyone that goes rogue is visible on both the minimap and large scale overlay, so it's simple enough to avoid them. And if a player in your vicinity decides to go Rogue, the days of them simply bushwacking you from behind and unloading an entire mag into your back are gone. They have to actively select it from their menu and there's a cooldown. You get a notification that someone near you is going Rogue, and have time to prepare. Griefers can't bait you into going Rogue by diving into your line of fire anymore to make you the aggressor. Sure, coordinated groups can camp spawns, but anyone going into the DZ has the ability to fast travel to any number of other spawn points away from those clowns and farm different landmarks. It's easy enough to avoid them with the smallest amount of planning and situational awareness--It's the DZ, and mobs will spawn right on top of you if you dither. I'm in a different place on The Division, having only come into it about a year after it was released. My perspective is VERY different from people who were hyped up by the E3 presentations and promises that never materialized on consoles--I came aboard right as the critical patches and content updates were being deployed that made it a MUCH different game (exotics, sets, incursions, Survival, the Underground, etc...). If I was a launch player, I probably wouldn't have been as forgiving of the initial experience. Looking more forward to the PvE online portions of TD2 more than I am RDO in it's current state, though, I can tell you that much.

  18. Exactly as Holyskin said above. Youd be missing out by not using it. If found that for it to be at all effective for shooting you really do need to get the "Paint it Black" ability card. (free at the start of game during a mission). And as he said above. You can really ensure those long distance headshots. I normally will activate during a shootout against a guy in cover and as long as the dot is anywhere in the path of his head as he pops out it will mark him.... then just pull the trigger. I especially like marking 6 or more tagets in the head and letting go a barrage of death with my dual wielded cattlemen.

  19. I didn't realize that Detroit had fallen so far on the leaderboard. Maybe a few weapons upgrades and a poverty card would put us up on top again. St. Louis might be tough to catch. They have a very strong PVP game and their griefers are second to none.

  20. I have no experience with the Turkoman, but my choice was made on the stamina difference between the 2, in favour of the fox trotter. With an improved saddle and the 50% stirrups. As far as I can tell the Turkoman is stronger compared to the Trotter in health, has the same accelleration is slower speedwise and has less stamina. Although in game the stats will show it a bit differently if I look on wikipedia the Trotter has a bit more going for it, for the long distance whilst the Turkoman will be a bit stronger in battles.

  23. Last night on YouTube I saw a comment from a guy sick of being attacked by griefers ..... the first reply was "Awwww, who hurt you? It's just a game!!!!!' Now that is a griefer comment. There is it appears a certain level of deeply confused machismo attached to griefing, it is little boys wishing to be men . This why all the cat calling straight from the play ground... they think they are genuinely tough. They think this is how men act.... grown men do not act like that boys It reminds me something an acquaintance told me, he was an instructor for the new entry British Army Para Troopers "They haven't been let out for 3 months , they have just got their wings and are let out...... So they go down the local town and the local boys beat the crap out of them... These young para's mistake being fit the for the first time in their life, with being tough" Just because you have a digital gun in your hand does not mean you should inflict your presence onto someone else ... other people are NOT there to entertain you, infant. So be good little boys and keep to yourself or only attack people like yourself... you know, idiots

  28. And gloves. And a pair of bedazzled suspenders, to blind your enemies during gunfights.

  29. I don't like that idea because they are basically robbing you which in a strange way should be encouraged and discouraged. encouraged because you were a good target and they can take your stuff, discouraged because it may not matter because they get a bounty worth more then the loot. you want to design the game where being a jerk has its penalties but you can also be a bandit if you choose that style of play. I'd imagine someone camping the butcher would be in town, near lawmen. A bounty system would fix the problem. a bounty system needs to be implemented that follows characters through server changes. for example: you kill a player with a npc or player witness. you get reported. you now have a permanent bounty on your character for 25.00 - 50.00 dollars. increasing per NPC/player you kill that gets reported or seen by lawmen. Honorable players can accept bounties and hunt down the player. the player being hunted now have a leaving server timer to prevent killing and disconnecting leaving them open for sweet justice. a few things happened: we've cut down on RDM and griefing, added a new bounty hunter feature, but still made people carrying valuables a reasonable target for outlaws. otherwise the unintended consequence of your suggestion is everyone kills a 3 star buck just for murder protection and that just feels weird. you should be a target if you have valuables on you. that's the wild west

  30. You are probably not the stellar marksman you thought you were. If you are tracking a 3-star deer, you will need to get a perfect headshot in order to preserve the pelt. If you are shooting it from too far away and not using the correct high velocity ammo for long distance shots, the bullet trajectory will result in an inaccurate hit. You can't skin decaying animals, so the poor pelt you are harvesting is a direct result of your poor shooting, not because the animal is decayed. There is nothing more to it.

  32. Trouble is, troll so out do load their horse then attack you, and when you kill them you'd have to pay a fortune.

  33. Fallout 76s solution is kind of horrible. Someone has to attack you.. And then you have to attack back and then its on. Game needs invite only/friendly lobbies. Not hurdles and punishments.

  34. I dunno..... Why do you whine about it you little ******!!!!! Go play the campaign if you can't handle it!!!! It's a PvP game, what did you expect!!!! I do it because it's fun!!!!! .....blah, blah, blah. (Just playing the devil's advocate. I hate griefers too and figured these would be their typical responses. )
    1 point
  35. Exactly..... I have to wonder why some would even claim it's unfair to allow private / invite sessions. The only people it would be unfair to are those who are trolling as there would be fewer, vulnerable targets for them to take advantage of.

  36. Good for you, I had no idea and actually still do not believe that one can increase fps by changing settings on ones TV. But if you feel it works for you, enjoy the game!
    1 point
  37. The drop in visuals was totally unacceptable for me on the PRO, even with your settings. On XBO X though, I also had bad fps / stability issues that I was able to fix by calibrating my TV a specific way (I have an LG C8).
    1 point
  38. The simple solution to fix trolling/griefing is private/invite only lobbies and free aim lobbies. And remove the always on blips. Its not really more complicated then that. I don't want to see R* add all these hurdles and punishments to the game that can be used against players who enjoy defending themselves and fighting back against griefers/trolls.

  39. I do not understand what people who are not seeing problems with the blur of the game are doing here. If it seems that the answers to these people are ignorant, I think it is even more ignorant to go to the thread about something that does not exist for them only to troll, or try to become superior about another person. Usually those who do this are children or someone with some problem in real life. You do not have to be patient even for people who come into the thread just to tumultualize

  43. On this screenshot from youtube video comparing graphics on all consoles played on FHD display we can see that problem is probably not a checkerboard rendering technique implementation, but some kind of AA similar to FXAA which gives blur effect and is used on all consoles except XB1X, where they probably realised it is not needed because of its native 4k resolution.

  44. RDR was a game that surprised me. FPS western is really not something I thought I would like. The game was so much fun for me that I played through it twice. RDR2 is more of the things I really liked in the previous version with an even better story line. There have been some sessions where I will just do main story tasks, but I have had a few nights where I do nothing but hunting, fishing, train robbery and even camp chores or Bath simulator... Its all fun depending on the mood.

  45. Whaaat? Whaaaat does this even mean? Theres nothing overly complicated about this game. And the pace of the game is up to to the player. You can't complain about not making 'progress' if you stop playing the game. IMO this is the best game i've played in years.
