  1. Ive been working on this for sometime. Its it very near complete and I tried to be as accurate as possible. Just needed to get it posted before the holiday vacation. Current prices on all animal carcus, pelts and parts as of update 1.05 Please let me know if this is not showing up correctly. My original had links for every animal to the rockstar compendium and everything but its just too much for the upload I guess.

  2. Annoying, in that this wasn't clearly communicated and I had to wait ages before I found out. Pointless, in that honor had next to no bearing in the game, other than two story missions and two one-time buckles - and you can even buy your honor at the weird shop.

  3. This is where I keep going back to when I want to do some hideout stuff. I will check the other spots too tonight.

  4. I'm pretty sure the Hanging dog Ranch respawns a gang there after completion. Not 100% sure but you could check it out. There are also a few spots in New Austin like Twin Rocks that spawn Del Lobo gang members. Both would be considered "gang hideouts"

  5. Arthur Morgan's Song While riding up near Valentine a rider robbed me blind He hid his mule behind a tree and stuck me in my side He took my horse and saddle and rode off to the East I shouted out to him “I'll Kill Ya like a Beast” I ran on into Valentine and come across a man That I'd helped out on the trail, put a tonic in his hands He said “go on in the gunsmiths and have a gun on me” Picked up a Springfield ~Rifle and set off to the East I saw a campfire lighting up the woods A single man was standing there in a canvas hood I recognised my steed, Schwifty was his name I gave out a whistle and out the rifle came The man took off his sack and was held in disbelief He recognised my eyes saw the anger in my teeth As I was runnin' gunnin' he turned around to flee I let off a shot got him there hit him in his knee I mounted good ol' Schwifty to catch up to him quick But that damn bastard pulled out another trick Right before my eyes Fire was all I see Threw a volatile bottle just in front of me He made it to his mule and shot off through the shrub I turned and rode around the flames looking for his blood I tracked him through the night rode through Twin Stack Pass Got just past Flatneck Station, there was blood all on the grass Judging by the scene, his mule had thrown him off I saw him in the distance running like a sloth Now it was time for me to have some fun I pulled out my lasso and I started to run “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run there's a bounty on your head” “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run or you'll get one in the head” He pulled out his revolver But his shooting was no good I covered closely by a rock And then he understood He couldn't win a gunfight he was shot and all beat up I ran to him lasso in hand hogtied the bastard up Whistled over Schwifty and stowed him on the back I said “Now listen here my boy, You're going on the tracks!” Took him to Bard's Crossing and laid him down right there He said “I'm sorry Mister” and I said “I don't care” I heard a train a' comin' Roaring round the bend I took off on ol' Schwifty and the bastard met his end! “Don't mess with Arthur Morgan Boy or you'll have a price to pay” “I'll take you down Lemoyne make you Alligator prey” “I ride with Van Der Linde, Retribution in my Hands” “Mess with me and you could die in Ambarino lands!” “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run there's a bounty on your head” “Run boy run, down to the riverbed” “Run boy run or you'll get one in the head”

  6. Thing is, I only get griefed every now and again. Most of the time everything is fine. Of course, I just recently got griefed - highly annoying. Minding my own business skinning an animal, get shot, lose everything on my horse - after a long time hunting. With nothing left to lose I try to chase the griefer down - he rides for ages before I catch up with him (clearly he doesn't want to fight??). Eventually, I get him. Boom headshot. Done? Nope. As soon as he spawns he shoots me. Oh, he wants to fight now. Ok, I shoot him. I'm pretty confident I can kill him more times than he'll kill me - but wait, the coward has left the server! So he shoots me in the back, runs off, and when it becomes a fair fight leaves the game! Good grief, what a diseased anus.

  7. Then don't worry about it if the thread doesn't speak to you. ....easy peasy. The OP already made the discussion as PC as he could as most companies at least give the day(s) off to their employees as "holidays". Nollaig Chridheil Hoover!

  8. That's what I do. I vary activities. I tend to keep hunting for when I play solo but I also do that too with groups to change it up in our session

  9. Tbh, is there really much of a difference between grinding series matches, hunting and fishing, doing missions? It seems to me that any minor advantages one has over another is outweighed by boredom. Seems better, to me, to vary what I do - some matches, some hunting, some fishing etc.

  10. The Dakota river just above diablo ridge is a good spot. The upside is it's right near Valentine to sell the fish. The downside, it is right near Valentine...lol

  11. There are several towns with no law enforcement. Van Horn, Butcher Creek and Armadillo that I can think of. The townsfolk will all attack you so you can kill as much as you want without getting a bounty. You'll still lose honor, of course.

  12. Welcome to red dead online. I suggest you learn to read your map. If you see a player or group of players in an area you want to access. Stop and study their movements, wait till they leave. As for the treasure chests the rewards matches the economy of the game. Something tells me you wont be playing RDO for long.

  13. Myself I no longer play on-line and will not do so..... Griefed and left ....... In fact by the time R* get around to putting in solo lobbies life will have moved on, if they ever bother. So unless those lobbies arrive real fast, I'll never play on-line. Of course i should be ready and willing to spend €100's and I would... in a private lobby. Because the way I see griefing/trolling or whatever you wish to call it is this: My wife and I go to the theatre to see some opera ... When we arrive the door man is showing people into queue for tickets; there are two lines As we are about to enter and join a queue I say to the doorman ... Me: Good evening..... Both lines the same? DM : No Sir, different. Me : Really? Different how? DM : On the left (he gestures) you pay to go in and get a good seat, with a good view. It's €80 each... Fantastic show. Me : OK.... and on the right? DM : On the right (Gesturing the other side) you pay and get a good seat, with a good view and some little arseholes sat behind you. They'll be talking, texting on their phones, kicking your seat back, throwing popcorn at you and so forth ...... through out the show Me : What? You're joking? ........... Is that really cheap then? DM : No the same price, €80 .... just comes with a these complete arseholes, ensuring the show is totally ****ed up for you... because even when they stop for a bit ... you are just waiting for it to start again! Me : So let me get this straight..... One pays the exact same money for someone to ruin the show for you? But there are people cueing for that? What is up with them? That makes no sense.... Do they know? DM : Yes they know, they are all warned ......... Honestly I've no idea why they do it, though it is strangely popular ...... Maybe they are some sort of arsehole as well ...... who knows. Quite why anyone spends money to be interfered with by idiots, I truly have no idea ... Each to their own, people must do what they like ... But you won't catch me in the right hand queue, that's for damned certain.

  15. As much as I would LOVE to be able to play poker online with my friends, I get why they don't allow it online. What I would like to see is a private server option where only you and people from your friend's list can join and you can make use of the tables to play cards with friends. The only catch is you have to be in the same posse.

  19. Or....this could be a case changing taste. If you loved a Harry Potter movie when you were 12 years old that doesnt mean that you will love a Harry Potter sequel when you are 19. We cant assume that everyone is over 30. I'm close to 70 and if anybody here tries to tell me that "A Star is Born 2018" with Lady GaGa is better than "A Star is Born 1937" with Janet Gaynor, I am going to tell you all to suck it and I'm not going to stick around to argue about it!

  20. Youtube videos are proof of nothing, and claims of Youtube videos that no-one has seen are proof only of your trolling. So you don't like Rockstar. So what. I love them. I'm the player base.

  22. Well, to be honest, mingling with "randoms" in a session whether that means trying to join open posses, matchmaking for missions or simply trying to meet them in the open world is a sure way to increase your chances exponentially to be griefed. .....that's for sure. Personally, in the rare instances I do interact with randoms (even in a friendly encounter) I will break off contact if they can't be bothered to use a mic. I'm not going to type out messages back and forth. Instead of thinking about ways people can grief me, I simply do my best to avoid them and that seems to work 99% of the time. Personally, I don't like griefers so I'm not going to do things that increase my chance of being exposed to them. As far as meeting folks, I started a posse here and we now have about 36 members. My PSN Community has 31 and is still growing. It's funny that even with all of those people it can still be difficult to get folks to join up in a session (most seem shy) but I do at least get a chance to team up with at least one online friend a couple times a week or more. If I'm playing solo, I won't deal with randoms but if I'm with a posse, I'm willing to take a few more risks. .....and I've met some good folks because of it. I guess I'd prefer not dwell on the bad aspects and would prefer to do what I can to make the best out of my online experiences. btw, my friend got sniped last night by a player that we had been keeping a close eye on. He seemed non threatening so we both let our guard down (bad move) and dallied too long in one spot. After the shot was fired he somehow disappeared from the area but then reappeared across the other side of the map. Instead of giving chase, we simply carried on with what we were doing. We still don't know how he traveled to Saint Denis like that but we simply let it go and carried on with what we were doing. We were interrupted for maybe 20 seconds and we were not going to let the brief encounter spoil our fun.

  23. Always makes me wonder, where did they get the mindset to come up with these tactics. Their lives must be so miserable they need to take anyone and everyone with them. Oh well it is a game, Hopefully they don"t take those beliefs with them into the real world

  24. Exactly the same here... I never start it, but when things happen expect me to constantly harass you until you either leave the game or politely says sorry for disturbing my peace. Normally they don't expect a reaction and I got a few whiny messages from those kids about me going overkill. "Dude I killed you once!" YEP, that was you telling me it's ok to kill you how many times I desire aswell.

  25. I have done this plenty of times on other games and it doesn't always work. I put it to the test a few nights ago and I just let the group keep doing their worst. I went to Taco Bell and got some food. Came back and the second I started doing something, they showed up again. lol No lifers.

  26. It's funny because I go by the name Vaderspupil because I'm a big Darth Vader fan, yet I prefer playing as the good guy in any roleplaying type games. For the most part, I treat others in game how I treat them in real life. I treat them how I want to be treated in return. However, if you're an asshole to me, I'll be an asshole right back.

  27. OP doesn't like the game. The argument that it "sucks" is so powerful I'm going to go home and snap the disc and throw it in the river. For my money, this is the most satisfying gaming experience I've ever had. I am 36 years old and was like a kid watching his first movie for about 100 hours. I never really understand this kind of "criticism", but then i don't understand the point of a lot of internet interaction to be honest.

  29. Please forgive an old guy (69) for doing what old guys are known for....ranting nonsense. I played RDR1 on day one, and enjoyed every minute of it. I waited years to see a RDR2 release. I havent been disappointed with it. Although I am far from considering myself a hardcore gamer, I am a person that has been known to pay 200 bucks for a new video card and memory upgrades for any game that caught my fancy. I also thought that Doom was a technical marvel that would never be surpassed. Overclocking and water coolers. Tetris will never die! I have always looked at video games as being movies that we get to play the lead character. Those are the type of games that I have enjoyed the most. Shooting monsters or robots in outer space just never got the bone stiff. And like movies, everyone has their likes and dislikes. There is no accounting for taste. If anybody wants to debate whether Rio Bravo is a better western than Shane, go for it. The Wild Bunch was my favorite. I consider this a western themed video game. A genre all to itself. Rockstar put a lot of effort into this game and I think it shows. The crunch time stuff and all of the problems in production paid off in the finished product. The devils in the details are amazing. They took RDR1 and polished the sh!t out of it. They took the newer tech and made it work. To me, they wrote a compelling story. When Travis shot old yeller, it kicked me in the nuts. When .............................I got the same feeling. There are times in this game where I wished they would just get to the friggin conclusion and end it. I consider that my own impatience and not a fault of the game. At my age, slow pace isnt considered a problem....its a way of life.

  30. RDR was a game that surprised me. FPS western is really not something I thought I would like. The game was so much fun for me that I played through it twice. RDR2 is more of the things I really liked in the previous version with an even better story line. There have been some sessions where I will just do main story tasks, but I have had a few nights where I do nothing but hunting, fishing, train robbery and even camp chores or Bath simulator... Its all fun depending on the mood.

  31. In my opinion, this is the best game ever made for me. Honestly, I feel rockstar could have made it even better but was probably too worried to go too far with the slow pace bacause of guys like the poster here. Honestly, I have always wanted a game where you actually pull physical items from a bag one at a time, or loot a house by grabbing things one at a time. I feel like this is the direction they truly wanted to go and yeah, they achieved that but probably not as much as they or i wanted. I am totally satisfied, dont get me wrong, they have to cater to a large group of people to get the money for a game like this but i think i would enjoy even longer skinning animations with the chance to speed up to the type we have now, instead of how some large animals kinda cut to different sections of the skinning process to keep it quicker. I would rather take 10 puffs off a cigarette than one and toss. I'd rather see our character actually take off his coat and store it when swapping outfits on your horse. Honestly I cant even complain at all, I enjoy every aspect and approach made by rockstar with this installment. I feel like they cut a few things to speed up the pace but the game still leans toward the slow, calculated, realistic side of things which is totally against the grain in a world where instant satisfaction and having things given to you for nothing reigns supreme.

  32. So last night I got on, tried a few missions and no one would join. Tried to join others a few times, Posses I joined sent me messages that though they had room, didn't know me and didn't want to take the chance. I apologized and left. On Xbox, I sent out a few feelers to the game club for players supposedly want to join up and got no responses. So I decided to just go hunting and or maybe do some fishing. While hunting a came across a buck, started to aim when I saw another player appear on my map, that comes riding through and shoots and drops the deer. Then rides on chasing other deer. So I pick it up and chase after him. Thinking maybe the player would like that which he killed. He killed several animals and never stopped to pick anything up, but did ride back and meet up with me. I sent him a message, letting him know that I got his deer. I remove it from my horse and drop it at his feet. Then I leave to continue to hunt. When he sees me mount up, he does the same. Leaving the deer where it laid. So I go and hunt, takes a few minutes. Noticing he isn't far away. I see an animal and take a shot. Before I know it here comes again, running everything off and shooting everything he can. Once again, leaving everything behind. So I said another message, stating my purpose to hunting collect pelts and sell whatever I can. No response. So I start hunting again. Rinse and repeat. At this point I ain't hunting as much as walking through a graveyard of carcasses he has left behind. Now collecting is easy, but I am feeling I am not enjoying this part. I am getting no experience. So I move onto fishing, a few minutes in he shows up and stands there while I fish. No big deal. Right? Wrong. This person then proceeds to start shooting at them and then starts throwing in dynamite. So I politely message, hey that isn't helping. If you would rather join up, I would be glad to help ya do whatever. Are you interested? No response. For the most part I really didn't have an issue with this player, who ever it was. They never attacked me, but seemed insistent on making it easier for me to accomplish some of my goals. Almost to the point of removing the whole experience. The no responses seemed to be griefing to a point. So I changed servers and join a posse, that consisted of 2 other players. We are in St. Denis, so I stop to get ammo from the post office. While inside I get kicked from the group. Odd? Go outside and my horse is dead? Odd? At this point the other 2 are on the opposite side of town. Really odd? So I know I have to kill 2 minutes for my horse. When these 2 come around and start shooting at me. I hear one them claim that they killed my horse and the other makes a statement that this is the easiest way to get players to PvP where you want, by inviting then kicking them and hunting them down. Tired and not in the mood. I just shutdown for the night. Then got thinking about all the ways players can now grief. You could actually be to helpful to the point that the player can't enjoy themselves or you could actually invite them have them come to you and then grief them. So in what ways have you been griefed that seems out of the ordinary?
