  1. So you're saying it's being made by a gaming company?

  2. To Anthem in February or The Division 2 in March. We won't see them until near the end of Beta, just because our tears taste delicious to them. Excellent point which gets to the heart of the matter for a lot of players who aren't keen on the PvP free roam mode: every single mode of RDRO is built around PvP, and there is no dedicated PvE scenario or game mode. Everything outside of free roam is strictly PvP, leaving PvE players or players who prefer cooperative MMO-style play out in the proverbial cold. R* doesn't owe the player base a dedicated PvE mode, but it would behoove them to make the status a toggle in Free Roam with a 60-second cooldown once the player is no longer in combat. Literally everyone would get what they want, apart from griefers. Literally nothing would change for anyone else. If it's good enough for the most successful MMO in history (WoW) it should be good enough for RDRO.

  3. Thanks for answer. I did play once with a couple of friends and it was ok for awhile but I really feel like I am forced to play the game on everyone else’s terms and to hell with the way I want to play. That just doesn’t go down right. Right now it feels like I am driving a school buss full of middle schoolers who are throwing crap at me, grabbing steering wheel and just anything to make buss wreck. Just not fun. I don’t mind playing with true pvp people because usually they don’t just mess with you for no reason.

  4. 2 spots for cougar that never fail (before the epilogue) up north near the legendary moose is a good spot, usually right near the river or just west of it. That bastard kills me more than i kill him. I've also seen one in the woods just southwest of annesbury, it's usually just a 1 star every time i've seen it though. second spot is near the trapper in West Elizabeth. once you turn away from the creek that feeds Lake Owanjila and head north, when you get into the low hills there's usually a panther on the hill to the right. if you camp near there you can do the cover scent/crouch walk and get your study/tracking done before shooting it in the head. if the cougar isn't in the 2nd spot then it's usually from a bear or wolves nearby if you need those pelts.

  5. You're right. You'll have to deliver Moonshine in a slow wagon while O'Driscolls, Murfees, & Lemyone Boys try to take you down like a pack of wolves on a wounded elk. What if that unicorn is producing ice cream instead of cannon balls? You're right, THIS is running away: That's exactly where I am until the "Beta" becomes the full release. Hardly appropriate to make an assessment of what we think it will be versus what it is right now. And right now, it's a bit of a mess. The troll move is to have it be a one-star carcass that's already skinned. That requires waaaaaay too much effort than your average troll is going to make. Most of the time, it's a crime of opportunity, nothing more, nothing less. I'd be willing to bet that apart from the afore-mentioned changes that are confirmed to be incoming (which I honestly believe will mitigate a big portion of the current issues), very little else will be done in the foreseeable future. If I had to guess, they're focused on lauching modes and content now, as opposed to mechanics. But I could be wrong.

  6. What about that is a glitch? Seems to be working as intended to me. Why else would they have a ladder leading to the rooftop?

  7. I'll wager the bow is going to be more popular when they change blips to proximity based. The report from weapons will become a means of detection of players in the area.

  8. @HuDawg you and @YodaMan 3D are never going to agree. This is like a tennis match back and forth and back and forth.. good lively debate well maybe. In writing Rockstar classifies "griefing" as "Disruptive Behavior" which makes it abundantly clear that it is a detractor and they consider it undesirable. While someone may want to defend the right to be shot in the back by a griefer, Rockstar will absolutely do something about it but only if and when enough players file the reports under disturbing behavior so they can determine the extent of it happening. I wish both of you had used the time for this thread in my posse. We would have all had fun, HuDawg getting to be the chief griefer assassin and Yodaman and I being protected to carry on as usual lol. The one benefit I have gotten from Reading every Post in this thread is that I will never buy or play GTA 🤯 whether it is lobbies or not I am going to place my faith in Rockstar providing some kind of relief.

  9. As I am so bad at this game, but I love the game, I've decided not to try and beat people in gunfights anymore...Now I'm going to strap dynamite around my waist and just run at them.

  10. I'd pay to play as Dutch. It'd be fun to watch him get his comeuppance. Shoot, now I have to go home and reroll my online character and make him a Dutch knockoff. "Dutchbag VanFlimFlam"

  11. I haven't heard the latest on Anthem, what I have seen I wasn't impressed. As for The Division 2, sounds like nothing really changed. You get 3 DZs, but it sounds like players are still allowed to grief just like before, except for camping at spawn points. Shoot they already got YouTubers calling for nerfs and the game isn't even out yet. They seem to be hanging on every word of their favorite YouTubers and ignoring the players already. hahahahaha.

  12. just found this thread luckily i live in the land of potatoes, and yes, pepper is a must for my mashed taters. however, cooking them for a family gathering i will not add pepper or salt, i let each person season their own, grandma can't eat salt and my uncle hates pepper, i usually don't claim him as a relative in public. for a single serving (might be double for most people, i'm not a small guy) you need 2 or 3 fist sized Idaho Russet taters, can't make good mashed taters without Idaho taters, nothing else compares. It's our soil Clean well, leave skins on chop em up and boil for 15 min or so in a bowl add 2 tablespoons butter, 2 or 3 strips of cooked bacon chopped into small bits, a spoon or 2 of chives, and a good squirt of ranch dressing. then add the taters and mash them, mixing it all together really well. add salt and pepper to taste. If htey're a bit on the dry side add another small squirt of ranch dressing, until they become almost creamy. add cheese, chili, or gravy as topping and chow down. If you have a good cut of steak, do a smoke rub on it then cook medium rare and move straight to the plate, don't rest if first. use the juices and run off from the steak as more flavoring to your mashed taters. If you do it this way swap out the ranch for a splash of milk so as not to take away from teh steak/rub flavor.

  13. Easiest way to level is just by playing the game normal. I'm almost in the 80s , just by doing stranger missions and constantly resetting awards/belt buckles. No need to troll in missions or climb a roof. I'm not powergrinding by any means though. I am taking my time.

  14. i've never had lumpy icecream unless it had something in it like chocolate chunks or nuts, etc. Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream is heaven in a tub. I don't want to eat ice cream wherever @SNAK3S is at lol

  15. Glad that all works for you but that's just not my game. Violates basic rule. If game isn't fun then don't play it. If r* doesn't make it good for pve type players they will just move on. Up to them I guess. I have gave them my opinion on suggestions but if it doesn't change I will move on after finishing story mission.

  16. @Moosh89 I find them consistently in the green circle on the map @Kormath posted. Just west of the fork in the road. @Foxtrot cougars are all over, so you're likely to find one while doing other things. Badgers can be a pain as well, but you can also find them in various locations.

  17. @FLIP there's a lot of ways to grind out XP. Replaying certain missions is one of them. I've personally found (in my limited time playing online) that actively looking to complete the online tasks/challenges will net you plenty of incremental XP bumps. Depending on the respawn rate of NPC's and how comfortable you are with a high level of dishonor, there's always the opportunity to loaf around butcher's creek or Van Horn and rack up Head Shot XP.

  18. All it is, is griefing. Players griefing in PvE can be just as bad as a PvP player doing it to a PvE player. Let Rockstar know and hope they actually fix it.

  19. You shouldn't let griefers stop you from trying PvP. With the right group it can be fun. Griefing wouldn't have to be apart of it.

  21. That's why I always take out the leader first (as long as you get the leader you get the credit right?) And maybe loot half the bodies because I'm too lazy to go through some 15 or so bodies. I only do all of them if there's no one in the immediate or near area. Otherwise I keep my horse close in case I need to bolt. Also, 3. Yes during a hideout I will kill you immediately. I've had those stolen from me too. 4. During a mission, instant deadly force if you come near or if I think you're positioning yourself to snipe. Although while I rode with my posse yesterday, some other posse leader started following me as I was following my leader while he was auto running afk. That sent me into panic mode and I aimed at him. He didn't have his gun out tho. Fired a warning shot. He swerved away for a bit but kept following. Rest of the posse was coming up hot behind him now so if he tried anything he was gonna get blasted to all hell. But surprisingly he didn't do anything. Just tagged along for some reason. Although we started a wagon mission he still followed. Didn't like that, so I and others kept ourselves between him and the wagon just in case.

  24. Once on that "Kerosene" mission, while most of us were riding along getting the story outline/narrative from the NPC, one player took off on his own and I didn't know why. He went straight for the train and killed all the Pinkertons. I guess while we went to grab the train to take to the location, he had already gone ahead and killed most of the NPCs at the station. When we pulled into the station on the train (we met very little resistance at all), we got the message to loot the industrialists, so he had gotten that far. By the time we actually got off the train, he had already looted them. I'm not even sure if he got on the train with us when we pulled off. I've learned my lesson now. I hang back to see if anyone goes straight to the train and follow them if they do. It's fine for those of us who have played the game since the beginning and have played out the whole story but it kind of ruins it for new players because they miss out on part of the action and story--and the XP, I'm guessing. I wish this mission was more like "Kill Them All..." where a player can ride ahead but all players are pulled together when the action starts. I only replay the "Kerosene...," "Kill Them All..." and "Kill Them Each and Every One" missions now anyway because I don't really care for the others. A note to some players--you can press a button on your controller to skip most cut scenes. Once you've enjoyed the cutscene for a story 10 or 15 times, please be merciful and press it. Don't get me wrong, even I found Mrs. LeClerk's retribution funny the first 20 or so times but now even that's a little boring.

  26. My set up is basic. Right now I just have an ikea table and a bookshelf with a small table in the corner that holds my console. There is a TV I have on an old dresser. I am hoping to move this year and actually have a legit game space. It is just in the corner of a spare room right now that has storage in it.

  27. As everyone else says, Varmint takes the cake. Bows are fun but they don't have as much use. Plus the rifle is great for both hunting and PvP. The bow can be a bit tricky.

  28. Red X is where you ride to and camp, actual camp is about on the blue X. Panther sometimes spawn to the east in the red circle, but most often just southeast in the green circle. using cover scent and slowly crouch walking and using eagle eye i get a panther every time. Not always 3 star but always a panther in one of those 2 spots. I find them there so often now i never go south of those areas. Just reload the save and look again. i never use bait always use cover scent wear headphones if you can. Headphones makes it so much easier to hear the panther growl when you get close. when you hear that stop, don't move but to turn in circles looking with eagle eye. I have auto aim enabled and frequently target the brush as i turn around until it locks on the panther. Then you have to wait for a headshot, (and don't forget to use dead eye), usually when it's charging at you. I die every few tries lol but then just restore to your save after camping and try again.

  29. In my last house i rented i had a nice game cave setup in the spare bedroom. blackout curtain over the window, small desk with my gaming pc, 40" TV and Xbox 360 on the other wall, hand me down lazy boy recliner, loved that chair, already broken in and so so comfy. I'd fall asleep playing games at times it was so comfy. Ugly baby poop brown color though. Computer chair was an executive type reclining desk chair, forget what brand. not quite as comfy as the recliner but comfy enough to endure a 8 or 10 hour game session. It was also a broken-in hand me down Had a 5 bulb ceiling fan, different color bulb in each socket, i'd just screw in the bulb for the color i wanted hte room to be that session. White glossy walls to reflect the color back. Blacklight decorations. Spent many a weekend hidden away from the world killing Orcs or whatever in that room

  30. Took me hours to finally get it right. Try again with the bait (potent bait will work better), but save just before dropping it. If it's not a 3 star, just reload and try again. If you spot it early enough you'll also be able to "study" it if you're interested in that achievement.

Awesome artwork, would love to know what and how you are doing this, because i would love to do this kind of artwork myself someday...

  32. Since the 3rd edition was created in the early/mid 1800's, i'm pretty sure the edition we used in school was much later. We used the Revised 14th, and probably 15th edition when i was in school. If you can believe anything on wikipedia

  33. K, That's a real nice area around there. I've caught lots of salmon from that lake. Yea.....It's tough to craft women if you dont have the right materials. I have seen lots of beaver around the lake. Have you tried there?

  36. No contest: Varmint ✓ You can't believe the number of kills I get just ridng from point a to point b: rabbits squirrels birds etc. And because it is 22 caliber I get a lot of perfect carcasses, feathers and pelts. But I have my shotgun handy in case of ambush or wolves. I think it is the first weapon of choice for griefers because of its head shot ability and the speed it chambers rounds. Consider today: my posse-mate and I were NPC-ambushed on a winding road and I didn't even realize I hadn't changed weapons. When it was over my posse mate teased me about being a terrible shot because of the number of rounds I had fired. But I'm going to venture a guess that I took out more of the bad guys than he did because even I was amazed at thep performance of that sweet little .22 and it's cheap rounds 👍

  37. If you're not terribly worried about speed and stamina, there turkoman is the best option. It's great in a shootout, doesn't spook and fight you in my experience. I use the silver turkoman when I'm fighting at night because I blend in very well. I do the same with the brown foxtrotter and green/black clothes. But I generally use my silver dapple foxtrotter for most things as my play style is to be very mobile, although she sticks out like a sore thumb. It's what I used in SP. As far as temperament, they are almost even with the turk winning out. Although, I sometimes feel it varies. Because my horse will follow me everywhere even if it puts her in danger. Where as my friend's horse is hard headed lol. I am not fond of the Arabians at all. Although their stats are pretty on paper, the temperament kills it for me. I have literally ran down cougars and gators with the turk. I have noticed, as far as "personality", the Turks are very.... sassy? Lol. The Foxes are more chill. Arabians are like brat children tho. Currently have both coats of foxtrotter and the silver Turk.

  39. I have both horses but like the Turk a tad more because I like bigger horses. I do a lot of fighting from horseback and those 2 work the best. The Turk also regenerates its stamina quicker than the MFT. Both are good and you can't go wrong either way. For me personally , the Turk works better in combat. I currently own 2 Turks and 1 MFT. Couldn't be happier.

  41. My brother had to go through a long and pointless custody battle when my nephew was a baby. He too applied for some sort of financial aid. When he went in for the interview, they literally told him "you're the wrong color" and sent him on his way. When I was looking for small scholarship opportunities through the local community college, I found that there is something for EVERYONE, excluding white males. There is such a thing as "white privilege", but we are also held to a different standard.
