I don't buy into that to be honest. RDO is already infested with griefers and those who will now fire on sight simply to protect themselves as a result. .....can't blame the latter really. Invite-only lobbies should be offered as an option to those of us who wish to explore the world / activities with friends or alone. Free Roam can still be relevant by retaining missions, heists, etc. (certain activities) within it that only can be played there. GTAVO already does this. ......or perhaps make missions / tasks available in both but more profitable in Free Roam Either way, there are things they can do in Free Roam to help mitigate the issue of griefing which they already are going to do. .....to what an extent or if it will actually have an impact, we'll just have to wait and see. There needs to be some accountability for those actions because as it stands, there really is none. Regardless, I don't believe RDO will ever be a troll-fest on the level of GTAVO.

I'm all about fighting and defending when there is a point to do so. Missions, robberies, stuff like that I expect to have to defend and will have fun doing so. I would be boring if there wasn't any resistance when doing those activities. What I don't expect is to have to defend myself as I'm putting a worm on hook, riding to a destination or just minding my own business. Imagine trying to play the story mode while having people shoot at you every 10 seconds. It would get real old, real fast.

Who are you calling a snowflake, Frosty? This game isn't open to the public just to justify your pent-up frustration with your mom by targeting people who are just trying to play the game. If someone is hunting and happens to cross you, not looking to fight or anything and are obviously not targeting you, why be a di*k?

I am glad it will be an option cause sometimes me and my buddies just want to be on our own. Public servers aren't the best to be on right now cause of all the trolls and griefers.

It appears all of our hopes and dreams may just come true....lol.. Seriously though, there is coding already in the game for private lobbies. Which means that one R* is done testing server health all they will need to do is turn on the option. I'm guessing this will be part of the "Anti-griefing update" that they said is coming in January. Oh I can hear the cries of the griefers now...

If they do that, they really need to make sure the PVE is actually PVE, no loopholes for trolls to use. ARK has PVE and PVP servers and for the longest time it was easier to troll people on the PVE servers. That's why I'm leaning more towards penalties for trolling...lol

Separate servers for PvP and PvE players for free roam.

Maybe challenge someone to a duel. Put their items against yours. I'd be down for that.

So if when a player spawns in we are suppose to message everyone before they just ride up and shoot us, that is if we can get spawned in and have time to message everyone. hahahahaha. Most players that grief aren't looking to team up if they are attacking you.

I think that's the biggest problem, there really isn't a penalty for killing other players. If someone kills me and I have 15 *** pelts, I lose my pelts and probably about 30-45 minutes of time hunting down the animals. So I go and kill them back and they lose.....nothing. So the end result is I lost 45 minutes of my time and they lost 15 seconds. Not really fair is it? Revenge is never equal in this game because the people that do nothing but kill have nothing to lose. R* needs to add something for them to lose and it should be time based. Basically if you get revenge on a person that killed you for no reason, that person would get hit with a time out of say like 2 minutes per pelt that you lost. That may sound like a long time, but considering how long it takes to track down a ton of *** animals, it's not. All that being said, it makes zero sense that the pelts disappear when you die. They should be sitting on your horse when you respawn. I'm sure R* will say it's because the horse fast traveled to your new location, but considering that the pelts in your bag are still there ,that is a B.S. excuse. The only reason I can think of that the pelts disappear is so we don't make money and buy gold bars.

In the last 2 days your self description has gone from a troll stealing pelts to a bodyguard for hire and back again. It seems the only challenge you have with this game is figuring out what version of troll you want to be.

Handling griefers is adding features to prevent them from doing just that. What you're suggesting is playing into their childish, boring, mindless game of tag.

Im pretty much cool with everything. Funny stupid story. About race and racist role playing involving two of my friends. One using a white character another a black. The white character looks like Leonardo DiCaprio from Django Unchained (And sounds like him) and he belittles the black character with racist banter to see how others in game re-act. They love to ride into town in a stage coach and put on a little show.. Funny thing is the White character is being controlled by an actual Black person and the Black Character is being controlled by a White Person. But NO one knows this... The re-action from people is soo funny. Some get angry, some actually join in on the racist banter. Some with black characters even started to obey him and say "Yessa Master".

Just 1 thing! Wow, that's hard ... Do I fix a problem or add new content? Ok, if I could only do 1 thing, it'd have to be new content: add mini games.

Yea, the more spots the better and let us choose which one each time. Maybe even add a distance from current location so if we are trying to avoid a toolbag, we can.

The only reason I leave it on is to listen to them scream, complain and try to insult me...lol Its music to my ears. Im one of those people that don't care about what people say as I don't take people literally.. I always look for what they actually mean and why. So when I get people yelling and insulting me because im beating them... Well, its just music to my ears.

Actually, i have found an alternate option to sleep in RD online, just chug about 10 beers and you will blackout and wake at random near location.

This is pretty flawed for many reasons. Myself and friends love to murder the crap out of each other for laughs and pvp practice. We also love to spawn kill the hell out of players and posses that **** with us. So my honor tends to bottom out pretty quickly. The reality is, this game needs invite only lobbies and... if possible. Friendly lobbies. And leave the normal lobbies for people who like the 'anything goes' type feel of the game.

I and many people will never spend money for gold. Can grind and get it. Plus already paid 80 for the game. They've got my money, and not a penny more. All of the suggestions have been great, my only concern is about no gamertag on top of no blip. I just see that as something that would backfire and give the griefers a little more leverage. Could do with less of that personally. Because as it stands, the past two weeks have been horrendous when it comes to these assholes for no reason. You get revenge then they run or want to parley. Yea, like others said, this is caused by the close respawn points. This could be avoided if they gave us an option to spawn in our camps after death. They need to sort out where Cripps sets up camp first. As it is now you could be in Tumbleweed, die and spawn in San Andreas where Cripps set up camp.

Yesterday was the first time I really suffered this, spent ages hunting in the swamp, rode to Rhodes to be safe and got shot in the head *at the actual butchers*, again, but this time the guy just sat on a buggy in Rhodes Main Street ghosting, other traffic going through him, for ages, denying me my fair return headshot. Do I let it spoil my fun? No way San Jose, I jumped into a race and forgot about it in 30 seconds. those feelings ain't no use to me...

Use the terrain to your advantage. I once popped 2 guys and their other 2 buddies joined the fight. I ran across a draw bridge and hid behind a rock on the other side. Using the draw bridge as a way to funnel them. After dropping them a few times for trying to cross they tried to flank me but I was able to get away. Try to get the high ground and cover.

From what I gather, they will be used for heists when they are enabled. So to break into banks and what not. Just hold on to them if you have em.

That plays through all the songs I believe. I haven't double checked but you can add them to your own playlist for the time being.

They are used to unlock doors and boxes silently. So if you come across something that is locked, use it. They don't do anything yet but will after beta is over. This is what I have heard anyways.

You won't earn any achievements or trophies if you save after activating them. I would recommend a play through without using them at least once!

Just going to the area gives you the popup. Could be the OP has been there already, or has a mission in progress, or bounty hunters are after them or has some other conflict active, like pissing off a passerby on a horse.

That's the first thing I do to trolls 😂. Nothing more satisfying than headshotting their horse then throwing dynamite as they fall.

The sad part is it already exists, just R* hasn't allowed us to access it.

I'm a simple sort, I start off most sessions by finding an NPC with the fancy hat I want for that session... melee, pick up hat, sorted. Sometimes I even get to take the hat into Series with me (though sometimes it doesn't come with me)... It's the little things...

I like to just get a group of 4 or 5 together and stand in a circle seeing who can hogtie who the fastest. Sounds stupid but it is hilarious on little sleep.

Shouldn't be an issue because gold bars can't be traded for in game cash. So you only gamble with your earnt money. And anyway i used to play texas holdem online with some friends on xbox 360 and you use in game money obviously. 1.Trains that are NPC controlled and can be robbed. 2. Heists 3. More game modes

One guy started abusing me on his mic, swearing and stuff and saying "girls shouldn't be playing these type of games" and he was so busy doing it he fell off a cliff and died

So I wanted to vent a bit here and ask if this is something happening to anyone else. Happened to me 3 times now. I join a server and a single player or maybe a small group just finds me and precedes to kill me for no reason. I spawn back in and within a few minutes they are right back by me and do it again. This happened 9 times the first time before I just gave up and shut the game off. I didn't have it happen for a few days after that and then I joined a server some odd days later and it started again. Is there some kind of cheat allowing players to target others and kill them over and over again or something?

My tv becomes an update and I can play it now and all of the game is great, but the graphics are not top notch, but the motion blur seems to be a lit reduced in patch 1.05 and I became no tired eyes anymore. The game is one of the best games I´ve ever played, but the technical aspects of the game destroying the immersion a little in conclusion to the xbox one x version. This is so strange just cause becomes better graphics with the first patch and a button to turn off the blur. Nothing from Rockstar. The blur is lesser in online mode. It looks not like the one x version but it is definetely one of the best looking games now for me.
