Ive been working on this for sometime. Its it very near complete and I tried to be as accurate as possible. Just needed to get it posted before the holiday vacation. Current prices on all animal carcus, pelts and parts as of update 1.05 Please let me know if this is not showing up correctly. My original had links for every animal to the rockstar compendium and everything but its just too much for the upload I guess.3 points

I go to a sockeye salmon spot, use the special lake lure to get ten of those, then I drop a carcass in the water and wait like five minutes until there are a ton of fish near it. I drop in dynamite and wait for the damaged fish to float up. I usually get about 20 or more fish from that and not all of them go to one *, some stay ** and ***. I get 25 for the salmon and that 1 dollar stick of dynamite gets me 20-30 more. I do it this way because If I get killed I dont lose the fish.3 points

If all else fails you can do what my buddy did, he couldn't get rid of these "free horse" so he parked it on the train tracks. That did the trick.3 points

Almost everything about this game seems to suck. In the former Red Dead game I would play for hours and make progress but this is a slow slog of crap that is over complicated. I gave up and doubt I will even finish the game. And ONLINE sucks really bad.2 points

I like how the lack of "realism" is brought up and then an argument for being able to "roll, snap and flick" to get headshots more easily.2 points

We can discuss this over and over, but everyone has the same possibilities so the playing ground is equal for all. For me the cards are the main grind reason and although I agree in Free Roam the gameplay should be altered in gunfights (PVP) due to the griefing aspect or not being ready for surprise attacks. In PVP different builds will actually give players different scenarios to have to counter, so I don't really agree, although I haven't done PVP. From what I have read there are more important problems such as the varmint headshot rifle that need to be addressed. As far as loadouts are concerned there are a lot of combinations possible and I can't really comment on PVP although your loadout will depend on your skill. If you rack up headshots running Eye for an Eye III combined with strange medicine III will keep health and dead eye at good levels combined with slow and steady III which gives you a decent chance at surviving more encounters. As for a 3rd passive you might want to consider Winning Streak III as a damage booster for both headand body damage. In PVE Slippery Bastard or slow and steady seem to be decent abilities. I always use Never without one III to be able to counter the surprise attacks from other online players. There are loads of cards that are decent like Peak Condition as damage booster as well as Horseman as in PVE damage output in general is more useful compared to health and dead eye regeneration at this point of the game. Currently working on getting the Posse beneficial cards to level 3 in order to be able to run a support character which benefit the better skilled PVP players I usually run with and am wondering how that will work. I assume these Posse related cards will be great later in in larger scale PVE and PVP team based gameplay.2 points

Whaaat? Whaaaat does this even mean? Theres nothing overly complicated about this game. And the pace of the game is up to to the player. You can't complain about not making 'progress' if you stop playing the game. IMO this is the best game i've played in years.2 points

Hello out there, I'm from the southwest United States enjoying the travels of Arthur Morgan, I got to Chapter III and decided I may have missed some content so I manual saved and started over. I play with an Xbox elite controller and some Razer Kraken Xbox One Headphones. Still getting surprised by all sort of people and critters. I only have a couple of PVP session under my belt. I figure I need to connect my mike and socialize more. The Game reminds me of places close to home.1 point

I think we all know how this is going to go, but RDR2 and RDO have a rich tapestry of characters that leave quite the impression. I never really gave it too much thought, but I came across this beauty on Reddit yesterday and it still cracks me up: I'm sure Dutch will get plenty of consideration, too, but I really hate Micah. So, who do YOU hate?1 point
-
Names Ryanosaurus. My Posse and me like to live by Dutchs words "we shoot fellers as need shootin, save fellers as need savin and feed fellers as need feedin". Hope to see yall out on the frontier at some point and if you're looking for a Gang to join we're always lookin for folk.1 point

So most people know by now that to access some missions online that its honour based but there is very little indication that that is the case. ALSO to replay some of the missions you need to have that same honour level or else take a chance and hopefully get access to the mission in quick join. Whats peoples thoughts on the whole Honour based access to missions/progression?1 point

Ahhh.... Guess I read it the wrong way, sorry. Yeah, Creed and I had that discussion about kids and when they're ready, etc. Although mine isn't, there are still basic safety rules I teach him if he does encounter any guns. .....stop, don't touch, leave the area immediately and tell an adult (preferably my wife or myself). As shooters/owners, we abide the same simple rules 1) Treat every gun as if it is loaded 2) Never point a gun at anything you're not willing to destroy 3) Keep your finger off the trigger until you're on target and ready to fire 4) Know your target and what is beyond. There are variations of the verbiage and even additional rules but those are typically the primary ones that you'll hear. You obviously should know how a particular weapon operates before handling it (e.g. so you know how to clear it), know the correct ammunition type to use (it might fit and even be the right caliber but not what is recommended for the weapon), use eye and ear protection, etc., etc. It's funny, I've been complimented before in a gun shop when I cleared a weapon the clerk handed to me even though he just checked it himself 10 seconds prior with me watching. I told him that I always treat every gun as loaded which means I'm going to check it myself regardless and then still treat it like it's loaded. .....first rule. With years of repetition I find these things to be second nature. I'm also find myself to be very attuned to what others are doing around me when they are handling guns at a range, in a shop, etc. Gun safety is the utmost importance and something I take very seriously. .....as should everyone.1 point

I always end up changing this list after going back and replaying old games but for now it would have to be... 1. The Witcher 3 2. Bioshock Infinite 3. Red Dead Redemption So many other titles would be on par with these but those three for now are the ones id share1 point

@Archer I'm with you on this one. I love being able to swap out outfits when I can. Id love to be able to hold AT LEAST 5 so I could have one for most sections of the map if you get me. I've noticed an issue with a lot of the clothing items however, such as the bandana going through my players face when I wear it which is a shame. Theres a lot of work to be done in online yet before I can see Rockstar bringing about such feature but hopefully somewhere down the line!1 point

Did an little research, apparently the cabin is part of a side mission in the story. The thing is I don't recall that cabin being accessible in story mode perhaps that is just because I haven't finished (80%). From what I have read, the drawings area tie in to the Episolon Cult in GTA V. Speaking of mysteries, the landscape of RDR2 is fairly organic in that it changes with the passage of time. The lumber camp fell all the trees and is abandoned, Wapiti vanishes after you start the Epilogue, gallows get erected in various towns, have people noticed similar things in online play?1 point

The most important thing is options. choose your mode, choose time, choose team, choose map, choose load out, choose free aim or auto, choose private lobby, etc etc1 point

I don't know if that was necessarily a troll so much as perhaps a younger inexperienced player who thought he was helping. Griefing usually has a pointed, targeted method to the madness, but this was more like the crazy guy I see every day who chases pigeons in Public Square. He chases them just to chase them, and I doubt he'd even know what to do with them if he ever caught one.1 point

I have a plan, are you with me? Let's RIDE! Yee who! As I was riding on my horse I shot a skunk Of course, of course Pocketed some scented glands My god, where can I wash my hands! It's become a lot more stable already, but I'm actually glad I got to fall through the ground in Tumbleweed and tumble down through the Void... endlessly... screaming... that was worth the experience. Imagine if that happened to you in real life...1 point

Heh, a guy shot at me as I tried to get out of Valentine tonight. I sped up my horse and made it out, then went around a curve and stopped and waited. He came running up so I killed him and waited for him to respawn and try again. He respawned and went the other way! LOL First time I've seen that.1 point

Exactly the same here... I never start it, but when things happen expect me to constantly harass you until you either leave the game or politely says sorry for disturbing my peace. Normally they don't expect a reaction and I got a few whiny messages from those kids about me going overkill. "Dude I killed you once!" YEP, that was you telling me it's ok to kill you how many times I desire aswell.1 point

I have done this plenty of times on other games and it doesn't always work. I put it to the test a few nights ago and I just let the group keep doing their worst. I went to Taco Bell and got some food. Came back and the second I started doing something, they showed up again. lol No lifers.1 point

I am sure they are just working on other aspects of the game right now and it will be added in eventually. Maybe it will start on Christmas. That would be a cheesy way of adding it in.1 point

....funny, I had noticed it raining in snowy regions but I guess I just never noticed if it snowed in RDO. I definitely did in the campaign though. As such, it shouldn't be a problem for them to add it to online.1 point

The OP was here saying the same thing over a month ago and yet, here he is still. I played the hell out of the original RDR and to be perfectly honest, RDR2 felt like more of the same but simply improved. .......improved in many ways whether it's the physics, the animations, graphics, additional content, size, mechanics, etc. All of this contributes to the feeling of more depth in RDR2. When I started playing this game, it felt like a natural continuation of RDR to me. I have no idea what the OP is talking about. I also like RDO but then again, I also realize it's a beta and is currently a shell of what it will be. Folks like the OP don't want to hear constructive feedback or suggestions that may help his in-game experience. .....believe me, we've already tried. Folks like this will post their frustration disappear and then reappear a few day / weeks later to post the same thing. I have nothing against folks that don't like certain games. There are plenty I don't like myself. ......but then again, I don't keep revisiting fan forums to complain about them because I usually just move on. When there is nothing salvageable in a game like in the OPs case, it's probably time to cut your losses.1 point

Yep, agreed because they seem to have put a lot of effort into the weather systems. Not as nice as Horizon Zero Dawn though! But then again, if it snowed up in the Grizzlies we'd all be too poor to buy woolly socks. Gold socks. Yes please.1 point

Sounds like they are giving you the pre-order horse. Is it grey? I also did the pre-order and it came with the war horse and a strange spotted thoroughbred. If you really don't want those horses (and believe I understand as you can get better ones pretty fast in the game) since you can't sell, here is what I did. I was on the thoroughbred that I couldn't sell or get rid of and I tamed a wild horse then I switched saddles from the thoroughbred and put it on the newly tamed horse. Then I left the thoroughbred there. Instead of whistling at him and having him follow me as the (secondary horse). Eventually he was out of "whistle distance" and eventually it went away. Fast forward a few days and now when I go to stable it shows the thoroughbred and war horse as horses I can "buy" for $0.00 so you technically never get rid of them but they also aren't taking up space in your stable. Hope this helps.1 point

I'm 42 and can't remember when I enjoyed a game this much. I played the first one, thought it was a lot fun but this one seems even better. I play the story mode. Offline is a different beast. I too like to take my time and do every quest, side mission, unlock every trapper outfit, etc... I don't enjoy these for online as much as online people seem to play fast and want to get to the end game, whatever that may be. I'm still not sure what the point of RDR2 online is yet....I go online in the free roam area and I want to hunt and collect money to buy better weapons and more gear and I get shot over and over. I'm perfectly fine with if they shoot you they get the pelts on your horse or can take your weapons or earn XP or something, but if killing another person in free roam doesn't do anything for a gain I don't understand the point. I stopped playing for a few days then went back in and some random invited me to join the posse, I did and it was the 2 of us in a posse he wanted to take on another posse, again I'm not sure for what exactly, but there were 12 of them, needless to say 2 v 12... we didn't fair well. I haven't played much online in RDR2 but as of now I'd say it's like the Dark Zone on The Division. You go in there as a single and 8-10+ will jump you, not to take your gear or loot but just to jump you for no better reason than they can. That in my opinion adds up to about 1-2 seconds of fun. So I find something else to do. Now if you could kill the other person in online and take their pelts and sell them or get their weapons then I can completely understand it but as it is now you just enter a big map of team death match with no end game.1 point

No. One of the key elements necessary to prove fraud is intent. Unless there's a paper trail via inter-company communications (email, memos) that proves this was an intentional element implemented to induce the customer to purchase gold via microtransactions, this does not rise to the level of fraud. This thread is the exact reason why I've elected to hoard my gold that was awarded, and not purchase additional gold until the mode is out of Beta. The final product is going to be different--which is why online games have Terms of Service or License Agreements that specifically state that as a consumer, you don't actually own the game, you're just purchasing a license to access a service. It's an important distinction, one which allows for on-the-fly changes to come without warning and with very few protections built in for the customer. A lawsuit will also be immediately challenged by R*. For those of you who skipped the EULA for Red Dead (and Red Dead Online): MISCELLANEOUS If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected. BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION - PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY ALTER YOUR RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT. This binding individual arbitration section will not apply to the extent prohibited by the laws of your country of residence. The term “Dispute” is to be given the broadest possible meaning that will be enforced and includes, for example, all matters arising under this Agreement, the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, or any other agreement with the Company. You understand that there is no judge or jury in arbitration and that court review of an arbitration award is limited. Exclusions From Arbitration. You and the Company agree that any claim filed by You or the Company in small claims court on an individual basis are not subject to the arbitration terms contained in this Section. In addition, the Company or You shall have the right to seek an injunction against you in court in order to preserve the status quo while an arbitration proceeds. Class Action Waiver. THE ARBITRATION PROCEEDINGS DESCRIBED HEREIN WILL BE CONDUCTED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY. Neither You nor the Company shall be entitled to join or consolidate disputes by or against other individuals or entities, or to arbitrate any dispute in a representative capacity, including, without limitation, as a representative member of a class or in a private attorney general capacity, in connection with any Dispute. Further, unless both You and the Company agree, the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claim. The arbitrator may award any individual relief or individual remedies that are permitted by applicable law, but may not award relief against the Company respecting any person other than You. Each side shall pay his, her, or its own attorneys’ fees and costs unless the claim(s) at issue permit the prevailing party to be paid its fees and/or litigation costs, in which case the arbitrator shall award fees or costs as required by the applicable law. Location of Arbitration. At Your option, if an in-person hearing is required under the JAMS Rules, the hearing will occur either in New York County, New York, or in the United States county in which You reside. Decision of the Arbitrator. Any decision or award by the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties. Unless otherwise agreed, any decision or award shall set forth the factual and legal basis for the award. The arbitrator shall be permitted to award only those remedies in law or equity which are requested by the parties and which the arbitrator determines are supported by credible relevant evidence. Any decision or award may be enforced as a final judgment by any court of competent jurisdiction. If either party unsuccessfully challenges the validity of an award, the unsuccessful party shall pay the opposing party’s costs and attorneys’ fees associated with the challenge.1 point

OP doesn't like the game. The argument that it "sucks" is so powerful I'm going to go home and snap the disc and throw it in the river. For my money, this is the most satisfying gaming experience I've ever had. I am 36 years old and was like a kid watching his first movie for about 100 hours. I never really understand this kind of "criticism", but then i don't understand the point of a lot of internet interaction to be honest.1 point

In my opinion, this is the best game ever made for me. Honestly, I feel rockstar could have made it even better but was probably too worried to go too far with the slow pace bacause of guys like the poster here. Honestly, I have always wanted a game where you actually pull physical items from a bag one at a time, or loot a house by grabbing things one at a time. I feel like this is the direction they truly wanted to go and yeah, they achieved that but probably not as much as they or i wanted. I am totally satisfied, dont get me wrong, they have to cater to a large group of people to get the money for a game like this but i think i would enjoy even longer skinning animations with the chance to speed up to the type we have now, instead of how some large animals kinda cut to different sections of the skinning process to keep it quicker. I would rather take 10 puffs off a cigarette than one and toss. I'd rather see our character actually take off his coat and store it when swapping outfits on your horse. Honestly I cant even complain at all, I enjoy every aspect and approach made by rockstar with this installment. I feel like they cut a few things to speed up the pace but the game still leans toward the slow, calculated, realistic side of things which is totally against the grain in a world where instant satisfaction and having things given to you for nothing reigns supreme.1 point
